Any one knows how to re-lock the bootloader of one plus 3???
And
How to remove that screen on boot up after unlocking one plus three??? :/
If you read the screen properly ull see the instructions on the screen itself do everything the same way you unlock the bootloader just instead of oem bootloader unlock type oem bootloader lock ...but make sure you're on stock rom and recovery

But then My root access will be wiped??
I want root access and dont want than annoying screen
two questions different answer but I would bet if there is a way to remove nag screen a google search would find it. Keep searching threads
there is no reason to re-lock bootloader, its still under warranty through Oneplus even with unlocked bootloader. but if u really want to
1. fastboot flash stock recovery (fastboot flash recovery recovery.img) (make sure u download the file, its somewhere here on the forums
2. reboot and then reboot to fastboot (fastboot oem lock) (i have never re locked a bootloader so i am not sure if it will rewipe ur device again like unlocking it does)
3. boot to OS and get developer options again and uncheck OEM Unlock (do this last)
i would not recommend re locking since it wont void warranty and seemed like a lot people screwed up their devices relocking it, but they also unchecked the oem unlock before flashing stock recovery, also i am not sure if step 2 is needed, i would just make sure u flash stock recovery 1st before doing anything
HELP

What part of be on stock OS is so hard to understand?
If you're not absolutely stock when relocking, you will brick your device.
Then good luck trying to enable OEM Unlocking when not being able to boot.
As someone who messes with their phone, relocking your bootloader is one of the worst possible things you can do.
If not done correctly, it WILL brick your device.
If you want to go back to stock, then surely do, there is absolutely no need to relock your boot loader unless you're selling your device to someone or if you're looking to pass SafetyNet for Android Pay or something.
Also, you cannot have the cake as well as eat it. You need to have an unlocked boot loader for root, exposed, etc. There is no way around this.
Phones previously had to be reverse engineered and exploited to gain root access, now OEMs freely allow unlocking.

I hope you can read this. I'm not a noob and I am looking to relock my bootloader because I am going to sell it. The person wants it fully stock so I need to relock the bootloader in order to regain access to official Ota updates.
I need to be on complete stock (stock recovery and rom) right? Would you please kindly point me to where I need to go to download the stock Rom and recovery. There's some TWRP flashable OTA zips on Oneplus forums that restore stock Rom and recovery but I want to be sure that that is enough and that I don't end up bricking my device for something as stupid as this. Any help would greatly be appreciated!

Fash 3.2.4 FW from here.
Follow all instructions from here (except I would suggest sideloading the StockROM before relocking).

I followed the same guide posted on OnePlus Forum to re-lock my bootloader. Just follow them, it works.
Here is that link from OnePlus forum.
1. I restored my stock rom backup from TWRP
2. Flashed Stock recovery
3. fastboot oem lock
4. Sideload stock ROM
Done.
I unlocked because stock ROM I felt was much stabler and hassle free. Have rooted and played with custom ROMs enough in my Nexus 5 days. Just too much stress and can end up with non-working features. Might root again in future if I find something compelling in custom ROM.

If you unlock bootloader and root device. Do you still get OTA updates if you stay on stock ROM?

If you unlock device, you will still be able to apply OTA. If you rooted by modifying the /system partition, OTA will fail, but if thou rooted using systemless method, you can apply OTA.
Iam on stock OOS 4.0.3 and i was plagued by the same error
--adb sideload the complete rom (with locked bootloader)-- method worked for me.
Previously i had unlocked bootloader and was on freedom OOS 2.3 with TWRP and then i realized that stock updates are better.
So i installed stock recovery and and tried to flash Stock Firmware 4.0.3 through sideload command and it failed.
then i installed TWRP and then installed stock OOS 4.0.3 and it installed fine but with some error.
Then i installed stock recovery
So i rebooted it and after long time it was installed but then i started getting dm_verity error and also i was frustated with unlocked bootloader message.
So i locked my boot loader first from fastboot oem lock and then sideloaded the stock 4.0.3 again and it really worked.
So now i am on stock rom and stock recovery and no more dm_verity error or unlocked bootloader msg to wait for 5 secs...
Now iam really loving my Oneplus 3..
I keep looking through a lot of threads and googling root for the pixel but am not seeing if you can root the pixel XL with the may update yet.... Can someone clarify for me if it is possible? And if so, can you point me to instructions on how to do it? Thank you so much
It is not currently possible for VZW devices. I haven't done a ton of research on the unlocked device but I do think root is possible.
If you're unlocked then you simply flash supersu zip in recovery and flash the boot image patch right after. If you're locked and on anything after 7.1 with a Verizon pixel then you're sol. If you're unlocked then you can flash away.
Can I just simply from a factory img bootloader unlocked pixel xl....use the fastboot boot to twrp.img and then flash supersu2.79 and be completely factory with factory recovery but have root?

One extra step after the May update.
After you install SU 2.79 RC3 while in TWRP...before you reboot....install the zip from the first post in the thread below.

Hi,
With the new version of Magisk v14.0, it seems that neither root neither custom recovery are necessary!
So if I just unlock the bootloader and install Magisk, my device should reveice the OTA right?
Anyone tried and succeeded?
I'm currently using PureNexus, but i'd prefer to go back on stock with OTA. (and edit /etc/host with magisk)
Thanks
You should install stock recovery if you want to get OTA . If you're rooted, you will lose root and need to flash Magisk again (with nexus root toolkit).
Locked or unlocked bootloader, it not affect the updating process. The custom recovery will not flash OTAs . Flash fire is the solution if you have custom recovery . Bootloader and radio can only flash with fastboot. But lately with the latest updates on flash fire, it reboot and screen stay black and need to perform force reboot.
What I wanted to do:
1 - Factory reset (I received my 5x yesterday, no data to backup)
2 - Revert to stock (stock rom + stock recovery)
3 - Install Magisk Manager
4 - Patch stock boot image in Magisk Manager
5 - Flash the patched boot image
After these few steps, I should have a stock rom with magisk.
When OTA is available, I have to restore stock boot image, then apply the OTA, and finally perform steps 3 to 5 right?

I find this easier/faster:
1. stock rom + stock recovery
2. "fastboot boot twrp.img" (boots TWRP without flashing it)
3. install magisk from TWRP
When OTA cames in, I just apply it and then repeat steps 2 and 3

Ok, thanks for the tips.

Well, unless I missed something, in your steps you need computer to flash patched boot.img as well.. You have to have a stock recovery for OTA, you can't flash it via TWRP.

How did you suceed to boot twrp with locked bootloader? I'm trying to make as you wrote, but when I try it fails:
downloading 'boot . img'...
OKAY [ 0.429s]
booting...
FAILED (remote: unlock device to use this command)
I neither want to unlock my bootloader.
You can't use fastboot commands with locked bootloader, the only way is to unlock the bootloader. Unlocking bootloader on Nexus 5x is also a "safety" preparation for a future HW bootloop, you might be able to use one of the existing (temporary) fixes to boot the phone with problematic CPU cores disabled.

As long as you keep stock recovery and unmodified system, you can apply OTA. It doesn't check bootloader status or systemless modifications (Magisk, Supersu,..). Just please keep in mind that bootloader unlocking will wipe all your data.
Here is a guide how to install the OTA without computer and keep magisk:
https://github.com/topjohnwu/Magisk/blob/master/docs/tips.md#ota-installation-tips

You're asking in a dead and wrong thread. However, this post has everything you need. You can also check out https://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-5x/general/nexus-5x-bootloop-death-blod-andorid-t3683926.
I'm guess there is no root for oreo as of yet for the z2 force? I bout this phone used and it had already been upgraded to oreo. From what I understand I can't downgrade to 7.1 without bricking the phone, I'm I correct? any help would be appreciated.

Not yet.
I have an unlocked bootloader on Oreo for sprint and want to know if it really is as easy as flashing twrp through boot, flashing the zip in twrp, then flashing magisk. I don't want to brick because there doesn't seem to be a Flash-all to flash back to stock oreo. Please correct me if I'm wrong

Correct:
Boot (NOT flash) official TWRP
Flash the installer.zip in TWRP
Flash Magisk for root
And there is a Sprint Oreo Flash All for stock - https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=75658956&postcount=65

Updated... But it's still unlocked.
That message shows up even if relock the bootloader.
You need to flash a modified logo.bin image to get rid of it.
If you use my guide, you need to be on a custom rom for relocking. Otherwise it wont work , so try installing twrp, and install a custom rom. Than u can relock
