First time installing crDroid to your S4, or coming from another ROM:
- Make sure you're running a proper working Recovery (CWM or TWRP)
- Copy GApps and crDroid zip to your internal SDCard
- Boot into Recovery
- Wipe system,data and cache
- Flash crDroid zip
- Flash GApps zip
- DO A DATA WIPE / FACTORY RESET
- Reboot
Upgrading from earlier version of crDroid:
- Copy crDroid ZIP to your internal SDCard
- Boot into Recovery
- Wipe system and cache
- Flash crDroid zip
- Flash Gapps
- Reboot
Don't expect any support if you:
- are not running stock crDroid-kernel

Ive installed supersu 2.46 with philztouch recovery. The rom stuck in the Boot Logo. Ive to hard reboot and reinstall the rom.

You don't need to flash SuperSU. It is already rooted. Just go into Developement Settings in Settings app and scroll down until you see Root. Set it to Apps.

When I try to install the application from SD card message appears:
"Encountered an error. Process failed.". I also have a problem with Supresu because it is not visible
and not active (says AddBlock) although I turn it on in Developer options. What to do. ROM looks great.

Flash supersu in recovery. And I also got the process failed dev says ignore it which I did and rom was fine

No need to install supersu because the rom have root access you have to go to settings -about phone-and activate develeper options from there you enable root access

I for 1 am glad that crDroid is back! Used it all the time when Jeje was still around. Installed 7.0 without problems (just ROM + Opengapps Pico), but ext sd card is not accessible and Titanium Backup Pro crashes. Could that be the root-access?? Enabled build-in root in DevOp.

Great work! Did anyone try Bluetooth? Is it stable?

First time installing the ROM, Titanium Backup worked, but I couldn't restore anything.
Second time flashing the ROM, Titanium Backup could not even get root privileges. I also flashed SuperSU afterwards and still nothing.
No crashes though.
This ROM definitely has a problem with root. Too bad, as it's the most customizable Nougat ROM for the S4 so far.

1) Copy crDroid zip, gapps zip to your device
2) Boot into Recovery
3) Wipe cache, system, & data (or just cache & system for a dirty flash).
4) Flash ROM
8) Flash gapps
9) Boot up
For root, AFTER you boot into the ROM, you can go back to recovery and install Magisk XX.x (whatever is most recent).
Upgrading from earlier version of crDroid:
The only difference between clean flash as above and upgrading is you just wipe system & cache, leaving data. Everything else is the same. ***Remember to always clean flash before reporting problems. Clean flashing is always the best method of ROM install.

Please sr.benefactor -rommaker add to hardware key useraction "make screanshot" when long press. This rom is one is the best on may ZE601KL . yeh ! i m install this is it on Z00T-model (im replase kernel for z00t - fire kernel 2.5 )

Can we install magisk in this ROM??Coz want to use magisk modules is there any option to use masgik not the prerooted option.

1.switch root access for adb and aplicatins on dev.options (settings > system > developer options > Root Access)
2. install Magisk manager and run it
3..Install Magisk in to interface Magisk Manager (select method - direct patch boot)
4. reboot and we have Magisk on device.

hmm.. i have downloaded asus file manager, sandisk memory zone, and use inbuild rom file manager.
only sandisk memory zone can read it, but its show 1.8MB capacity. (mine 64GB)
so i began searching some article, and found some clue, they said it might caused by partition format (exfat,ntfs etc)
is that true?

I also confirm - there is a problem with sd card support. The phone wants to format it. When I connect the phone to the computer, it also does not show the card but only the internal memory of the phone.

So I formatted the sd card over the phone and now there is the FAT32 file system - this is unacceptable because there is a limit of 4GB per file.
Kernel does not support the exFAT file system.
On the GENOM kernel, the sd card works without problems on exFAT

1. Installing the EdXposed library in three different recent versions for Xposed causes continuous interface restarts.
2. The phone starts with a very bright screen set, you need to dim manually, it is in autmatic mode - adjustment between the darkest and lightest screen settings looks like 25-75%.
3. Every time when the Gmail application checks for new e-mails, the phone plays the notification sound, even if there are no new messages. Sometimes the notification sound can be heard as nothing happens.
4. The flashlight shines VERY bright, much brighter as in MIUI, much brighter as in camera application. I'm afraid it might get damaged at the hardware level.
5. There is no way to set the BACK button to force applications to close. In general, I miss gesture for buttons.
6. There is no possibility to set older applications to fill the entire screen, to adjust to the screen aspect ratio, they work in 16: 9
7. It seems to me that the volume of the multimedia phone and the ringer is set too high.
8. Camera and other applications only record videos in 30fps, 4k is not available, the sound in the recordings is MONO. This is the fault of the settings in the file: media_profiles_V1_0.xml

If he's on MIUI, he is probably encrypted, so he will have to format his internal storage to get a custom rom to flash. On the other hand if he is on eu MIUI he may already be de-crypted so he will have to flash DFE zip after flashing the rom in order for the rom to boot

If your data is encrypted you have to format data with "yes". All your internal memory will be erased.

Fix for OkGoogle Issue
1.Download Google Assistant from play store

2.Start Assistant app
3.Complete steps in assistant apk
4.Once done fire up assistant and speak with it. It should recognize your voice.
5.(Optional) click the compass icon on right corner of assistant app.
Now next steps
1. Go to the annoying finish your poco f1 setup notification in the notification panel.
2.Now when you reach OK Google step it will pass automatically.
Boom OK Google Fixed.

Battery life?

I like the ROM but something is wrong. I did a clean installation and installed your ROM with gapps, but the battery discharged very fast and the Smartphone heated up a lot to charge,So I thought it was Ethan's kernel problem, which you would expect from him lol but I changed the kernel and everything remains the same, I have already talked to other users and they are having the same problem.

1. First Important Step is to Backup (though depends on you if you wanna be safe or no )
2. Download Nusantara Project ROM
3. Do clean flash,
4. flashing steps:
- Reboot to recovery
- Wipe system, cache dalvik, data
- Flash the Nusantara Project ROM
- Flash patch_DFE
5. Flash any add-ons if you want to like Gapps (if Vanilla), Magisk, Etc.
6. Reboot & enjoy!

Ans. Its based on AOSP
2. Do we need to flash Gapps?
Ans. Yes Nusantara ROM does not come with prebuilt gapps.

Ans. There will be regular updates as and when the team is ready to push a new update. Kindly do not ask for ETAs.
4. I need this feature/ I found some bugs!
Ans. Firstly if u find any bug then please check with your add-ons like magisk module, zips, etc u flashed and whether its related or no. thanks for help us,but i can't active Volte on my phone，even change the sony modem switcher

i use it three days,its performance is very good，and i find some bugs.
Firstly,i can't use volte,can't registered the IMS service
Then,the hardware decode has some problems，i can't use it decode 4K HEVC videos，and the colors of HDR videos in MXplayer are badly,it seems like lost some colors.
Finally,the Android system webview is 32bit,i don't know if this is a problem.

兄弟帮帮忙，我是先刷这个包里面的rec，然后用adb sideload刷的ROM，刷进去了，再刷patch_DFE和Magisk就这样了，这个咋整，这个rec里面没见可以刷存储卡的选项啊

My problem was solved, I had to tap at the top of the screen

When I call, the other party can't hear my voice. I can only be heard when I turn on hands-free

I am having a similar issue. I have done clean install. Any solution for this?

Just installed it, great rom, a lot more stable then other Android 11/12 roms I've used!
Only thing I found that is a big let down is the camera app doesn't make full use of the camera, and is limited to 8mp.
Also the shutter button isn't functional either.
Otherwise a great rom, keep up the good work!!
