Also for anyone using swift dark when i receive a notification i can't see app name as colour is too dark. I can see messages on notification shade but not the app name and person sending. Is there a way to pick the text color etc

Yep, it's pretty common. Usually the fix is to delete the overlay, then compile, and apply it again. Then again, other times you just have to wait until the Dev updates the theme. It's really uncanny how Google seems to update an app, so the theme doesn't work, a day or 2 after the theme has been updated! Coincidence or conspiracy!?? ??

I'm trying to install the Google "Live Earth" (blue marble) wallpaper on my Pixel 2 XL. Every supposed port for the P2XL I've found either won't install or installs but stops running as soon as launched.
Anyone know of an APK for the P2XL that works?

Those live wallpapers don't work on the P2XL. Tried the "Your World, Your Solar System" globe wallpaper, but it just stops the app. Most others I've found won't install at all.

Weird. They all are working fine for me... I switch between a few of them all the time. Google Wallpaper app in the Playstore. Your setup may be bugged. Oh, I use Nova exclusively if that makes a difference?
They are working fine on my Google Pixel 2 XL running Nova Launcher... This should not be a problem. Try reinstalling wallpaper app from playstore...

Hi guys I'm after a dark theme for my pixel 2 XL. I tried swift dark which looked nice but i had trouble with notifications. When i scrolled down from the top nav bar some of the text was dark so was hard to read. Is there a way of changing notification texts

Use swift black instead and it has black white text fix included
I haven't experienced any problems regarding this theme make sure to reboot after applying
Also black looks more sexy than dark just saying ?
Cheers ?

Not sure you can. I believe it's native to the theme. Does the same on mine.

Surely there would be a setting to enable color change.
Also would nova launcher clash with substratum theming
Aah okay
Now i understand
When you select notification app name option overlay in android system to be app specific that's what make it green for whatsapp because whatsapp has that color as default

So is there a way of changing the color of notification from green to another color? Possibly blue for instance.
If so can you write the steps on how i can do this thanks

That's not possible AFAIK
You need to use a different theme which themes the whatsapp app notification
Can't really know about any theme but you can try themes and if it doesn't work get a refund
Cheers ?

Odd. I'm stock and don't have it.
Do you have a special theme on? I notice your navigation buttons are Oreo style instead of Pie.

No special theme
On the Flash kernel.
Magisk with vanced YouTube and viper.
Its not there directly after boot, and skinnier when no other notifications are present. I think it's tasker or something similar that I tried to suppress.
Solved: it was my network speed app
Glad you figured it out

I'm on Pie. My navigation bar looks the same. No special theme.
I forgot that the regular buttons still has the filled triangle instead of the open one with the gesture controls.

First time using synergy vs Substratum.
Couple of questions.
When an app in the store updates, do you have to reset back to default theme, recompile, reapply and all that stuff?
When a theme from substratum light updates in the store, do you have to undo everything, recompile, reapply? or?

I hadn't updated my apps then when I did I had to go back to default theme. Uninstall then recompile etc.
Not sure if there is a quicker way? I do miss swift installer how it was so easy to update. Maybe turn off auto update and do it when you have spare time or something haha

Swift black themes third party apps like WhatsApp and Outlook?
Has anyone else gotten Gmail in Dark Mode to work yet? Getting frustrated with all these articles saying it's out but never seeing it be available. I'm legally blind with high sensitivity to light so kind of important for me to have if it's there. Wondering if it may be related to how OnePlus changed the system theming, but then again, the setting to manually enable it is not in the client either.
You'll just have to wait longer. I know it sucks but you will get it soon. I've had it for a few days, and it is very nice.

Good enough for me. Thanks for the confirmation it is hitting our device.
I can also confirm that it will come eventually as it works on mine. Slow roll outs as usual, I had not gotten it yet on my pixel 2 xl as of two days ago when I switched to my 7t and then I got it right away. No rhyme or reason apparently.

Why not theme GMail with substratum?
How do you guys get the Gmail dark? Like is there an option for it (once it's rolled out) or do you have to download a completely new Gmail with the dark theme?

When I loaded all of my info and apps onto my 7t it just went into dark mode on its own. In the settings of gmail I looked in general and the first setting at the top is theme and it defaulted to system theme which I have on dark.
