Cannot Find "Display Mode" Setting in a Thread - About xda-developers.com

Hello Everyone
I am considerably new to the forum. I encountered the Thread Display Options section in the General Forum Usage page when I was exploring the website.
The following was written there.
When you're in a thread, look at the top bar. On the right hand side you'll see 'Display Mode'. Click on this and it lets you change how posts are ordered.
Click to collapse
I am not able to find this option, though. Request you to assist me.

Hi,
that FAQ page appears to be a bit out of date. We'll need to have that updated.
You can find the thread display mode settings in your User Control Panel now. Specifically your Options page: https://forum.xda-developers.com/profile.php?do=editoptions

Yes, I have found those Thread Display Mode settings beforehand, @the_scotsman.
I just wanted to have a shortcut to them.
Figured the FAQ must be outdated.
Thank you for the confirmation!

Below is a search for CDMA Hero section . But it does not say how he did it
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=6387236&postcount=4
Any help is appreciated
1. Browse to the section you want to view.
2. Scroll down to the bottom where it says Display Options.
3. Change Sorted By to Last Post Time.
4. Click the Show Threads button.
The section will now display the newest posts in descending order.

May be I did not explain enough.
I have this method already enabled.
However what I want is to view just the newposts ( not the threads ) in the section.
Hope i am more clear

Click on your username and you can see it from the statistics part of the profile (or select Find all posts by user).
Also, if you go into your options and change the "Default Thread Subscription Mode" to "No e-mail notification" you can see them all listed in the

hi
i have a doubt how to view all threads
It's the exact same instructions as above. Click on your username (at the top of the page it will say 'welcome, xxxxx' or alternatively click on it on your post) then move from the 'about me' tab to the 'statistics' tab. Here you can see your posts, thanked posts and started threads.
In control panel and when click on your profil

List of all topics I contributed to?

I'm not a forum noob by any stretch but all others I've been on over the years have some way to display all the threads I posted in, and mark them bold if they have an update I haven't seen yet.
I have yet to find this on xda and it's getting old, even after only a few days, to go from forum to forum and check for updates to any threads I contributed to. What am I missing?
ETA: I'm looking for something like "display all subscribed topics" in a shortcut form somewhere. I really don't want to have to do this through advanced searches. It kills the entire intent of getting a quick overview of updates.
I found the issue. Apparently contributing to a thread doesn't add that thread to your subscribed threads list. This is a (pita, very unfortunate) manual step you have to do per thread if you want to keep up with the thread. I'm very surprised it has to be this way, but so be it.
If anyone knows of a way to change this on a per-user level please let me know.

Change your settings to auto-subscribe to every thread you post in. That way if you post in one that you don't want to track you can just choose to unsubscribe from it.
Go to your User Control Panel. Under 'Settings & Options' select 'Edit Options'. Then look for the "Default Thread Subscription Mode" setting - I recommend you set it to "No email notification"

Right. I noticed the app has it but it's harder to do in the forum lol
I got it folks. Thanks. The only thing I would wish for is a one-click shortcut to my subscribed threads. But I have bookmarks for that

If you want to view your subscribed threads and forums using the app then click the "Favorites" tab and you'll be able to view them.
Apologies if I misunderstood your problem.

If you want to see all of your participated threads in the browser view, go to the Advanced search, enter your username, make sure "Search All Open Forums" is selected under Search in Forums, leave everything else alone. Your results are displayed as threads in chronological order of last reply to that thread. The last reply of any member, not just you.

You can add a signature at the bottom of yours posts. For that, go to "Control Panel" on the top of the website, then on the left you will have some sections, go to "Edit Signature" under "SETTINGS & OPTIONS" and write all the informations you want. This signature will be automatically add under all your posts.

You have to have made a minimum of 8 posts before you can create a signature. See this thread among others.

[Q] FORUM QUESTION. Find my posts?

I did search, and nothing came up.
I checked the xda FAQ, but it seemed to be more about phones than actual forum questions..
So here goes, dont flame me if I didnt search enough, I did search.
Where is the option to see my posts? And then go to the thread and my last post in that thread to continue reading?
I searched Control Panel (which seems to be the only thing avaliable that pertains to my user) with magnifying glass.
Could not find.
I feel really stupid and sorry to ask such a noob question.
- Go to your own profile page (click on the user name in the upper right)
- Click the Statistics tab
- Click "find all posts by aliendna99"
Moved to About XDA section.
You can also go to the advanced search and then "Search by user name". It will then show your posts.

It would be good to have this as a direct link for example in 'Quick links' or near the username in the upper right (where 'Control Panel' and 'Log Out' are).
Yeah it could be great
And is it possible to have a "View my posts" link for having a follow up of threads where we participated without subscription. If an answer has been posted the thread is at the top of the list.
I'm on a french forum and this feature is very useful.
Thank you.

If you want to view all of your participated threads that way, you will need to use the Advanced Search, put your name in the User Name box, then make sure the Search in Forums selection is set to All Open Forums. Leave everything else on defaults. All your participated threads will be shown with the newest replied thread at the top.
Thank you,
