I was able install beta 3 Oreo xposed on Android P Dev.
It read as following
"Android P 8.1 SDK 27"
So rebooted on got stuck on G and updating.
By theory it should work, any ideas?

1. not the spot, ask in the xposed forum
2. no it shouldn't work, not the same SDK as Android O is sdk 27, not Android P.
But its between O-P
It states "Android P 8.1 SDK 27"
Not "Android P 9.0 SDK 28" so since hybrid of both.Shouldn't it work?
Why can nobody post in correct threads
How do you transfer it to xposed thread,I didn't know it needed to be put there.Thought it was mod since it wasn't official, sorry

Well you're trying it and its not working so no.
It's a different OS version and your first indication is the SDK. Android P isn't SDK 27 so I don't care what is written, it's not compatible.

Hey Guys,
i have one question:
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 is a 64Bit CPU, but tools (specifically Xposed) says the system is ARM not ARM64 and the app AIDA64 says the command set is "64-bit ARMv8-A (32-bit Mode)".
So is the G5 running a 32Bit Android?
And could this be the reason why Xposed don't work?
(Only tested the arm zip file, not the arm64, rooted wit Magisk)
The g5 runs 32bit android
Xposed works fine - I used the Unofficial build from
https://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/xposed-android-nougat-sdk-25-arm64-t3639221
However since I tested this a while ago the official nougat xposed has been released - according to one post Iv seen AICP rom thread that also works fine
Make sure you choose the correct sdk
Android 7.0 is sdk 24
Android 7.1 is sdk 25

First of all: thank you for your answer.
I only tested the official Xposed and I took the correct sdk, but I got a bootloop on my Stock rom, so I don't know why it fails, probably because of Magisk?

Xposed doesn't always work with stock roms - you may need a custom rom - I only tested on lineageos

It looks like yes it is possible!
Oreo SDK images should be A-only, and P should be A/B (every new P device will be A/B)

Thant you for the information!!
In fact I going to try to play with treble and MIUI Rom, but I only have one phone, and I didn't want to spend my time between testing and restoring my phone
I've had Android X86 Oreo on a Dell laptop, everything working except WiFi. That's running from a live DVD, the laptop has Android X86 64 bit Nougat installed and WiFi does work on that.
And what has this to do wih OP's question?
After some test, it seems unfortunately, Android SDK emulator isn't able to run Arm64 Oreo images... It only support x86 images...
So i recently re-installed Lineage OS on my old nexus 5 and i was wondering, how can i install Xposed on to it, with framework and app and all that? With the search results online i am not getting really far, i don't quite know what version to install , how to do it etc....
Note: i need Xposed specifically to install multiple custom watchfaces on a huawei watch GT2.
I tried installing a version, but it just reseted my phone, and when i check the Rooted sate of the phone i get "not rooted" or something like that.
I installed LineageOS via TWRP on the phone.
Can you guys help me out here? i did not root or install custom FW on a phone in a loong time and i am out of the loop of recent hacks and stuff.
Thanks in advance

Main point for xposed: what Android version? For xposed I recommend nougat. LinageOS 14.1 is still getting security patches.

I doubt it.
It seems that the new Google GSI without modifications require the KeyMaster 4.0.
But only devices launched with 9.0 on the market have it.
hello I want to run gsi android 10 or 11 on android 8, but they don't start me, I would like to know what I should take into account. Thank you

In stock ROM, install the Treble Info app (Link here) and check which version is right for your device (I guess you should use A-only). Maybe there is some page referring to this device here on XDA.
