Currently i've tried, LineageOS, Resurrection Remix, and Crdroid, lineage is buggy as hell, Resurrection is my daily driver, i love it, cr droid seems faster than rr, but im not sure... can someone give me some facts, some ideas? benchmarks maybe? thanks in advance, and what rom are you using and why?

I'm on RR, from stock. So far on RR, I've ran into the following issues:
Video recorder doesn't work
Bluetooth constantly disconnects and you have to reboot to "fix"
I haven't been able to successfully use a lock screen pattern
Bluetooth call audio doesn't work
Security patches/updates aren't available anymore
Most importantly, the maintainer abandoned this ROM
Even with these issues, I really like RR but I'm searching for a something new as well.
AICP was recommended to me as a daily driver because I was told that it has as much configuration as RR, I just haven't had time to check it out yet but form what I see, it's unofficial and hasn't been updated since January: https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/development/rom-aicp-13-1-t3728368

Hi everybody,
I'm currently running official LineageOS 14.1 but the battery life isn't that good.
Has someone tried both Resurrection Remix and LineageOS to tell me the difference please ?
I mean I don't want to reinstall everything if it's not better
Thank you
You could try installing RR with dual boot patcher to see it yourself, it's not difficult at all and you can keep lineage untouched. Anyway I don't think RR has a great improvement on battery over lineage. Hope it helped
Hi there. I am on RR 5.8.3 actual. I'm very satisfied with the battery life of the phone. It's lives longer than on original LG Stock Rom. I've tried Imperium Rom too and liked it much but RR based now on 7.1.2 and Imperium just 6.0. So it's you're Decide. But you can't install Imperium with DualBootPatcher cause it comes with the Aroma Installer. That doesn't work with the Patcher.
As far as I can tell, there are no major differences in battery performances between the most common AOSP or CM derived android roms. It will mostly depends on the apps you install.
Thanks everyone
Hi people,
So few weeks ago I moved from LineageOS to Resurrection Remix, but the thing is this is an unofficial build and the LineageOS one is official. The Resurrection Remix ROM is not updated anymore for my device. Should I go back to an official Lineage image, which gets updates frequently? I am running a quite outdated version of resurrection remix right now.
I do love Resurrecction Remix as it has more customizability than LineageOS. But thing is I care about security too.

I think you are on the safe side when using Resurrection Remix together with self-updating Gapps. Google will continuously scan your phone.
When you care about privacy as much as about security you should have a look at https://lineage.microg.org/
I've been running Lineage os 14.1 for a while and I want to change rom and upgrade to oreo, so which is the best 8.x rom so far?

Depends on what your looking for. The best way to find out is try it for yourself. There is no "one size fits all" when it comes to roms. If you want simplicity and perhaps stability, stay on LOS. Personally LOS lacks certain customizations I really prefer not to give up. I ran crDroid on my Galaxy S4 and found it to my liking more then other roms. Personally I felt like it had the best kernel development of an Los based roms for that device. Since jumping back to an LG G3 I stuck with crDroid because I find the performance great, stability is great, and it has the feature set I like the most. Plus firebird was the maintainer of crDroid for my S4 variant) That said RR(Resurrection Remix) is amazing as well. For that matter all the major roms are great. You really can't go wrong.

I am gonna ask a few dev to support the AEX 5.7 Treble and future version.
The rom is well optimized whit extended dark theme engine.
Fast smoot whit no bugs.
We already have the LOS 15.1 and the RR OREO.
But AOSP is wat better then LOS base roms.
My last phone was Xaiomi Redmi Note 4 and i use AEX 5.7 on him whit gcam.
The phone was purfect.
The only thing the phone is missing was the amoled screen.
So i will ask nicly the devs @rahulsnair, @davidsonsjesus and more attention to @dlproject because he support already two roms.
I am asking nicly.
To see that this great rom have only 4 custom roms is little sad.
Thank you devs.

Let me understand, do you want AEX on your device? Do you have a Moto Z2 Play?
I already build some versions of AEX, but I stopped for not having time to maintain 3 roms (ToxycOS, Resurrection Remix, and AEX). Btw, I think it's even unnecessary.
Why do you ask for treble? Do you even know what's its purpose?
Perhaps if one genuinely wants something, they might figure out themself. If you want it really, really bad enough

what is the best GSIs rom for mi max 3
thanks
For me,pixel experience is very fast and smooth.
Pick one: AOSiP, Descendant, PixelExperience or AOSP.
There's more but those are some reliable go-tos.
In my opinion, AOSiP and DotOS are the best. Very stable and with some customizations.
Doto OS, Ressurection Remix and Havoc OS
Dot OS has stopped GSI dev 6 months ago, since then theyve added way more features and gotten even better
Havoc also stopped GSi 6 months ago. i donated to them and begged em to try gsi or our phone . No luck
Ressurection remix is still putting out GSIs as of February, though their february build wouldnt boot on 2 of my phones
I have a 6gb/128gb blue mimax3. None of the gsis have booted successfully n my phone

I'm using DotOS on 10/03, Nfound version and it's great. The pixel experience only runs the versions until December and havoc has even stopped developing GSI. As for the issue of booting the device, it depends on which vendor GSI needs: pie or oreo. Look here - https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-max-3/how-to/guide-how-to-boot-pie-gsis-fix-issues-t3895860 and here https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-max-3/how-to/guide-beginners-guide-to-gsi-aosp-rom-t3910085 to see an idea.

Thanks alot Germano,
i was in despair before you answered.
2 questions please--
Where did you find the DotOS Nfound version?
Could you please post a link?
Most important, When youre installing a GSI, first you install a Xiaomi.eu Rom,
Do you reboot and set up the Xiaomi.eu rom first, and then you factory reset.?
Or do you just install in recovery and factory reset immediately in recovery?

1- The ROM you can find here: https://androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=291210;
2 - I installed Xiaomi.eu 9.3.14 and then DotOS following this guide here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-max-3/how-to/guide-beginners-guide-to-gsi-aosp-rom-t3910085 - do exactly as described and everything will work out;
3- When Xiaomi.eu starts, it asks to log into the Mi account. I login only and then restart TWRP to install GSI.
I hope it helps you.
Thanks, Germano bro,
Im on AOSIP (02-17 version, cos latest version hasnt booted), and im going to try POSP tomorrow.
Dotos was fun and the best one that successfully booted, but im trying to get a GSI that has fonts. Im still delighted to have The DotOS as an option. I didnt have any idea it existed.
Cheers!!:good:

You're welcome. DotOS and AOSiP are very similar in terms of functionality and stability. But I can only boot DotOS using xiaomi.eu 9.3.14 as a base. The roms that have "vanilla" in the name boot normally using the rom 9.3.14 (except those that need the oreo vendor).
