Do you plan on supporting the dual sim G8142?
Voice record volume is super low on this rom. Its impossible to send voice messages via whatsapp. Fingerprint is also not working.
Is the Extended Settings - Dynamic Resolution Switch working on this? Last I heard @kholk was putting the finishing touches on it for AOSP 8.1.

That should be easy fixable by setting the right Fluence Audio Configs. I've seen this and many other Issues related to Fluence in the past. I just ordered a XZ Premium so i can't test it yet, but if You want to give it a try just take a look on My Signature and Flash the Snappatch which includes Fluence Configs based on the Mic Positions on the Device. 50-50 that it fixes the Issue without further changes for the XZ Premium.
Don't want to advertise myself, if the OP is interested on fixing this can You just PM Me! I'll guide You to the Fix without the need of My Patch...

Thanks for trying and letting Me know! My XZ Premium is on the Way now and should be in My Hands till this Weekend. I will check it out by Myself, and i'm also planning to Support the Xperia Family with My Work again. Not sure what it will be (Stock based ROM, AOSP ROM, or a continued Snappatch), but i will at least contribute the Fix for the Mics. BtW. Is this Bug only present on this AOSP ROM or on all others too?
BR
AOSP only. I can just tell you never unlock your bootloader. It only brings trouble... Sony DRM and all that bull****!
It seems the latest 8.1 AOSP is supporting the Dynamic Resolution switch to support true 4K in the Extended Settings.
The last post on the bug issue says, "It will work on :Loire (suzu), tone (all), Yoshino (all)" https://github.com/sonyxperiadev/bug_tracker/issues/94
Is this using the latest, and does the Dynamic Resolution Switch work?
Recovery working? for me just stuck on Sony screen... Other than that rom is working good
can you give some screenshots pls?
About to try this Out... Any Problems by installing GApps over the included Ones? Like Different Folder Locations or Things like that!?

You can just keep TWRP, the AOSP Recovery is a lil extra for flashing Updates but it wont allow You to do much else.

Screenshots from what? It's AOSP, not a Custom ROM. No fancy Options or Things like that...
The best Way is just trying it out. You can't Capture Performance, Quality or Smoothness of a OS in a Picture...

Thanks @Miustone up and running the your latest upload.. after reading your comment about, Not placing those files in a folder, I already flash your snap.... Is there much difference I would notice
Can't get into recovery after flashing this. By the way I didn't flash the recovery in the zip, I stuck with TWRP, but it's not getting past the splash screen. I'm using 3.2.1-0, I was using 3.2.0-0 with the same issue.
Liking AOSP on this phone so far. Untouched camera isn't even as bad as I was expecting, save for some autofocus issues.

Sorry for "silly" questions, but I just unlocked my BL a few hours ago and don't know Sony's well...
- Can I get SuperSU or SuperUser installed ?
- Is there a recovery I can get into to install SuperSU ? I'm trying Volume Up and Down at power on, but maybe I don't have the timing right ? adb reboot recovery doesn't work.
Thanks !

You'd have to "root" the phone, the process would install the required privileges that you need to install recoveries.
Head to the General section, pinned in the section are some wonderful guides to get you going.

Forgive the question; my Z1 has the bootloader locked and it appears to be "unlockeable"
Can I still install FXP AOSP on my Z1?
I understand unlock-able Z1 are stuck with their kernel because I can't overwrite it; and there's mention of a kernel compiled in july.

Thanks again Ashwin , I was very disappointed to see the previous thread's proceedings. Besides I made a feature request in the previous thread. Did you have time to check it out ? is the move to sd card feature natively supported in CM? and does it actually send the app to externa sd card (i.e. sdcard1) ?

I'm unlocking this thread. Some communication issues have taken place between the OP and the FXP. Hopefully everything is sorted now and this thread will serve its purpose.
Please keep it nice and clean.
Thank you.

Very fast and smooth compared to the stock sony.
Tested the ART and also functioned normally.

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. You will need to provide your own Google Applications package (gapps). LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit our Gerrit Code Review. Your changelog is whatever was merged into gerrit.
Instructions
First time flashing LineageOS 14.1 on your device, or coming from another ROM?
Unlock Bootloader!
Download the zip(s).
Install Appropriate FW base (STOCK MM 4.21.40.xx base is required) simple FW update package is available at my download link
Install a compatible Recovery
Perform a NANDroid backup of your current ROM (Optional)
Wipe data & cache partitions of your device (required when coming from stock!).

Broken Features / Known Issues
VIDEO ENCODER/DECODER ISSUES: This results in green lines on videos/pictures taken using the Intel HW encoder/decoder and other playback issues dependent on video formats. See the list below:
[*] Snapchat: thin greeen line tends to appear on recorded videos for snapchat
Asus Pixelmaster Camera App: Super resolution mode does not work. Turning off "Optimizations" from settings clears up any green line issues.
Some video formats do not play as expected
FM Radio is unsupported.
sim 2 cannot be disabled (this is true for all CM builds on non qualcomm hardware)
Other than Fugu (Nexus Player TV box) there are no Vendor released M x86/x86_64 builds in existance. You may experience some issues with GAPPS and some known apps not loading or working correctly. Below is a list of KNOWN apps that do not currently run on CM13 based x86 Zenfone 2 builds :
Polaris Office, Chase Mobile, Showbox...
[*] Screen recording not working Works now.
Chromecast screen mirroring not working, native casting works though.
[*] factory reset from setting menu has been reported to cause recovery boot loops. Works now.
CM14 (not device specific issues)
No CMTE yet
CM file manager has trouble accessing external sdcard

DATA MIGRATION BUILDS
"THESE BUILDS WILL TAKE A LONG TIME (~30 mins) TO BOOT"
LineageOS has moved to private key signed builds. This is something that typically requires a full data wipe to transition too. To ease this burden for users who are not accustomed to that , the initial release builds are designed "MIGRATION" to help users who do not want to clean flash from an existing CM/Lineage build. Use the data migration builds as a one time "Flash this first, and then the officials" to migrate to private key signed builds. Follow the below instructions using the admiration builds to preserve app data if so desired, Otherwise feel free to clean flash directly to the weekly release builds
Official CM-13.0 -> CM14.1 Upgrade Guide
As seen with my previous unofficial CM-13.0 builds based on the MM Stock roms, An upgrade to the MM Firmware and bootloader is required going forward.
This guide is here to assist.
1) Download ROM and 7.1 GAPPS
2) Download my Firmware Update package for Z00A or Z008 . FASTBOOT AND ADB ARE REQUIRED!
3) Follow the included instructions to update Firmware and flash the new compatible TWRP. If for some reason the new TWRP is not flashed automatically flash it manually via fastboot. "fastboot flash recovery recoverimagename.img
4) Reboot to recovery and flash CM 14 and Gapps, reboot and enjoy. Data Wipe on upgrade is not required
CM 14.1 from Stock MM
1) Unlock Bootloader
2) Flash compatible TWRP
3) Perform desired backups
4) From recovery, factory reset & install ROM & 7.1 GAPPS
5) Enjoy!
CM 14.1 from CM13 Mm based beta builds
1) Reboot to TWRP( should already have good version)
2) Flash CM14.1 and 7.1 GAPPS
3) Reboot and enjoy!!
Reserve !

Broken Features / Known Issues
VIDEO ENCODER/DECODER ISSUES: This results in green lines on videos/pictures taken using the Intel HW encoder/decoder and other playback issues dependent on video formats. See the list below:
Snapchat: thin greeen line tends to appear on recorded videos for snapchat
Asus Pixelmaster Camera App: Super resolution mode does not work. Turning off "Optimizations" from settings clears up any green line issues.
Some video formats do not play as expected
FM Radio is unsupported.
audio is a little weird in Real Racing 3.
sim 2 cannot be disabled (this is true for all CM builds on non qualcomm hardware)
DRM content is currently broken
Live Display (color calibration) not working yet
Screen recording not working
Chromecast screen mirroring not working, native casting works though.
factory reset from setting menu has been reported to cause recovery boot loops.
Battery life is horrible, numerous display wakelock issues
CM14 (not device specific issues)
No CMTE yet
Status bar icon changing broken
CM file manager has trouble accessing external sdcard
Battery profile is non functional/string errors

The builds are signed, its your twrp that's not signed with the same private key(and never will be) that keeps you from using that sig verification.

Is the battery life really horrible? Is it worse than the MM blobs CM 13? Anyways, thanks for continuing to develop this great ROM.
How can I enable also G-Assistant and G-Now on LinOS

No, it's actually been much better recently. I cleaned up a couple of the issues that were causing inconsistent wakelock issues a week or so ago.

Can confirm, I noticed my battery get much better recently before realizing you had updated that. I still have an issue with losing fast/quick charge, but I haven't seen others mention this so it's likely an issue on my end.
New nightly rom is amazing.... Thanks a lot guys @jrior001

No you can't do it with twrp... You need adb(comp) and unrooting is not necessary... Uninstalling xposed is also not necessary... It won't work in nougat.. It'll just be there
Can i use SuperSU instead of the official root?
Wow , I know I've just done a clean install of the nightly ....but , is it just me or is this a lot faster , more fluent browsing the web pages than anything built in the past ? Or am I slightly delirious thru watching all that blue building up coff ?
Hats off to the new age lineage and the master dev
Just moved to the official branch. Migration tool worked perfectly, and SU optional package did its job as well.
The whole process was absolutely painless, so let's enjoy OTA updates from now on!
sudamod is based on the secondary development of the system, they are committed to creating a pure Android localization system

Screenshot tab in op, (see attachment)...
@maz-1 I see kernel 3.1. So far only 3.4 kernel builds have had good working camera. Is the camera good? (don't have my Z1c until after the weekend, so can't check). Also, could this kernel work with AOSP? @davidteri91 has built very nice AOSP rom, but with old kernel and bad camera. Hoping for a fix, (I don't think he's interested).
Thanks for new rom...

Camera is pretty good, no lag at all, focus works well.
Any feedback on this rom? I can't test for a couple of days...
Testing now, and love it. Reminds me of the good ol' CM days...

Just tried it myself: NFC is working!!! I think I'm gonna love this ROM.
FYI: I installed "NFC Tools" app and did read 2 cards with NFC chips inside. They were read OK. I didn't do an actual payment with NFC. Yet.
Also used "NFC check" app. These results are:
NFC check results:
3 pass, 2 fails.
NFC is activated: pass
Android Beam is activated: pass
Hosted Card Emulation is not supported: so a fail
Mifare Classic and Mifare Ultralight cards not supported: so a fail
Android Application Record is supported: pass.
When I install a 5.1.1 ROM, all test are passed.
So I guess the NFC is not working completely yet.
Does it seem OK for daily use? Does Xperia Loops live wallpaper work?

Rom is good for daily use, as far as anyone can tell so far. Report if you find otherwise.
As for Loops, it will never work on this phone - https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=71375427&postcount=26 - unless someone develops some mock version of it, or something...

@maz-1 - any updates planned for Sudamod?
Required: Unlocked bootloader?
Does anybody have battery drai nissues with this update?

Does anybody have battery drain issues with this update?
I cannot get this ROM booting. Boot animation shows partly but then nothing.
I have unlocked bootloader, flashed latest stock firmware with Emma. Also flashed twrp 3.0.2 as real recovery. I can boot to twrp with power+vol down.
Same problem with several other Nougat ROMs for Z1C. Only ROM so far working is LOS 14 by munjeni.
