Hello,
Starting a couple days ago my Fiance's s8+ began enabling the blue light filter at sundown, problem is that we have her blue light filter disabled. If we turn on the blue light filter, it will become a little stronger, but remains enabled when toggled off. I have attempted to set a schedule that runs it for a minute at like 0400, but the filter remains on. If we reboot the phone, the Tmobile boot screen is pure cool glorious white and remains that way until the login screen appears, then it slides into blue light filter
Phone: Galaxy s8+
Software: R16NW.G955USQU2CRB9
Symptoms
* Blue light filter is on, even after being disabled or tricked into shutting off
* Blue light filter is enabling at sundown and disabling at sunrise
Settings:
* Blue light filter is disabled from the settings menu
* Blue light filter is not on a schedule
Trouble shooting and info:
* Disabled all apps permission to draw over the screen
* Wiped Blue light filter system app storage
* Rebooted
* Searched for suspicious apps
* toggled location and rebooted
* Blue light filter remains enabled even when color settings are modified
* Blue light filter remains on even when accessibility color settings are modified.
* Blue light filter appears to disable when Negative colors is enabled.
* Blue light filter does not appear in screen shots
This is driving us bonkers and we would like to avoid factory resetting the phone, so any advise from experience is appreciated.
Yes, I searched the forum, but could not find what I needed.

This is a result of having night light set to automatic in Google Play books. It seems to toggle the Android OS implementation of a similar feature.

I am using Light Flow but have been seeing a yellow notification light and there is nothing that it is notifying. I am not positive, but I think I saw the same color notification before loading Light Flow.
I can not figure out what this is notifying me of and in Light Flow I don't have anything notify me in yellow.
Anyone know what's going on with the light?
I have the same issue as well. Even after I uninstalled light flow it remains.
You need to go into whatever is set for yellow, and find the setting that removes notifications. I had yellow set for google talk, but the notification light would go off until I physically opened the app, even if the notification was removed from the status bar. You can set it so that the notification light disappears upon turning on the screen.

Yea, I uninstalled the app, when I did have it I did use the setting you mentioned but it didn't help.
It would be nice for Google to build in something like Light flow into the system Nativity that wouldn't be so buggy.
Updated to 8.0.0, it was fine, some apps (like Waze) got forced close quite often so I did a cache clear (in Recovery Mode). Now the display color is totally washed out, especially starting from 50% brightness. Any idea the reason could be? THanks
Oh, and I notice that if I go to Display Setting - Screen Mode - Adaptive Display - Advance options, what ever I do with the 3 channels (Red, Green, Blue), the display color doesn't change a bit
On Nougat there is a Display setting called "Screen mode". Does it still exist on 8.0, and if so, maybe it has changed due to the cache clearing?
Edit: Did not read post properly, sorry. Although, have you tried to change between the different screen modes?
Aodnotify for A50
Always on Display on notification! Notification light and edge lighting!
You miss notifications because your phone doesn't have a notification light / LED?
aodNotify will use Samsung's Always On Display (AOD) as a notification light / LED!
The app will automatically activate the Always On Display (AOD) when you receive notifications and disable it when notifications are cleared. With this you always know when you have new notifications!
To recognize new notifications even better, you can activate an edge lighting effect and light up the screen or camera edges, which makes a normal notification light look outdated
As the app uses Samsung's Always On Display it has minimal battery consumption and doesnt drain your battery like other apps which keep your phone awake!
Simply select which apps are allowed to turn on Always On Display or edge lighting and get notified on important notifications.
Furthermore you can automatically activate the Always On Display while charging your phone so you can see the charging state.
FEATURES:
• Activate Always On Display (AOD) on notifications
• Edge lighting effect for incoming notifications
• Notification light / LED around the camera
• Disable Always On Display when notifications are cleared
• Select apps which can turn on Always On Display
• Activate Always On Display while charging
• Minimal battery consumption

Thanks for your app, it's excellent .
Been using it for a week or so and to be honest i think i prefer this than having an actual notification LED.
This is what the phone needed. Thanks
I've been running LED Blinker Pro for about a year now. It allowed me to set the LED to different colors for texts, missed calls, upcoming appointments, and a host of other things (Signal messages, Facebook messages, low battery etc...) and a user selectable blink rate compared to stock.
Recently, possibly after updating to Pie, things with the LED have changed. Now, when I am charging the phone, the LED goes solid red. When the battery is full, the LED goes solid green. The LED blinks a slow blue when Bluetooth in on. Basically it's doing things I don't want it to do, and it overpowers my own app, rendering it mostly unusable. I uninstalled LED Blinker Pro to see if there was an issue with that app, but the new LED issues remain
I looked throughout the phone's settings, but I cannot find where these "new" LED notification settings are. I'd like to turn them off, and have everything controlled by the app I paid for. I did find a toggle under Settings>Apps & notifications>Notifications>Blink LED, but that turns the LED "off" so that there's no blinking at all, with both the "new" LED features and the paid app. But, I do not want the LED totally off, I just want to be able to control it like I have been able to do over the past year.
Is this new LED blinking function a function of PIE? Has anyone figured out how to change settings for it? Can it be disabled so that I can use my own app to control the LED?
Anyone know why my lock screen display ignores my brightness and blue light filter settings? Before unlocking, my screen is always bright and does not have the blue light filter enabled during the scheduled hours I have set.
I have tried disabling the "Brighten screen" option in the Face recognition settings with no luck. Is this normal behaviour?
