That's the regular Android app. The version for FireTV works with the remote.
bump...I am also looking for this, would be greatly appreciated. I saw there was something done lately for the TWC app, can this be done for the U-verse app as well to make it work?

Sure, Will try a different upload site so the link lasts longer... Was able to upload to it without registering.

Any chance of getting that Firetv uverse apk again? Also, is there a reliable source to get the firetv specific apks from? The only ones I can find are for tablet versions of the programs.

Hi, would someone be able to extract the TVPlayer APK to use on Android TV?
It's geoblocked to Amazon UK accounts. I was able to download the app through the Amazon appstore, however it was the mobile/tablet version and not the TV optimised variant which I got.

There is no input&language option in settings, and the settings.apk didnot work on stick 4k（the gen 3 stick）,so the only way to change the input method is using the adb link.
Like this！：
Install shouxin apk (or other input method you like)
adb link the stick
adb shell ime list -a
(you can check out all the input methods on the device. Confirm the name "com.xinshuru.inputmethod/.FTInputService")
adb shell ime enable com.xinshuru.inputmethod/.FTInputService
(enable it)
adb shell ime set com.xinshuru.inputmethod/.FTInputService
(select it.Done!)
May be it's not useful for English-speaking susers. But for the asian users it is important to change the input method.

最近搞了台element4k 多亏了这个论坛 让我学到很多知识。 然后关于切换输入法的方法其实还可以通过最新版的kingroot来设定。我那台element fire tv电视已经被我搞得完全本地化了，很舒服。最后，一起加油！

其实最主要还是语言沟通不太方便 我一直再用网页翻译看帖。有些东西还是只能看个大概。即便是这样，对我的帮助也很大了！

不能root么？不是可以用锡纸棍么？另外有没有什么好用的输入法啊？刚才发现装好的搜狗拼音用不了，改了WIFI密码，重新设置搞了好半天。

Thanks, but only 1.5.178.0 can be used in sony tv on sale in china. Sony TV in china don't install GMS framework，only 1.5.178.0 amazon youtube version can login google accout. So we all request 1.5.178.0 version.
