I'm getting a ding on every music track. Play, skip forward or back, when the next song starts the music fades and I get *ding ding*. DND cancels out the dings. So its tied to notifications somehow. I just cant find it to turn it off. What can I do to fix this, before I factory reset.

Just earlier I noticed that my ringtones don't play. It wasn't vibrating aswell unless it was on the vibrate mode.
Now it seems to vibrate aswell normally.
But i'm still left with the problem where on an incoming call the ringtone doesn't play.
In "sounds and notifications" on the incoming call option when I press play nothing happens with whichever ringtone I select. However on other alerts its fine.
[EDIT] I've just realised that I can't change any option in Sounds and Notifications. Even when I press the OK button it loads but it doesn't close and no alerts or any notification changes. However I've tested some notifications just to see if the play button actually plays the tone that is selected and it does play but on incoming call alert I can't get anything to play. Either way whatever I change in SOUNDS AND NOTIFICATIONS I can't save it and I cant close it.
Very wierd....Any ideas..?
AND YES...I've soft reseted and tried.
AND NO.....I am not willing to reflash as Ive just got it setup the way I want and installed everything nicely and want to leave it the way it is.. AND Fix_WM6_Sounds.CAB doesn't fix it
Is there a separate setting where I can turn only the notification to vibrate while leaving the phone ringtone on? I receive emails at middle of the night and it always wakes me up. At the same time, I do want incoming calls to wake me up.
Another issue. when I previously switched the phone from vibrate to sound in the notification drawer, it would make a beep noise. But today it doesn't make that sound anymore. Did i disable something somewhere?
Get Silent Time Lite on the market. Allows you to set times to quiet the phone but allow exceptions for the phone. So you can set it to ring for only contacts you highlight.
No idea about your second issue.

Click to collapse
Settings > Sounds > Volume > System.
Maybe you put the system sounds volume down?? Hope this helps
I have put the system volume all the way up. The sound came back the day before, and I cannot get it to play again last night after I turned it from vibrate to ring.
Mine did that for a little while too. Fixed itself eventually.
Hey everyone, quick question. I recently starting using Pandora and notice that when Im listening to Pandora and get a text message or email, the music pauses for a few seconds to let the notification sound. Is there a way to not let this happen? Thanks
Pandora has always been like that. As are most apps, they lower the volume to allow the notification tone go through and than jump back to full volume. I don't think there's a way to change that. Just be glad your Pandora doesn't auto change songs every 45s after a 'taste' of every song because the update has an issue with a rom.
just turn down notifications sounds to vibrate or silent, no interruptions
I'm running CM10 on a HTC One X and I'm wondering if there is any workaround to the android notifications annoyance. When music is playing, the notification will not play over the top of the music, nor dim the volume, but it will mute the music until the notification is over. This means that you miss parts of a song or a podcast if you get a message.
I know certain apps can bypass this. For instance, Whatsapp notifications play over the top of music without interrupting it. Is there any global workaround?
the only way i found is by putting profile to vibrate or silent during music...
Alright, so I changed my reminder tone to something longer (a 3 minute mp3). Now every time I have a reminder and I stop it by sliding the red x, the screen normalizes but the music keeps playing in the background. Only way to stop the music is to restart the phone or mute it for 3 minutes.
How do I fix this? It's pretty bad when this happens during a meeting etc. and I can't stop it quickly.
