How to Global Stable move to china beta - Xiaomi Mi 6 Questions & Answers

Global Stable move to china beta
Unlock bootloadder or not
Thank you pro

Yes, you have to unlock Bootloader, go to en.miui.com/unlock/ and follow the guide. Tips: Try to apply this during Beijing timezone Business hour! You will get higher chance to be approved!
Then follow the tutorial here en.miui.com/a-234.html
Choose the correct package for your device and download it. After that, flash it with Mi Flash, which you can find it on the page.
Good luck!

1. install this: http://api.en.miui.com/url/MiFlashTool
2. download this: https://en.miui.com/download-354.html (Download Full ROM)
3. unpack tgz file so you see files with *.bin extension
4. enter fastboot mode (turn off the device, press the volume– key and the power button at the same time, then connect the device to the PC with a USB cable, you need correct drivers (probably included in MiFlashTool))
5. run MiFlash, pick correct folder where rom files are and press Refresh if you see your device and then press flash with clean all option selected (ofc it will delete all your data)
i think it work moreless as is described above, for more info use google or this link: http://en.miui.com/thread-960590-1-1.html (ignore that unlocking steps its for MIUI phones) and this http://en.miui.com/a-234.html

I have not tried to flash the mi a2 lite yet but when I have done it on the redmi note 4 you could flash it unlocked with a custom rom. If it was already locked and you were trying to flash the same version of the official firmware it would not flash, so my advice would be try flashing it locked and if that doesn't work unlock it and try again. The point being either locked or unlocked it will not brick your phone unless the flashing process is interrupted.

Yeah that's what I thought but it might be possible that it also works on Android One, the tool probably just runs the shell/bash scripts inside the ROM folder and I guess those are adjusted for every release (at least I hope so)

Not sure yet. Anyone with prior experience who has done this before?
Waiting tutorial flashing from CN to WW
So, who is going to be the brave soul to try flashing this to the Tencent model?
I just did it successfully. Google "payload_dumper-win64", download that WW firmware zip file, use payload dumper to extract the payload.bin, then flash every .img file with fastboot. I now have the DTS logo at boot and everything.
After flashing everything it brought me through somewhat of an out-of-box experience again, where I was able to sign in to google, and select either the ROG theme or "classic" (aosp) theme. I went with the classic one.

Only official firmware can be flashed without unlocking the bootloader.
WW->CN or CN->WW is also not permitted.
ASUS method of flashing OTA is placing the ZIP file in Root folder and rebooting the phone where the device will pick up the firmware for flashing.
Other than that, There should be a ASUS Command flasher somewhere (Like Odin for Samsung) which allows to flash official payload directly.
EDIT - Refer to this thread for updated information

Can you share a link?
(If you're not comfortable sharing it publicly) - Please PM Me.
Please look around also before you pay anything to them. It might just be a scam like FunkyHuawei where you can achieve the results on your own by just looking around a bit.
Just my two cents;
Don't help scammers ruin XDA.
We were a great community with a lot of knowledge sharing since the great HTC HD2 Days.

Your boot loader must be unlock. Follow the instruction to flash the Miui rom. If it does not boot up then do the following steps.
1) Extract the payload bin of the CN firmware to a directory
2) Extract the attached zip file to the same directory
3) Open this directory and click on cmd.bat then connect your phone to the PC in bootloader mode
4) Type red8 and press enter
5) Once the flashing is complete return to bootloader mode and flash the Miui rom. This time it should work.
