I'm new to XDA, so I'm sorry if I'm posting in the wrong section.
I rooted my mobile and added TWRP after reading some guides, but can't decide on a ROM + Kernel combo. Stability is my top priority, since I customize my phone a lot and don't want to wipe + flash new roms over and over, as I don't have the time for it.
There are many Oreo roms available now, but won't they be kind of unstable if they haven't been here for a while? This is the only reason that I'm considering on being satisfied with a (hopefully more) stable Nougat version.
Resurrection Remix has the most amount of customization, but I haven't heard great things about its stability (sorry if I'm wrong, don't want to hurt anyone's feelings), and the Vegito kernel has a separate version for Lineage 14.1, so maybe it would be the most stable combo? Please guide me, I'm very new at this!
Thank you very much for your help!

For stability and battery backup, I would advise you a Nougat ROM like DotOS, AEX or RR but in their Nougat version

Ressuruction remix 5.4.5 is the best rom that we can ever get. Go for it

Thanks, I'll try RR 7.1. Kind of confused on which Gapps to install. In the install instructions it says ARM, but in the comments two people said arm64. Please show me the light.
Is a custom Kernel not necessary?

You don't have to bother about kernels, the ones already in the ROMs are ok.
About gapps, our device as a 64 bit ARM processor, so you need ARM 64 version

Hello everyone, I would like to know if there is a ROM, no bugs in Moto G5, no camera errors, errors of synchronizing contacts, 4G.
I wanted a stable rom as the stock.
The Moto G5 is not compatible with the treble project , how to install treble roms? (There is always a method so I was wondering if there are methods to install treble roms on a mobile phone that does not support, and I know you guys from the XDA forum do not play in service so there is a method to install treble rom on the Moto G5)
*I'm sorry for bad English, I'm new to the xda forum, I'll be grateful for a helpful answer.
Technically the G5 does support treble but it's still quite buggy, I wouldn't recommend using it atm.
There are no fully stable ROMs yet (and I highly doubt they will ever exist because we don't have too many developers). The USB tethering and camcorder issues will likely still exist. Use stock or get a better device.
I am on AOSiP treble and it works fine. Moto actions don't work, but camera and contacts (after manually installing latest play services apk) work. So it really depends on what you need... I am talking of Oreo obviously.

Go to the ROM section and to the Treble Lineage thread and follow instructions.
Hey guys
Can anyone please let me know which Pie rom is currently the most stable and stock? I have no problems with the current stock rom of this phone, but I need to try GCam so I need 64bit OS. Also because I have a 4gb variant and it's ram usage is capped at 3.6gb.
It would be really convenient if Turbo Charging and other Moto features could work with the rom, and maybe improve battery life too.
I'd really appreciate it if you all could share your experience. Thanks.
I'm currently using resurrection remix on the z2 Play. It works ok, the external battery mod is not supported but it's working and I've installed an app with root privileges to get more insight in the external battery's statistics. Android version is 8.1.0 and the ROM is downloadable from one of the z2 play threads here in XDA.
The Google camera is working, except for the slow motion camera.
I haven't done much ROM hopping yet as the prebuilt ROMs offering for this model seems limited.
I read the part where you say that you have the 4gb model but the OS is 32bit.
Same here, rediculous, one of the reasons that drove me to flash it with a custom ROM.
try Havoc GSI like me.
And return back here to write your feed back.
i'm using Havoc for a long time, and I will wait your feedback after use it.
Help

There's 4 to choose from.
Lin17
Pixel Experience
Crdroid
AOSiP
The first 3 are based off LineageOS, and are also using the same sources from Fagyi, so they are all very close and I believe have the same amount of bugs, namely, SlowMo, SeLinux permissive and I think IMS - VoLTE.
AOSiP is based on AOSP. I would personally make nandroid of current ROM and maybe flash all 4. If you flash just the ROM, it should boot rather quickly and then you can run them stock for a little bit to get an idea of the ROM. You will be your best critic.
Whatever one you end up on, I hope you enjoy it!
Fagyi has been like a machine with all the work he does for our device, and also for kindly sharing his work with us, so I can reap the benefits and be able to work on crdroid.

Very welcome my friend!!
Glad to hear you will be giving them all a shot, I think they all are great and each has a little bit of a different feel, and MODs and everyone uses them differently, so it can be tough to suggest someone a ROM. I don't think PE has a dedicated 10 ROM thread ATM, sorry about that, but you are correct you will be able to find latest information in that P thread.
Here is what I believe is the most up-to-date PE 10 ROM.
I think this ROM is still in beta so possibly why doesn't have thread yet. https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=4349826312261625110
If you give crdroid a go, always looking for feedback (both good and bad). Have fun and enjoy Android 10!
Pie ROMs are also more stable if you want to compare say crdroid P vs 10, or Lin17 vs Lin16

I just want to ask the developers or users to suggest me a BEST ROM MADE FOR LENOVO P2 so far upto now (andriod 7 to 10) which doesn't have any bugs or problems and everything is working.

Hi,
I am planning on repairing friend's phone (screen), and while i'm on it I would also like to de-google it = unlock + flash a custom ROM + microG. I did so on lavender using LOS 17.1 and except slo-mo and some minor location issues i'm very happy with the result.
Now, the thing is that it's possible that this phone will be used by my mom (if my friend will be willing to sell - for him it's a "in the drawer" phone).
That's why my priorities are for the ROM to be stable, reliable and maintained/updated (OTA preferrably). It would also be great if it was based on AOSP 10.
I'm not looking for "fireworks" like extreme customisation, gaming options etc.
I am taking into consideration:
Havoc (main candidate)
crDroid
Bliss ROM (although 10 Q is considered a beta).
...and in andvance I'm sorry for being a bit lazy and not using "search it for myself" method, but I think that for some of you it's a quick answer, while i would be digging through xda for days
Thanks

Just tested all 3 of them a week ago.
My personal opinion:
Havoc +++
crDroid ++
Bliss +
If I'm correct, OTA currently only works on bliss tho, but bliss currently using an outdated kernel so I recommend to wait for an update.
crDroid dev might fixed the OTA with the last update.
Even tho there's no OTA built in havoc, I still prefer it over the others. But this could change in a week, who knows?
Apart from stability, is there something worth recommending in regards to battery life? Are there custom ROMs that provide at least the same battery life as stock?
for me the best custom rom until now is this version: Bliss-v12.10-daisy-OFFICIAL-20200801

I am in this exact same situation: I am waiting for a screen to be shipped to repair a daisy phone, and I would like to degoogle it. Unfortunately, the least painful method (installing LineageOS for microG) is not an option because this device lacks official LOS support. So when you finally go for it, I would appreciate if you would comment the steps (which ROM with signature spoofing support you choose, how do you install/flash microG, how you install/flash F-Droid...).

I'll have to give it a try, thanks!
Hi,
I'm back - finally fixed the phone ...and now I'm "building" a degoogled device for my mom.
1) I saw that Bliss Q-based is not a beta anymore - that's good ..and it has OTA. I'm taking it into consideration.
2) On the other hand I would prefer crDroid (IF ...IF IT HAS OTA - can anyone confirm?)
3) No about Havoc which was my #1 until now - if it has no OTA (again, confirm? thanks ) it a big dis for me. BTW: Is manual update a pain-in-the-A? If it's as easy as downoad and flash via TWRP that's OK, but anything more on a longer term might be ...bleh ;P
@doragasu: If I install and degoogle my daisy I will tell you all about it. On lavender I had to follow a video on YT (microG + LineageOS), EXCEPT new microG framework is BUGGY (e.g. crashes when you try to go in "Location modules") so you have to install older version follow instructions, and when (as far as I remember) you install at least ONE location module, you can update framework.
Now, microG is NOT perfect - e.g on Telegram push notifications sometimes were missed (on Telegram X works fine), and location EITHER works 100% (GPS, WIFI, GSM) or 0% (still working on low-accuracy), although I rarely use location so it might take a while.
EDIT:
Ok, guys I think I'm gonna need some help :/ I tried to install Havoc 3.9 and I followed YT guide from here ( v=GylCEL_Xf_M ) but when I got to the flashing of the rom all i got was ERROR 1.
Help! ...i might figure it out myself, but maybe you know what's the deal. If I try to flash Magisk, all OK, but ROM, just
"Updater process ended with ERROR: 1".
...and it's exactly the same when I try to flash crDroid 6.10.
I'm clueless :/
Thanks
