Hi, I'm ready to donate to the user who can help me to get my local GSM carriers working in my used Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 LTE.
It is pre-owned, clean IMEI (no financial problem nor blacklisted issue), and I can see the SPRINT user data everytime I flash the stock ROM (Sprint number, user Sprint email, etc). I'm running MM 6.0.1
I have flashed stock ROM > rooted (CF-Auto-Root) > unlocked and debranded (idoneapps app) > flashed custom recovery (TWRP).
After that I have tested all the setting I could find here and in ohter websites including:
- gsm.zip patch (installed but not working)
- DFS tools (new GMS/UMTS/LTE bands enabled succesfully!)
- Enabling Global Mode on Service Mode (nothing changes)
- Editing build.prop system file (nothing changes)
- Runing some adb commands (nothing changes)
Current situation is:
- Now I can see the new bands added (GFC Settings)
- There is not more the message "Connecting to netwok" on the top left corner
- APN configurad correctly
- The carrier signal icon is always empty
- I still can't set "GSM auto (PRL)" as the "Preferred network mode" under Radio Settings
- No internet connection at all (GSM/HSDPA/LTE)
Any solution for this?

BTW you should post in Galaxy Note 2 Q&A forum ( use xda device search engine to locate it)
A modem change might give you results only after you have checked your APN ,
Quick Guide
First Check your settings > about phone > status > your phone number ( IF UNKNOWN )
You won't be able to send SMS by any third party sms apps or Have a Network connection
Solution :-
You need to edit that "unknown" number to your phone number, by putting your SIM card on any old phone that has a "my number/owner number" option, (most old phones do). Edit and save it to the proper phone format as your Sim Card number (Example: +63913XXXXXXX). Now put the SIM back to M110S, to solve this problem.
Than check your system settings, in Settings > Wireless & Networks > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names.(APN) as provided by your Network provider . If your Apn is not set, you wont be able to have data connection, so set it first
If still no data connection, Common Trick is to toggle WIFI and Airplane mode or
1. Turn ON WIFI
2. Set the phone to Flight Mode
3. Power down the phone for a few Minutes
4. Power it back up
5. Turn OFF flight mode
6. Turn OFF WIFI
Should get Data back

Greetings to all. There is a Samsung GT-I9195 Galaxy S4 Mini LTE, operator MTS, sim with support for 4G (tested on another phone - LTE appears at once), the firmware 4.4.2, item selection LTE / WCDMA / GSM in the Settings menu is selected, but the phone in any does not want to catch 4G.
Also there is a strange feature in the service menu, in which I go through the program Advanced Signal Status (incidentally a good substitute command * # * # 4636 # * # * which is closed in the latest firmware), do not select LTE only, not selected EvDO only .
Can someone tell me what is the problem and how to fix it?
Try flashing a stock ROM again.
install different firmware was 4.2.2 and 4.4.2, and the result of the same everywhere, do not select LTE only, not selected EvDO only
I have received a p607t tablet, it was flashed by smb. to p905 firmare (with no imei). i re-flashed it with stock P607TUVUBOI2 firmware (4 files, so-called "service" firmare), imei is back (to what is printed at the back-side) but mobile networking *still* doesn't work: no connection. I'm using not t-mo sim-card, but looks like the tablet was already unlocked
From service menu *#0011#:
SERVICE : LIMITED
NETWORK : UNBLOCK
IMEI Certi: PASS, 1
From Advanced Signal Status:
Carrier:
Network Type: Unknown
Signal info: n/a
Neighboring CID: no neighboring cells --- wtf? >> other devices work ok with this sim in lte and 3g modes<<
GSM service: emergency calls only
GPRS service: disabled
Any ideas?
OK, so, what is done with p607t to the moment:
1) reflashed CP (modem/RF??) to latest stock (P607TUVUBOI2)
2) reflashed AP/PDA (core system??) and CSC (consumer stuff??) to P605XXU1EOI5 (from p605, have one right here - it never had network-lock from factory)
3) using qpst and qxdm changed nv parameters (extended lte bands, enabled gsm rf-bands - there were none in stock at all, only wcdma)
now the tablet sees my local gsm network with this sim-card, signal is 4/5 bars, but still no internet connection - WTF??
p.s. when trying manually to register in my local network - it fails with "try again later"
p.p.s.: what is i find weird, in service menu *#0011#:
NETWORK : UNBLOCK
- this line exists only on p607 - is this the key?
Then, i insert this sim into p605 (completely stock P605XXU1EOI5) - it works like a charm
need some help - where to dig next? point direction plz
UPDATE. i've been tweaking 607t nv items with qxdm, making it alike that ones 605 has. practically everything is alike now, but still it doesn't even try to establish data connection with cell...((
btw, 605 does not have "esf embedded file system", while 607t has one (can be seen through qpst-esf explorer)
also, some nv-items present in one model, some present in another

I had to flash back to the original kitkat firmware and take OTA to upgrade to lollipop. There is a known issue with the 607t losing data after roms are flashed. Some had luck with flashing the same rom twice but it never worked for me. Used Sam mobile to pull original and went from there. Good luck
I performed "device init and reflash" with Keis. The device is back to stock completely, except:
- nv items data
- esf embedded file system data
so... my guess - i need to restore these in order to have mobile networking working.
could someone post a qcn-file with factory esf-data?
ok, let's take another way: how can i get some gsm-module debug-output or log to understand, what's going on it?
i'm trying to write some custom modem.bin to /dev/block/mmcblk0p2, but after reboot data in there is reverted to stock modem.bin - how come?? is that bootloader doing? where is the stock-one stored?
I've spent 3 days trying to enable GSM and LTE bands in my Swift following this guide from here. But when I try to use the QPST, the software does not recognize my device.
Does anyone knows the secret code to enter in the USB Settings? I've tried a lot of them but without success.
My steps were:
Unlock the OEM - check
Install CyanogemMOD 13 (6.0.1. Marshmallow) - check
Enable Developer Options and enable debugging and Root Access (I couldnt install SuperSU coz I got bootloop twice) - check
Access to USB Settings to change from AP to CP - uncheck
Does anybody knows how to proceed?
I'm from Brazil and I really need to add new bands to get a better signal reception for GSM and the right band for LTE (700Mhz).
Anyone?
I just need the secret code to enable the usb settings.
The problem was my carrier and not the phone.
I've changed the carrier and boom... 4G working nicely.
Hi,
I recently bought a second hand smartphone Galaxy S4 GT-9505 which according to IMEI info was first delivered on 2013 r. and uses a Qualcom Snapdragon 600 APQ 8064T chipset and is powered by a 4.2 Jelly Bean android version. I use a French Orange SIM card that works normally on other phones.
I installed the recommended version of LineageOS for this device.
The installation went smoothly and the system boots normally. Nevertheless, after booting I can see a barred SIM card icon on top of the screen.
In the Mobile network settings only one entry is available, i. e. :
- Data roaming is greyed and not accessible
- Preferred Network type is greyed and not accessible
- Connected line identification is accessible
- Access Point Names is greyed and not accessible
- Network Operators is greyed and not accessible
Finding a tuto dealing with this kind of issue, I phoned *#*#4636#*#* . Then I could go to Phone info menu and there I could see this :
IMEI : my imei
Phone number : unknown
Current Network :
Signal strenght :
Voice Service:
Data Service: Disconnected
Voice Network Type: Unknown
Data Network Type: Unknown
Voice Call Status:
Roaming:
Set Preferred Network Type: here is a dropdown list. According to the tuto I tried every value but all of them failed to revive anything.
Is this a known issue and what can I do ?
Same can't find any info. I am using a oneplus T6
