Souns like a trip to ASUS for you...
I hope you unlocked the bootloader before trying to install a custom recovery/rom...
there is no way to solve the hard-brick right now. you should bring your babe to Asus center.
Hi there. To start off, I have no idea what I am doing (which is why my phone is bricked in the first place). I rooted a while back to 4.4 and had some problems with battery drain and lag. I foolishly thought that I could just restore factory settings and go back to original, and it worked fine for a bit. I began to have problems with it rebooting randomly, then the battery fully drained and was stuck in a restart loop. That was fixed for a short bit until it restarted one day and now just sits on the Note 2 screen.
I've found a few different tutorials but nothing has worked. I can't access the system restore screen while booting, but I can get into download mode. I think my issue is that I never turned USB Debugging back on after I restored the factory settings.
Is there anything I can do, or is my precious little phone dead for good? :crying:
Thanks a bunch!
Saludos, tengo el mismo problema con mi note 2 i317

Well, that or have an unlocked bootloader.
XiaomiADB sideload_miui worked to re-flash... but same issue happens, and can't downgrade back to android 7.1.
Is the cause of this known?
Hm... and there aren't any disassembling directions for the full ceramic body that I can find =/. Anyone seen anything?

What exactly does this do? Does it "convert" the G920P to a G920F? Can I flash LineageOS, which requires a G920F, after this?

So, I roughly followed the instructions in the first of OP's links ("This for Unlock G920P based on Marshmallow 6.0.1").
"Roughly" because I'm on Linux, and I don't have Odin, but I used Heimdall similar to Aral Balkan's guide "Flashing stock firmware onto a Samsung Galaxy S9+ (SM-G965F) on Ubuntu 18.04 using Heimdall".
The first step was to flash all the partitions of the big image ("Convert to G920F"). After doing that, the phone booted, said "Installing system update", and showed an error, but it seemed to resume installation, and at the end, it booted to recovery.
That is when I wiped the cache and factory reset.
Then, I hit "reboot system now" and went through the initial setup, and after the startup completed, it made a short vibrating/popping noise which concerned me, but after that it worked! No more Sprint logo, nor activation prompts! Cheers @Asror !
The second step was to flash the radio ("fix Modem/Network"). This didn't seem to make much of a difference, I had the same signal even before flashing, but the signal quality is not that good. Maybe this is impossible to do with this device, or I did it wrong (I flashed --RADIO modem.bin). But maybe it's just the fact that LTE doesn't quite have good signal in Romania where I am.
Choosing Settings -> Connections -> Mobile Networks -> Network mode to "3G/2G (auto connect)" seems to work much better than "LTE/3G/2G (auto connect)" (again, in Romania, where I am. I have no idea how this phone got to this country and why, but it was cheap).
Adding an APN with Orange Romania's settings makes data work.

Tried flashing TWRP for zeroflte, but it didn't recognize my touch screen (couldn't swipe to unlock), it only reacted to the power button.
Then I wanted to flash TWRP for zerofltespr, but I couldn't get into download mode anymore. Holding Down+Home+Power only shows me the S6 logo for a long time, then I get into the stuck TWRP again.
I panicked a bit; then I remembered the command "adb reboot download", which let me successfully get into download mode and install the correct TWRP. Luckily the wrong TWRP still had adb working
Installing the wrong TWRP was scary; I could have bricked the device. Don't do it!
Then, trying to install Lineage for zerofltexx did NOT work. I got "E3004: This package is for device: zerofltexx, zeroflte; this device is zerofltespr."
I'm a bit sad I couldn't get LineageOS to work. The freer the software, the better the civilization. After all this, I decided to give up on it, and to re-flash Asror's image. This image is a much better one than what my phone came with (the Sprint-nagging one). I still appreciate your work, thank you Asror! :highfive:
Just in case Linux people find it easier to follow with Heimdall:
Code:
# Go to Download mode (while turned off, Vol down + Home + Power)
# Flash the full system (extracted from OP's first file)
heimdall flash --BOOTLOADER sboot.bin --CM cm.bin --BOOT boot.img --RECOVERY recovery.img --RADIO modem.bin --SYSTEM system.img --CACHE cache.img
# In Recovery, I did a factory reset and a cache partition wipe. This might not be necessary, I have no idea.
# Flash the radio fix from "fix Modem/Network one"
heimdall flash --RADIO modem.bin

Good. But the problem of this rom when i root my device or install a TWRP, does not accept to connect Smart Viewer
Flashed my G920P with the files here. I'm on T-Mobile with it. So "F" fixed the issue with Samsung Messages not sending mms on Wifi. Possibly it seems more stable then "P" on TMo - no more random freezes restarts but it's only been a few hours so we shall see (I happen to think the freeze/restarts is a bad batch of mother boards from my research) . The only issue I have with this "F" ROM is fingerprint unlock no longer works. I set it up pin/finger and it lets me swipe to unlock - even after a restart. oh well.... it was fun experimenting.
Update: VoLTE does not work on T-Mobile

lukasb06 has a Lineage-based ROM called NexusOS that will work on the G920P, the only problem is that RIL/modem doesn't work. I'd like to know if that works after converting to G920F but I'm afraid to try converting my device because I actually have Sprint and I'm afraid if I do this I won't be able to connect to the Sprint network anymore.
You could probably also try installing TWRP for zerofltexx and then using the twrp command over ADB to flash Lineage.
Yess nexusOS pie and oreo works, and lineageos 15 too, stable roms but sadly modem doesnt work ,no cool custom rom for us

EDL flash with miflash.
Use fastboot oem edl.
Yes EDL flash seems to be the fix, I also had the same issue. I'd suggest flashing Oreo though. Some Q (10) ROMs seems to mess with the sensors and stock partitions of the device. I had this issue after flashing the PE 10. If it doesn't fix it try upgrading to Pie from Oreo and then flashing Oreo via EDL again. I don't really know what fixed my issue but after a few tries with EDL it fixed itself.

Heyy i recommend the both of you to EDL Oreo first and after that any pie build you want after that all the problems should be fixed.
reasoning behind this is that my phone was stuck in a boot loop while i was developing the daisy q gsi from a while ago and doing the above fixed it so good luck !
