Separate ringer and notification volume on oreo - OnePlus 3 Questions & Answers

Is there any app/mod which will unlink notification and ringer volume allowing to set the volume separately? I have a custom rom, rooted.

Most ROMs have this option already in settings, like this:

"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_share": "Share",

"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}

Which one are you using?

I use freedomOS. it does not have this feature and I don't want to change ROM because of this. I believe there must some other solution. Applications or flashable zip, xposed or magisk module.?

OK, try this Xposed module then:
Ringer & Notification Volume Unlink 1.60
Should be right what you're looking for.

Thank you, but I just learned, that xposed breaks safetynet pass and I cannot use Google pay. Is there any other solution without xposed?

Yeah, Xposed breaks SafetyNet ...
There are apps that apparently can do this, but they complicate stuff slightly. Here's a link to a guide, app is linked inside: https://www.guidingtech.com/separate-ringtone-notification-volume-android

One option is to use Xposed framework and the Gravitybox module.

It has but it does not work. I set it up black, even restart, and NavBar still transparent. Useless app.

Of course, I already had Xposed installed, as I need it for Greenify, so Gravity is useless. Does not even hide status bar.

Well that's great, I wish it could work on my phone too, but it doesn't. In your home screen Music and AirDroid are upside down.
I did it also for my girlfriend phone with gravitybox. I don't have it now but you have to enable the navigation bar in the options and reboot to be able to change color. Its like substituting the original navbar with gravitiybox navbar, however its the same.

Ho do I boot into recovery(TWRP) witout adb or hard buttons??

Ok, rooted with twrp installed. Does anyone have info on booting into recovery without adb or the finger gymnastics for buttons?

You could use the G3 TweakBox for Xposed and it has the option to enable an advanced reboot menu

Nope. It will be awesome when Xposed gets updated for ART, but who knows when that will happen. I like the smoothness of ART, but I like my Xposed modules even more. It just depends on your priorities.

Or you can turn off your phone and turn it on then right when the lg logo comes up hold the volume down and power button together until it asks if you want to factory reset. Press yes each time and it'll boot into twrp. It sounds complicated but it's not that bad haha. Also it won't factory reset in twrp unless you specifically wipe it in twrp. I actually read that in another thread but can't remember which

Go to THIS link then go to the download page and grab the Stock SystemUI + Framework with minor mods – DOWNLOAD and install it. Then go into System UI Tuner in settings.
Unfortunately, I can't find it again, but one of the OTAs had a tool built in to do this in the UI Tweaker. It might have been the "V" version but I haven't been able to get it again.

OK. Can you or anyone help me get on the next step?
The phone is rooted, but under such strict terms with the supported Oneclickroot, featured on XDA and no...nothing.
I don't know what to do next. My tech abilities are not as they used to be.
What next? Link?

First you need to unroot it, you can do that from settings screen in supersu.
Then magisk installation is simple: flash magisk zip in twrp.

That's what I'm looking for. But if I unroot, will I be able to do magisk.apk to install directly on the phone, or do I need to learn more about it using a PC to root it again..sorry for the trouble.

It is flashing the systemuigoogle.apk. Are you completely stock?
Edit:. Also, are you on magisk 16.3 or higher? I just flashed this on my Pixel and it works fine.
Appreciate the effort though dude I hate that tint

I don't know why some people have problems and some don't on Magisk. My suggestion is to remove Magisk, reroot, use regular one to get where you want to be, then install Magisk manager.
