Bricked my mi mix 2, need help - Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 Questions & Answers

hi guys, I got aserious problem! I received a new mi mix 2, waited 3 Days, unlocked bootloader and flashed twrp - so far so good. But idiotically, while flashing a custom rom, I wiped everything. So now I'm standing here with access to twrp and bootloader, but no OS! I tried flashing global rom via mi flash but always got an error. Trying to flash via cmd failed too. So is there someone out there who knows the right commands for flashing? Help very much appreciated!!

If u have TWRP, go there, mount on Windows, dowload a ROM, then transfer to chiron and flash ... easy
Having Bootloader and Recovery doenst mean, necessarily, "bricked"

Or copy ROM to USB OTG, mount USB OTG in TWRP and flash ROM from there ?

If u use the flashtool u have to use Fastboot Roms not the Normal Rom. Good Luck

Boot into recovery twrp, and use the sideload adb function or connect your phone to computer and transfer a ROM to your phones storage.

In fastboot mode fastboot flash recovery twrpfilename Then you should have twrp back. (of course you need to have the twrp zip file on your computer)

I tried to Flash the recovery and it worked but the thing is that i cant seem to boot on TWRP.
I think that it Became Locked When i removed TWRP
So is there a way to unlock it again without anything but fastboot?
You can install boot.img via fastboot method
After that you can flash twrp in recovery mode
You should get an unpacked stock image of the system, boot and recovery partition (if you need that, I can provide one); then, you’ll have to flash every partition you need to recover with fastboot.

From other thread:
Q9: How to flash custom recovery and custom ROMs on "Anti-Rollback" enabled devices?
A: On "Anti-Rollback" enabled ROMs you cann't flashcustom recovery permanently. You'll have to boot into recovery first by running fastboot command:
Code:
fastboot boot xyz.img
(where xyz is name of your recovery file). Once you're booted into the custom recovery, copy the recovery image file in the internal storage and flash that recovery from recovery itself. Now you've successfully flashed custom recovery and you're good to go with custom ROMs. WARNING: Avoid flashing any firmware.

Like i said, it doesnt work. I cant Boot the recovery.img. If I Do, the adb console is stuck at showing:
K:\REDMI NOTE 5\Minimal ADB and Fastboot>fastboot boot "K:\REDMI NOTE 5\mod.twrp-3.2.3-0-whyred.img"
downloading 'boot.img'...
and sometimes on the phone screen theres a message on the left upper side theres a message with something like "you need to reboot" and the device is disconnected
EDIT: don*t know why, but on laptop of my wife it was working, like some weeks ago on my win 10 computer too. so solved

Problem installing TWRP

Hello,
Yesterday, i spent 7hours trying to install TWRP on my brand new Mi A2 Lite. At the end, i had the message, system is destroyed.
I could flash a new rom using Miflash. Now, my phone is working with 10.0.4.
When i try to boot in recovery, i have the no command message with the android green guy on his back ....
So know is it useful to install the original recovery before trying to install TWRP ? If, yes, how ?
If not, and i can install TWRP. Please, can someone give me a working tutorial ?
Thx in advance !

The recovery with the green guy is the stock one. For twrp: put twrp.zip in your storage or sd card and you must start in fastboot (fastboot boot twrp.img). Once you booted in twrp you flash twrp.zip from storage to have it permanently. Since you have pie firmware it might be better to use twrp from here which is said to be built with pie kernel, I'm not sure that's necessary.
