I received the face unlock update today. Should I go for this update or wait for next coz many of them complaining about the touch issues. I love this mobile and I don't want any bugs in that.

That update messed up my sister's device. Touch issues, sometimes non responsive and sometimes touches all over the screen without any reason. Contacted honor and they said to leave the device with service center as even reset didn't solved the problem.
So, its up to you, maybe many users are not affected as i didn't found many users on hihonor forum as well

No,it actually effected many people. You can check on Honor 7x Emui Discord server. Its better not to install that update than to mess the whole device just for a face unlock feature which isn't that usefull when you unlock just by single action (finger print )
Yeah.. Right.. I didn't updated it and also update was vanished just like that. Thank god

Hi Guys, is anybody having issues with the double tap to wake up after 6.0 update.....Mine only works partially as if I unlock the phone via power button and double tap it goes to sleep but double tapping to wake up does not work at all. I already calibrated the g-sensor and I do not have the option to uninstall and re-install the HTC Motion Launch app from the store to see if that fixes the problem.
Thanks.

This is happening to many even with being on 5.1 still, myself included. And I just received a replacement phone and double tap isn't working

Hi eminembdg, funny that you mention that, this is a replacement phone, I got it 2 days before the 6.0 update, could this be a hardware problem?, the phone I got looks brand new, not refurbished!

Not sure, could be. To be honest, I don't feel like sending another phone back so I think I'll just live with no double tap. I think it's more likely software, not hardware. Double tap was controlled by the kernel

So if it is software related the only thing we can do is to wait for HTC to fix the issue or for the devs. to get a hold of the kernel and do their thing and add the mod to it.
I'm only guessing. Only because in other roms for other phones it required certain kernel to get double tap. If you read the motion gesture app reviews in app store, so so many are complaining about double tap and they just keep telling people to uninstall and update the app again. But that doesn't work

Up to you. I don't know that'll help much really, at least at solving the issue
I chatted with HTC support via online chat. They want me to give them a $600 hold on a credit card and they'll over night me a new phone and send back this one. Told them to escalate my issue higher since I refuse to give them a credit card hold when they gave me a broken phone as a replacement for another broken phone. Guess I'll see what happens when they get back to me
The fingerprint scanner after update is significantly fast and accurate
You just have to give a good touch to screen and it will unlock
The fact that we are getting update for our devices makes the consumer really confident with the product
The camera should get better soon as well
If u guys see lock screen for fraction of seconds just try clearing up recent app tray for instant fix or just use ur phone normally this bug will disappear
And if it still doesnt work just setup wallpaper again.
This bug appears when u manually try to bring up lock screen by power button or by constant tap on fingerprint scanner
Just clear the recent app tray
The update really is remarkable.

Maybe a dirty fix but do you have both Face unlock and FP unlock enabled? If yes, I recommend deleting all previous FPs, remove face unlock (delete the registered face), then add the fingerprints again. I did the same and FP unlock feels much faster (even with a tempered glass screen protector). All the best!
Hmm.
No Face recognition. Just FP...
Will try to clean system.
Tnx

The double tap to wake up screen not working anymore after July update.
Does anyone face the same problem or just me?
Luckily I still can wake the screen using the fingerprint.
If you also have this problem help to confirm here: http://en.miui.com/thread-7015861-1-1.html
I have the same problem since the July update
xiaomi removed it already with the last update, coz so many users complained about it
I've tried the suggested solution on this thread on MI community -
https://c.mi.com/thread-2323578-1-0.html
No luck. Xiaomi did removed it, as it was working before.
We need that feature back, any idea how to enable it again manually?
I've tried changing the tables values that has anything to do with this issue thorugh ADB, still nothing.
Any help will be greatly appreciated!

And now many more users complain about it being disabled. So why don't just toggle it, for crying out loud? :/ DT2W was soooo convenient to check anything on the phone while its lying on the desk.
I have just replaced my screen as my other developed a random crack in it... No I didn't drop it and it wasn't huge but I'm anal and ocd so I bought a replacement.
The replacement seemed to go well although I did get some of the factory glue on the sensor. I carefully cleaned it with microfiber and isopropyl alcohol. It looked good. Attached it to my new screen and connected the cable.
It seemed fine. Before glueing my new display down I tested it and the display worked but it didn't even see my fingerprint sensor. Reseated it multiple times and I've had no luck.
The fingerprint calibration won't work and it reports my version is too new. I'm tempted to factory reset but I don't know if it will work and I don't want to if I can help it. Any thoughts? It just doesn't see it at all.

Yes, this is a known issue. And it happened to me as well in February. My phone slipped off my desk and caused a big crack at the top corner, and me being anal like you, I took it to the local authorized screen repair. I didn't research beforehand, and learned that replacing the screen breaks the fingerprint sensor. The fingerprint calibration software doesn't seem to work for most people. What I learned is that it's a software issue and could be fixed with a software update. I haven't seen any update since then as there is still no fix.
I look forward to any others' feedback or knowledge because with no Face ID and no fingerprint unlock it gets annoying unlocking via PIN all the time.

I know it's a little late but when something like this happens, its best to contact Google. There have been many reports of people getting replacements for small cracks or screens that won't turn on.
As for your issue - this is a known problem with the calibration tool. Some users have stated it takes 20 tries (on a windows system) in order to get it to work. A few also stated that they re-flashed Android with the web flash tool, and it worked after that.
Your last option would be to contact Google Support and see if they can provide any fix for the calibration tool.
There are a lot of users who are experiencing this issue on Google's Issue Tracker. Hopefully we'll see an update soon enough.

There wasn't really any point for me to reach out to them because I don't have insurance and it's outside of the warranty period. They'd want me to send it in for repair which is not an option because I can't be without my phone due to work. It was a crack in the screen so there wasn't any way for them to fix remotely.
Perhaps I can try the android flash tool. Just didn't want to do a factory reset.

You can do it without a custom ROM. It's an Xposed module. I'm not running it and it's much better than fingerprint. I don't even care anymore about my fingerprint reader.

Hi all! I wanted to come back to this thread and report that I installed this module yesterday and it is fantastic! After installing the June build and I installed Lsposed then the Universal Face Unlock module and it's much better than a fast fingerprint unlock! Totally worth trying out!
Wanted to share in case this helps anyone with a replaced screen or anyone who wants to try another option to FP unlock
Something similar happened to me. The solution was to use the fingerprint calibration tool and instantly reboot the phone. Not sure if it will work, but worth a shot.

I did a factory reset which didn't resolve the fingerprint detection issue after my screen replacement last week. It did resolve the "newer version" message but resetting took me back to Android 12 as I was on 12 quarterly.
The calibration tool will not download and errors out. As @roirraW "edor" ehT mentioned, there is a defect opened in bug tracker since February but no status on ETA. A user reported success downloading the calibration tool when using a Chromebook. For me, download failed on both Mac and Windows.

Since my phone was still under warranty I went into a ubreakifix and after several trips, because my spectral sensor was bad too, I now have a fully repaired phone. Everything is working great on it now. Nice to have the fingerprint sensor back but I'm still using the face unlock mod except for with banking apps and gpay.
Ubreakifix let me know that you can't successfully move your old fingerprint to a new display as it won't pair. They had to replace using a kit with the display and a new fingerprint sensor included.
Thank you!
Interesting that ubreakifix said that you can't "move" a fingerprint to a new screen. Maybe that is what they did for you since you didn't factor reset? Honestly, I don't understand much of this but I performed a full factory reset so, for me, this isn't about moving a fingerprint. What do I know though!
The screen installed on my phone has a fingerprint reader and came from the screen supplier. I have read that others successfully installed and calibrated their screens if they got the calibration tool to download. I am hoping I can do the same once Google fixes the issue with the calibration tool download. I will also borrow a Chromebook from work and give it a try on there in the interim.
Thanks again for the insight! I appreciate your response.
I think that the calibration tool only work if the fingerprint setting still available and when the enrollment fail.
If the fingerprint setting is gone seems like the sensor is damaged or not connected correctly.
I have same problem after replacing my screen, the fingerprint print setting has gone.
I have got magic 4 pro two weeks ago and i note that there is a clear lag when i move between applications or within the application it self, Twitter, Google play Chrome... As sample
The problem is clear after each restart the Mobile and be better if i use it for more days without restart
After reset the Phone nothing changed... It is a clear lag
Finally, the problem was from the screen protector, I've removed and now it's smooth
This protector by Honor
I have another problem: when I unlock the screen(swipe or ampreint), the screen is freezing...to unfreeze I have to lock and unlock again...
I have the same issue (lag) but I've not removed screen protection.
When a use the search mode (swype down) keyboard is very slow and starting app too
This phone is so bad I can't believe it's actually for real, the lag and inconsistent WiFi calling , clearly there is a major issue with the software , I'm really hoping this will get resolved with the next update which I am also hoping will be released very soon.
