I've never seen that happen. Can you replicate this issue every time? Like if you made an even today, 11 minutes from now with a 10 minute notification, will you get the error in a minute? Take a screenshot too.
Yes always.

Oh and now my "Another Widget" (What I use with Nova Launcher for the agenda) on my home screen says "Event not found". Pretty sure I tapped an event fine on Friday.
Edit: for whatever reason, my test even was actually delete so that's why my widget was getting "Event not found".

One more update:
It does appear to only happen on the lock screen

Yeah both have been updated around the same time.
I've seen this behaviour since recently on my HTC U11 and my wife's HTC 10. But not with the lockscreen, but with accepting calendar invitations. When we invite each other for shared events, we receive an e-mail with links to accept, refuse, or maybe the invitation. That used to work just fine, but now upon clicking the Accept-link, the Android Calendar app returns "Event not found". It could very well be since the March 6 update of the calendar app.
Google Calendar had an update today but still having the error.

Play Store only offers me version 5.8.22 from March 1. I downgraded to 5.8.20 found on a not recently updated tablet: same problem. So both 5.8.20 and 5.8.22 have this problem, making me think it's not the root of the problem.
But what is then? The Google app?

Maybe the March Android update then.
Could you try the workaround I wrote here:
https://support.google.com/calendar/forum/AAAAd3GaXpEwM3cl12K1iY/?hl=en
"I've found out the following: I go to calendar.google.com, log in, go to settings, under “event settings” set “Add invitations automatically” to “Yes, but don’t notify me unless I’ve said yes or maybe”. Then I can accept invitations again. So I can work around the problem."

Three options:
1. Calendar, but older and newer versions give same problem, so maybe not
2. March update: cannot be sure unless someone without it tries
3. Google app: very probable... I'm on latest beta, someone on stable should try and let us know

You have to find the version on APK mirror that is labeled "no Nexus" it's the only one I've found that works. Also it seems there is a bug with the T-Mobile variant that you won't get notifications for texts with Android messages. If you do let me know how you got it to work. I have tried everything to get Android messages working without success.

I wonder if it is a problem with Android messages or the Moto. I use textra and I have no problems.
As far as the phone app goes, I installed one off the xda labs store and it looks just like the stock Android version.
Nevermind, that is a year old as well.... Sucks
We won't get a working Google dialer as you need Twrp to flash the dialer framework
I've had no problem with android messages as well. Downloaded straight from the play store installed, disabled the moto messages app, set android as default and worked out of the gate.
To anyone that needs Google dialer I've been using this thread and everything seems to work fine and most current version is up usually a few days after update. https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/app-google-dialer-t3557412

I was thinking I was the only one that still does not have it. Crazy!
I connected to pixel support through settings and the technician had me screen share and went through a lot of things like checking in safe mode, Android build version, app settings and other things. He was not sure why my messages app is not updated properly. He ended up having me send a feedback report and said they would be looking into it.
Well time will tell .
I had it on my stock pixel 2 XL then I lost it when I flashed a rom. When I flashed back a month later to stock I got it back. I tried everything I could think of while I was running a custom rom to get it back with no luck.

I have the camera icon now after a clean flash on stock. Every other month (depending on features, patches, etc.) I make it a priority to do a complete wipe of the device. It's tedious and some may see it as redundant, but in my experience since the days of the G1, it keeps everything running smooth.

Strangely update is stable for me i haven't faced any issues with this device since I bought it
For the size of icons, you may try changing developer option\ smallest width from stocked 360 to 390 or 395. This can shrink them somewhat.
