Do you know if it works as real recovery? I'm going to try, but I just wasted my 'max number of downloads for this hour', (1), and it didn't download right, so I guess I'll be waiting...

Z1c: It boots up as real recovery, but still no external sdcard (I'm running 5.1 RR) and some weird 'uto' mount option (maybe otg?). Reverted back to stable 2.8.7..

Hi there,
After a long time of being absent, i present you: AOSP Android 8.0 for the Sony Xperia XZ Premium.
This is build with help of the Sony sources (with a lot of tweaks to get it working)
Remember: some features are not working yet.

Recovery: TWRP is avaible on the forum, you can flash it.
No flashable zip yet, something is wrong with this.
I will check the links for the images!

Try flash rom Dev and flash twrp and follow steps and u go to twrp

Oreo burns the screen, I recommend DON'T FLASH IT until further notice!

Reporting : Brightness est messed up ! Anything over 10% is in fact full brightness.

ROM boot correct and all working, autobrightness is messed up but other things work done..

How to check the relevance of your Vendor?
Open the file /vendor/build.prop (use any file explorer with ROOT rights) and look at the line ro.vendor.build.date = (date and time in English), if your Vendor is old (your vendor is realesed in 9.1.17 but ROM needs 9.3.11, etc) it most likely needs to be updated before installing new ROM, the newer the vendor you put - the better, but it is recommended to install the version of vendor which is specified in the post with the ROM, since some new versions of vendor can be not compatible!
Encrypting the release date of the Vendor on the example of 8.12.20 - 8 is year of release (2018), 12 - month (December), 20 - date.
Instalation/updating:
Warning, if you going from miui to custum ROMs you need to do full wipe your device before installing any custom ROMs because it doesn't work properly with miui encryption.
If your ROM have prebuild vendor DONT FLASH any other vendor or you will get bootloop or not boot at all.
If you installing new rom download last version of rom and vendor -> first update vendor + fw than flash downloaded rom and than flash disable dm-verity or if you want to encrypt your phone flash Magisk 19 after vendor + rom instalation and dont flash disable dm-verity.
If you just updating vendor -> just intall new and don`t forget to flash disable dm-verity or if your phone has enrypted data flash only Magisk 19 after vendor updation (you need to flash it every time after vendor update).
If you have F2FS file system dont forget to mount /vendor in twrp and install FSTAB-EXT4_F2FS-Dipper after vendor updation

No. You can boot without dmverity. Comin from MIUI you must just format data by typing yes. That's it

Yeah! Kind of unpredictable behavior with DM-verity. Sometimes LOS and Havoc would boot without it and sometimes not.
P3R rom definitely needs it

Yes, just remember to flash vbmeta immediately after you flash the magisk otherwise it will show recovery destroyed error

You would be okay with los vbmeta or any vbmeta for that sake. Just use the flags before flashing. I added FAQs in the original post just now.

Seems like there's issues with vbmeta. Use the vbmeta that's pinned on the wiki

Please refer the wiki. You should unlock on pie itself. That way you have unlocked bootloader on 10.

Why there is no 10 based custom roms for xt? Can't devs can port custom roms of realme x to xt atleast? The fingerprint issues are already solved, right?

A week back we didn't have a wiki page, a backup of the stock recovery, a stable twrp. It's only been a week now since these work were done. On top of it, realme is not very proactive with the kernel sources. But its only a matter of time since we bring up lineage 17.1 or pixel experience. We are working on it.

Backup taken via TWRP failed fr system image..this happens for both stock rom and custom rms too..has anyone taken successful backup

I get following error when flashed stock rom of Color OS ior RUI in TWRP
failed to mount /dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/userdata at /data

No u need to unlock your boorloader 1st kindly reas it. It doesnt work in realme ui

My twrp realme xt back to stock recovery...how to solve it?

Yes you can flash even on the yet to be released C.04
