I changed the registry.
When the backlight is off and the screen is lock, the backlight does not go on when I unlock the screen at this moment.
Have to press the power button to turn the screen off and on again for the backlight to work properly.
Is there a resolution on this?
Thank you.

It looks that there is a problem with Blackstone Roms, all of them have this problem. I always used autolock and my solution was to disable the Dim timer on the Power settings.
This way the phone will only locks when it powers off.

I can confirm that! I don't have the issue with that ROM.
But:
When i press the CallEnd button for some seconds to lock the screen manually then there seems to be a kind of a delay until the lock screen appears.
is there a way to get the lock screen immediately or is it a general winmobile issue?
I don't know why, but nobody mentioned S2U2. Works perfectly on all Dutty ROM's and does all the things needed to solve this problem.
I set it to "Lock when device wakes up". Additionally I chose not to use S2A (Slide to Answer) in favor of the default answering slider which works like a charm for me. When somebody calls me S2U2 automatically unlocks and I have full access to the answering buttons.
Further I disabled the automatic power off by S2U2 and let WinMo do this in order to prevent conflicts between the different power managments.

Everytime i double tap to wake screen i get a vibration...is it anyway to disable it? I disabled vibrate on touch option already. Im rooted on stock rom is it a app or xposed module to stop it?

I haven't used it, since it doesn't bother me too much, but I've read that this will solve the issue:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cynyx.vibrafix&hl=nl
Edit:
Might solve that issue. I read that it can definitely help with fingerprint unlock vibration. I'm not completely sure of the options available in the app.

Glad to hear that it worked!
Yes thanks so much...the vibration was driving me nuts
I double tap the screen to unlock and then use face ID which instantly takes me into the phone. However, is there a way to get rid of the vibration when the phone actually unlocks? I've gone through all the settings and I can't find a way to disable it.
I'd like to see an update in the future to disable this too... Really annoying!

I've disabled vibrate on tap and it still does it... The only time it doesn't vibrate is if I turn off the fingerprints and unlock with the power button, not double tap to wake.

I got the phone today, any information why double tap to wake is not possible. or activated ?
I have no idea, but I would also very much like to know. I miss my double tap...!
Same here, just received the phone: Quality seems quite good but I'm surprised this basic functionality (double tap to wake) is not available.
From what I read, if it's not implemented at kernel level then no apps can bring it to the phone ...
If anyone has more info, that would be great!
As an alternative this app can be tried. It wakes the device up by wave gesture.
It must be checked if Mi A2 Lite still goes to deep sleep mode and doesnt stay awake when app is active (hint by dev that some devices have problems)
Also it must be checked if Fingerprint is working without any issues like re-enter PIN after fingerprint unlock
Same problem, got the phone last saturday... it seems that the oreo version has it but our phone's didn't...
This ROM is extremely light so they removed most of the common features.
Let's just wait for a semi-official Lineage release for A2L.
Or you can wait until someone builds a kernel for this device. Many Kernels enable tap to wake functionally.

I thought the finger print sensor would make tap to wake useless lol.
I got the phone 3 days ago. Double-tap to wake works from day one.
I really wish I could turn it OFF.
Ambient Light is Off, TalkBalk is Off but phone still wakes up in my pocket all the time.
Anyone know how to turn this feature Off please?

Strangely, on my A2 Lite, double tap only wakes up the screen. Double tapping when screen is awake does nothing at all.
I emailed Xiaomi Support about this, asking how I could disable the waking up. The reply came from Xiaomi Support Malaysia:
Go to the Settings - Select Accessibility - Select advanced settings - Turn on the pocket mode option
I replied, "There is no Advanced Settings under Accessibility. There is also no setting available when I search for pocket or double or tap twice."
Their advice was to backup and perform a Factory Reset, which I think is nonsense.

Ambient display and double tab to wake is broken for me on 10.0.4. To reproduce: press power to shut off the display, put your phone in your pocket and take it out again. Ambient display / inactivity display / Double tab to wake is mostly broken for me after that. I have to use power button to wake it up again.
Anyone else?

What's time there ?
Happened me same on 10.0.3 build, but it was too morning time when I never wake up.
I also shocked and tried to reboot and other things, none of them worked.
.
Then it's start to work again normally after 8am

10.0.3 also had the same issue. Initially it was not there. The bug started to occur yesterday. I wws hoping that it would get fixed in 10.0.4. But no luck. May be I'll try a factory reset and check.

Let the system download and install the update. Since you are rooted it will download complete ROM of about 2.3Gb.
After it installs it will give reboot option, DON'T REBOOT.
Open Magisk Manager and install or update Magisk (the first option), even if already installed. Select the option Direct Install. Again, DON'T REBOOT.
Open Magisk Manager once again and again install Magisk, this time use the option Install in inactive slot.
I had also updated the Magisk Manager itself and there were no issues
Now reboot and you will be updated with root intact
Updated.
