I just purchased the Google Pixel C, and I'd like to install a custom ROM
I do own the Pixel 2 xl, with custom ROM, twrp, root, custom kernel, etc, but for Google Pixel C, i don't know exactly the steps
Would anyone, please, help me?
I want to install the Resurrection Remix ROM
What do I have to do first?
Unlock the bootloader?

Hello, i m on a redmi note 5 with bootloader unlock ans with 9.5.19 version. My question is which rom custom Can i install without risking the brick. For example Can i install resurection remix ? And if it s ok what else i have to install ? Twrp magisk rom and gapps? In which order? Sorry for my Bad english, and thank you for answering me.
You can install any custom rom, including RR.
As for bricking, as long as you DON'T install any roms containing firmware version under 9.5.19 stable or 8.7.6 beta, you're gonna be fine.
You need TWRP (or RedWolf or OrangeFox), Magisk is for root and gapps is a must in any rom except Pixel Experience ones and MIUI (i guess?).
If you're new to this, go to this guide and follow from step C.

You only need to unlock the bootloader to install custom roms. Root is optional, tho is recommended. Most useful apps and features will require root. But if you're not into customizing that much, you don't need root.

I have succesfully unlocked my Redmi Note 5 Pro. I would like to install Pixel Experience. Anyone can post a link to an updated guide to installing TWRP and the rom? Are there multiple versions of TWRP? If so, can you suggest me which one should I use?
I'm on MIUI 10.0.4.0.

Hey, all! I am very new here, although I always use this forum as reference, including for my previous smartphones: Xpera Z3 Dual and Galaxy S3.
But now I have a Pixel 2 XL (taimen) with the latest stock ROM (February 9, 2019 Android 9 Pie). I want a Custom ROM with no Google apps included whatsoever, could somebody help me out and give some directions? I have spent hours trying to flash a CarbonROM with no success. I don't want root, I just don't want Google Apps. A few questions:
- Is unlocking the bootloader mandatory to flash any Custom ROM?
- If I am on Android 9 Pie and the custom ROM is based on 8 Oreo, is it mandatory to flash the Oreo factory image from Google? If so, can I do it by simply using the OTA sideloading? I couldn't flash with the fastboot script.
- Is TWRP mandatory in this case? Is root mandatory?
I am really thankful for this community and appreciate any help you can give me.

I have Mi max Hydrogen with bootloader unlocked. I have used stock miui for over 2 years and now I want to switch to Custom rom. So anybody can sugegst the best and stable custom rom available here? If not 100% stable, Please tell me the cons and provide the link here.
Also, if I don't like any rom, Can I switch it back to stock miui version with Android Nougat?
And, is this safe to use bank apps with custom firmwares?

you can try liquid remix,msm xtended or pixel experience, i am on liquid remix quite good and also you can flash custom kernals such as foe or weed,and yes you can switch to stock miui whenever you want

Look up unlocking bootloader on realme x , you'll need to install a app from realme to unlock,
