This is LineageOS for Athene. Mostly written by Nikit and rajatgupta1998, but I (Hackintosh5) am trying to help out, as well as producing builds many evenings (UTC)
Currently I'm working on the SEPolicy, so send in your
Code:
adb logcat -b all -d
and stuff will work sooner!
When SEPolicy is working reliably, I'll try to push it to TeamButter's Gerrit. SELinux is a requirement for official LineageOS, although I have got an update server going (and running by default since 20180324)
Message to everyone:
Please don't spam and if you encounter an issue send a logcat with the above command
Bugs:
No DTV (give me logs for this)
No Video Recording (Lineage team will fix this, just wait)

20 March: Repo sync, Llama LOS API, SEStuff - See #61

27 March: Not much.
Next Build: Masses of stuff stolen from Omni ( ) like SEPolicy, BT Calling and Flashlight. See my github for all changes.

Thanks you so much !!! Please try to fix battery drain due to network.

Wait nightly? Does that mean it's going official?

No, please read the explanation in op.

Also @corlatemanuel has a build finished where he did fix substratum and the rest is the same as @Nikit as he said. So I will be testing from today (tomorrow max). Will giving logs from there be of any help to you?

Well, I managed to fix Chop-Chop too, right now I'm trying to get full rootless OMS support like on Bootleggers or Atomic OS but I'm getting errors when building. At least the problems caused by the March security patch were reverted and Substratum can be used without rebooting your device 100 times.
Is Protected Apps working on these builds? It's crashing on my builds.

The download link is not working

@hackintosh5 since your link was not working i took my time to give logs out of BOTH @Nikit and @corlatemanuel version. i have not flashed even gapps and magisk so i believe it is directly related to rom. i hope i was helpful!!

It's related to the Lineage OS 15.1 source for sure, as the problem is encountered in RR 6.0.0 too. Maybe we'll get a fix.

@corlatemanuel I couldn't find your builds? What patches did you apply to fix the flashlight+chopchop?

I know it's bad practice, but I have tested and you can dirty flash from Nikit's builds... (this means no need to wipe data; but still wipe system before flash.)

OK, I'm making a new build now with patches that should enable the GPU device to be recognised on Enforce. If anyone here knows anything about SELinux in BoardConfig.mk, speak now (Anything at all, I'm Googling right now!)
The build will probably fail, but subsequent build should take <30mins as I have enabled CCACHE on this build. If all goes well, there will be another link in #2 by midnight (UTC)

Is anyone experiencing an issue where it takes around 2 seconds for the screen to come on after standby mode? Or is it just me and my dirty flash?

But is it 32 or 64-bits?

So it looks like you and Pandasa123 are both working on CM12 builds. Will these two be merged, or will they be separate?
Thanks for the build. I flashed it and so far it seems great for a beta. The only issue I'm having other than the camera is lte is iffy, sometimes it works but most of the time it won't. It was the same for other LP builds. I'm on the NE4 bootloader if it matters, if you want a logcat let me know and I'll try to grab one.
Thanks again for making a build for our phone.
Guys I hope the GPS icon will be playing good with this release.

Flashed with no problems on my T999L. Beside the camera the only problem I see is the clock is showing GMT time instead of PST for me. I did check the settings. Seems like a great start.

Hope the last build was strong.
OP updated with today's build 12/11. Enjoy!!
I will be posting updated builds frequently when I notice updates from CM
Edit 1: Sorry I have put the old 12/10 build link in the OP. Updating the link

* You must read this post completely
* You must have flashed a stock MM update to update the firmware to a version that is compatible with these builds. Search XDA for the best way to do so for your device.
Vanir Features:
- We are a caf based ROM that shares many features with LineageOs
- However, unlike LINEAGE, we own features, optimisations, performance enchantments, scripts, and butter
- We also remove all tracking found in AOSP, google, and LINEAGE sources
You will get BUILDS FROM Two Developers : One is @NUCLEAR MISTAKE and @DHO
This Thread Will be updated with @DHO builds.
Please Keep in my mind @DHO always add things which are best and useful. Vanir don't add just any RANDOM Features from any ROM

We Just don't support any RANDOM features. ALL BUILDS ARE CREATED FOR stability. This ROM is for those who want the best stability. ROOTED WITH MAGISK INBUILT
A word about the OREO updates: Still the oreo is in its infancies. As far as we are concerned we dependent on linageos for the trees. So before giving you any new build. As Vanir always stands for
Best experience, we will make sure that the linageos is well settled. Only after that, the real magic will start. Giving and talking about Oreo builds will not yield anything.

Hey, congratulations for the build! I'll make sure to try it too when I have the time to do so, but right now I've just finished setting up RR Oreo on my device. I had flashed the Stock ROM a few times, and my Data partition remained the same way as it was when I had bought the phone: EXT4. But, for some reason, I flashed the Stock ROM few weeks ago and decided to switch back to my RR 5.8.5 backup only to find that my Data partition had been formatted to F2FS! And RR Oreo would only boot with F2FS for the Data partition for some reason...
And here comes another problem! There are many Oreo ROMs that bootloop on F2FS and not on EXT4! Could you please check if your Data partition is EXT4 or F2FS? It's possible to do so from TWRP.

The data partition is supposed to be F2FS, even on stock Moto ROM's for most every device. If you're seeing bootloops on other ROM's due to the data partition needing to be formatted to EXT4, then I'd say those ROM's have an issue that needs resolving unfortunately

hi bro , please could you tell me if this rom i suitable for daily use ?? how is the rom so far ?? thank you
I tested it for almost two days, I think. Frankly, I prefer the other LOS15.1 out there. To me, this one was more laggy, but I don't know if it will be the same to you. Only the two LOS rom made LTE work for me and the only bug I found in both was frontal flash. Still, I think both are great, but I stick to the other one

Regarding LED notificattion issue, it seems that in some unofficial builds have already found the solution thanks to @dar2q
dar2q said:
if you use the commit from hxxps://review.lineageos.org/c/LineageOS/android_device_oppo_msm8939-common/+/234947 even though it is for another model, the LED starts working with SELinux still set to enforcing (sorry but i cant post links yet)

@KiD3991 and @Tomoms for the LEDs to fully work (aka pulsing) you need to allow it in the sepolicy/file_contexts file:
Code:
/sys/devices/[a-z0-9]+\.i2c/i2c-[0-9]/[0-9]-[a-z0-9]+/grpfreq u:1object_r:sysfs_leds:s0
/sys/devices/[a-z0-9]+\.i2c/i2c-[0-9]/[0-9]-[a-z0-9]+/grppwm u:1object_r:sysfs_leds:s0
remove 1 at u:1object

I really don't know if it will be related to, but I tell you it just in case it can be useful.

What exactly does "Issue with play store and our device fingerprint" consist of what I can or can not do? that is, the store works but it is possible that it will not let me install any app?
Click to collapse
It means that Play Store provides us with obsolete versions of some applications (such as Instagram or Facebook). The simplest solution is to download them from sites like apkmirror, that's all.
I have a problem with adb sideload. I made Format Data and when I try to flash Pie by adb sideload on TWRP says "you need adb 1.0.34 or newer". How can I proceed?

Someone have issue with camera? Freeze...
Because of the new thread devoted to lineageos 16 I will repeat the description of issues with the first LOS16 relase:
- NFC is not working (GPay), phone can receive NFS tags but cannot send it,
- camera app crashes, it has no permission to device camera,
- led notificatiins are not working.
Upgrade according to LOS developers recommendations: from last LOS15.1 flash in trwp, ROM and gapps pico.
Hardware Buttons
Hi, not sure if you're aware of this already but hardware buttons don't seem to turn off after nav bar is toggled. Can anyone else confirm this? I've dirty flashed over 15 so maybe that's why but I'm not sure. By the way, thanks for supporting our device even longer. Props to the lineage team! :good:
Just wanted to ask if SELinux is enforcing or permissive on this build? Thanks once more![/QUOTE]

Official builds always enforce SELinux.

thanks
the problem maybe detecting in what applications that happens, maybe you are not aware of it
Is it possible that this is the cause of this too?
https://www.reddit.com/r/Android/comments/a19cl3/google_play_silently_updating_some_apps_even_when/
(Maybe it has nothing to do ... but I've noticed)
maybe I should wait a bit longer to install the rom being the main mobile.
I hope that the first battery data (drainage) .. is provided by the people who have it installed:silly:
Good

Yes, you have to detect which applications aren't updated and solve it by yourself.
The link you are reffering I don't think is related. The problem here is the device fingerprint (or certification) that is too old (from the last CyanogenOS build from 2016).

What about getting a current adb? Mine is 1.0.40 (and i guess not really current, binary is from Mai 2018).
Your device tells you :"use adb 1.0.34 or never" ... what is unclear with this?
Cheers
Kurt
P.S.: ... next to come will be the question : "but where can i get it" ... i did the googling for you : Android Platform-Tools

Thank you again
I imagined that it had no relationship, and this I have begun to notice not long ago .. but I do not know ... it will be a mistake in the store .. I hope it is not something with intention

There is no "best" firmware, it all depends on you and where you live. For most of the people best is c6-00241
P.S for me camera works fine and yeah LED doesn't work, but it doesn't bother me

I always go safely when upgrading major android versions. I do clean flash because I don't like doing dirty and it helps avoid me some problems
