Yes you will. However, you can't root or flash anything on it. The bootloader is permanently locked on the droid version.

You can use adb commands, but you can't flash a custom rom or root it. For the apps crashing, try wiping the cache partition or just do a factory reset as a last resort.

With a locked bootloader, you can't downgrade your device firmware, only update.
If a factory reset or cache wipe doesn't resolve things, you may have to ask a service centre for help, or hope a future firmware or app update fixes things.

Have you wiped your cache yet? It usually solves any persistent lagging on my device. Haven't experienced such crashing, ever. Try factory resetting as well. These are the only options you can try out, right now.
Have you tried side loading apks of those apps? That usually doesn't make any difference, but there's no harm in trying.
In the end, all you can do is wait for the oreo update.
Yep me too it keep crashing without any reason!
And im tired from waiting for oreo update

I took my GNex in the evening from the Assistance Center where they changed my broken MicroUSB port.
They flashed on it 4.0.4 ICS and they unlocked the bootloader.
I update the system with OTA to 4.3 stock.
In order to try the Xposed Framework I used the Toolkit to take root access.
Then, connecting my Google account, when Play Store started to install all of my apps it prompted out an infinite list of error:
first (403)
then (920)
Flashed two times 4.3 stock via Toolkit, locked and unlocked, rooted and unrooted but... nothing.
Also tried to delete my account, delete play store data, delete framework data, wipe cache, wipe dalvik... nothing works.
Phone is uselss in this way... so if anyone has figured out what to do, please let me know.

I seem to have the same problem. I can't update nor download apps from the play store because I keep getting 403 errors.
Everything was fine until I flashed CM REMIX rom. That's when I started getting the errors. However nobody is complaining about anything like this on their thread. I've also tried using different gapps packages.
Could it be a server side thing? My other devices seem to be working fine on the same network...

Almost sure it's a server side thing at this point.

If it is, I hope it gets fixed soon, coz my phone barely has any apps right now...

Since you are flashing the official 4.3 rom, I really think the problem will just go away by it self (hopefully very soon)
Edit: It started working now all by it self!

Just though you should know: droid-life.com/2014/02/11/psa-handful-of-android-device-owners-being-met-with-403-error-in-google-play
As title, i root my tab s 8.4 today by the cf-auto root, after that i could not use any Google service.
i tried the method i could search on the forum, reset auto date/time, clear cache, delete google service data/ apps, update these service, factory reset, clean flash rom and its still not working. now i totally cannot download any apps from playstore or use apps that connected to google play.
update: after send to samsung service center, they could not found out whats wrong with my tab. They reflash local original firmware for me(before send i flashed a Russia firmware). somehow they able to erase all stuff very clean without leaving any trace that i mess up and it work perfectly. BTW they did do it free for me (under warranty even i rooted and trigger the knox to 1 with warranty void).

Thats a random one, best solution i can give you there is going into settings and doing a full reset, your tablet gets wiped but your personal documents get left...then when you sign back into google all ur apps should redownload themselves and your contacts and it will still be rooted m8....let us know how you get on pal.

Crikey....then i would reccommend
Flashing http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...recovery-twrp-2-7-1-0-touch-recovery-t2817100 , twrp recovery.
Then this rom
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-tab-s/development/prerooted-stock-touchwiz-rom-t2973107 t800/t805
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-tab-s/development/stock-tw-rom-galaxy-tab-s-8-4-t2995235 t700/t705
If this doesnt do the trick just dwnload the latest firmware for you from sammobile.com , extract the file inside the zip, use odin to flash it...this is the 1.6gb sized file im talking about, it will completely re go over EVERYTHING there is to go over except obviously your personal stuff...you will end up with an unrooted deep factory reset devices...then try another root method...if your feeling brave ...good luck m8

The only thing I can suggest is installing cm11 and flash the gapps package. It should remove google play and reinstall it.

Installer? You need to install twrp recovery. Just download flashify (from playstore) and install the latest twrp.
I assume you have the Tab S 8.4 SMT700? If so http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=54549581 is the link and download for cm11. This is for google apps forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2397942
And download this for supersu http://download.chainfire.eu/supersu
Just download all that.

other solution i used, clear data, clean cache, uninstall update for playstore apps and google framework service, no luck.
then i do a factory reset, yet cant connect to playstore...last option, i do a clean flash from the rom i download, still the same
yesterday i send to samsung service center, they could not figure out whats the problem, had to left at there for further check
will update the problem from Samsung SC once i get my device back

Auto-update got some issues that need to be fixed in the BETA build. Let's wait for it.

It's been already 3-4 days where I'm flashing, bricking and restoring my phone, all this for a crappy gcam... But anyway, after first flash I see that OTA updates are ****ed up, but that's ok, Netflix still works just fine. Fast forwarding to today, I flash again stock ROM after being stuck without touchscreen on TWRP, but this time weirdly enough OTA updates work just fine, in fact now I'm have March update, but Netflix just doesn't install itself. So I check on the play store and I don't find it, I check on internet and I see that it doesn't work on rooted phones... Guess what, mine isn't rooted at all. But still has it's bootloader unlocked.

install netflix from apkmirror, Wipe data and cache from playstore and reboot. It could be the bootloader unlocked, in that case youll have to root it with magisk to get the safetnet working.
