Hey there
I'm looking for stock marshmallow for our tmobile galaxy tab s on rooted stock 5.0 t807t.
The only marshmallow I see is for the t807a or the Turkish 6.0.1 for the t807 on sammobile.
What'll happen if I flash the Turkish 6.0.1 on this tmobile tablet?
If not Turkish, does anyone have any suggestions for something close-ish to stock?
Thanks In advance
A pity that often in forums to interesting questions, no replies follow. Unfortunately I cannot really contribute either except for essentially asking the same question.
I have the same tablet and would like to update it to Marshmallow but I am not sure whether the T807T version is technically the same as the non-T one.
Since your posting is already from several months ago - have you gone forward in the meantime and tried to flash it with that Turkish 6.0.1 firmware?
Same question
So funny,
No responses from my OP so I decide to give up.
2ish years later I ended up Googling about how to do this, taking another shot, and it brings me to the thread I created lol.
Right before I got back here I found a thread on lineage os that REQUIRES this SPECIFIC device (t807t) to be flashed stock 6.0.1 before proceeding with lineageos install.
Which to me brings me some hope that this old bird may have another go round.
I'm not the authority on lineageos, I don't actually know who maintans the wiki but check this out...
https://wiki.lineageos.org/devices/chagalllte/install
I'm Going to reach out to the guy who wrote that over at lineage Hopefully he can shed some light.
I wouldn't dare expect a Supreme xda mind to help with such a lowly request.
Yeah, "funny" as in dreadful irony.
I've already given up on seriously attempting to update this sadly orphaned tablet and considering that the most bothersome issue - the lack of any decent screen calibration - won't be addressed by Marshmallow either, it's probably not worth the trouble anyway.
At leastmy personal android update experience taught me that even if one or two things are a bit nicer or "better" in the new version, this often comes at the cost of at least the same amount of features not working anymore like they used to do before.
Same issue here. I had a proper 6.0.1 file for the t805w but now on updato all I get it a 5.0.2 firmware posing as a 6.0.1.
I flash it and still on LP.
does anyone know of anywhere where the proper 6.0.1 files are located. I'm registered on updato and sammobile amongst a few others I now regret registering on

Hi!
I am quite new to the Android world. I just got a LG LU6200 LTE, the Korean one. It is running 2.3.5!
There are a lot of issues with the messaging and the Korean Carriers bloatware.
I stumbled on this site http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2453565 and am planning to flash this ROM.
I need your help regarding the following things:
1. Are there any firmware updates that I need to do prior to the installation process? I haven't made any updates. The software is exactly the same as it came out of the box.
2. Rooting: I am on stock 2.3.5 I read somewhere that I need to upgrade to ICS Engineer Version(?) and then try rooting? How do I go about it?
3. Clockwork Mod Recovery : I think after the rooting part, I can do this, even then, can I just install the latest version of CWM, from their XDA thread, or do I need to use some other older version?
4. What are the best ROMs in terms of stability for this particular phone? I am not a power user and I just want the phone to work. A good battery life would be a plus though. Also, I read somewhere that there are issues with message character limits, hope I can avoid that with a good ROM.
----------
I am sorry if this post seems redundant, but the ones I read were more than a 15 months old and I fear the information given in that would be outdated.
---------
Also, I will update the post with all the relevant information I receive for this process, to help others in the same endeavour.
Thank you for your time!
Hi all, I'm new here (but not on xda) be gentle!
I'm searching for good update, so I decide to go for 4.4.4 from 4.4.2. , because 5.0 has a lot of problems, at least what I see no progress (correct me if I'm wrong) but never mind that...
I have question regarding update Europe, International G3 D855 16gb/2gb RAM model.
So I search and find couple od firmware, but I'm confused what to look.
on this site http://devtester.ro/restricted/imei.php I found couple different firmware for my phone, I gues this is 5.x firmwares but I am confused. Can someone explain me:
-MODEL D855 (ok, I understand this)
-VERSION D85520H_00 (I guess this is a version of the android ) I know from the website that the latest version... is it? (lg-firmware.jpg)
-BUYER 6KS ?
-BUYER NAME TELEKOM_16G (I get that this is the provider, but the difference between this and without labels)
-COUNTRY CS/Serbia (I guess it's the localization, language and so on)
-REGION Europe (self-explanatory)
-LIVE DATE 2015-02-09 (day release)
and this:
SUFFIX A6PSTN vs A6KSTN (this is the biggest mystery that I can not figure out)
please help!
not sure what all of those are.
i do know that for a firmware name, if it has a '10' in it ie. v10h, it is KK, if it has '20' in it ie v20i it is LP.
do make sure though, when you download firmware that it is for your model, in this case a 16gb/2gb ram.
if you want to go to 4.4.4, you'll need to find a custom ROM that was released with it, as LG never released a 4.4.4 update.
i think your worries about LP aren't unwarrented, but it is great. it runs flawlessly for me. no outstanding issues, better battery.
you also need to decide if you would like rooting and twrp capabilities. to install a rom that has 4.4.4, you will need root & twrp.
if that scares you - you can get to LP via LG official stock without either of those. will be 5.0 though.
rooting and twrp is easier than ever - one click root and twrp install via apk.
sus it out and decide what you want to do.
i'd suggest you'd create a nandroid (need twrp) and move it to your ext. sd card, that way if you flash anything you don't like, you can easily revert back to what you had.
tnx for advice!
I did beckup, but I'll wait a little more I see that some things are losing transition to lollipop. I had contact with a buddy phone that has lollipop, He didn't left too strong an impression on me.
I am not afraid, for a long time do these things with the famous Motorola Defy+ , I have experience and guts
I'm waiting to see if someone will know to answer my question

I do not know about this website, for my country only have one firmware, and on the other there are more than... Look my first post
Hey team,
I'm very new to working with smart phone bootloaders and flashing different ROM's. Currently I have only ever played with ADB a little bit, have never come close to flashing another ROM/firmware, let alone rooting.
Here's the thing, is that I've very interested in running a couple operating systems on my S7 Active, however it seems that if I am on Oreo, this process becomes much more difficult.
I come here for 2 reasons, first is that I need points to ask questions in other forums. I figure here is the best place to start on getting answers and where to look for information.
My second reason is so that I may get some help / information on how to get my S7 Active set up for using at least 2 operating systems - Regular Oreo, as well as Android's PostMarketOS. I am a new user, so I cannot post a link, however you can find it at reddit r/PostMarketOS. I am fully aware that I will likely need to build my own version of PostMarketOS. I'm not here for help with this, so much as I am here for getting help to prepare my S7 Active for this process.
So, I suppose to start, my questions are as follows:
1. Am I stuck with Oreo?
2. While I have unlocked OEM in developer settings, I feel that there's more to unlocking the bootloader - is there information for Oreo on how to do this?
3.I understand that there is root for Android N (7.0), however I have read that you cannot downgrade to (7.0). Furthermore, I am not sure if this would even be necessary.
To give a bit more information, to create the PostMarketOS for Android, it must be created using Linux, and I have a link to post, however I am a new user, the guide for creating PostMarketOS is on the sidebar of Reddit.
Hopefully I can get some help, but I would be happy with just some resources on where to go about starting/finding information. I'm a total noob in this regard, but I am a quick learner and motivated to get my S7 Active to not run so laggy... Plus it would be fun to use 2 operating systems
If you need any other information, I'm happy to find and give it.
I would like to request for a custom rom MediaPad M2-A04LV100R001C137B022
I have followed this thread : https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...nd-root-your-huawei-mediapad-m2-8-10.3322340/
to root my tablet but all the links are dead.
Please any help would be really appreciate
I'll 2nd that request, specifically for 802L.
Considering the current state of electronics supply chains (semiconductors) and the aging and/or boring tablets on the market ATM, this may be a good time to kick start a custom ROM for this device.
I have a developer background and would be keen on trying a "roll your own" ROM but have questions before I get started:
Considering the age of the last software release (ROM) provided for 802L, would the current drivers work with the latest Android kernel?
Can anyone suggest a helpful 'roll your own' guide (noting I'll be searching XDA forums myself, but recommendations can sometimes speed this process up a bit)?
There has been (what appeared to be) a custom ROM some time ago. I'd love to hear from the developer (ajsmsg78) and what they may suggest moving forwards (if that is a good idea to do so considering my first point above).
It may take me a while to get started as I don't want to brick my device, and I don't have the "unlock OEM" option in my developer menu either (looks like KingRoot may be the way... if it still exists).
Any guidance for this n00b would be greatly appreciated.
It's a shame that my m2-802L, although more capable than my newer Samsung tab A 2017, has to be obsoleted because of the outdated Android OS! So an updated custom firmware would be great.
Would live to revive this table/phone as well.
M2 10 lte
M2A01L custom firmware neded too
great i am looking forward to a custom rom for this device
Does anyone know how I can flash an updated OS and security updates to my S20 Tactical Version. The phone works great but won't update. Last OS/security update shown 12/20. Really need some help, thanks.

Here is the screenshot I took:
Have tried odin several times and first 3 it said failed and then last time it di nothing just stayed on writing for 30 mins or more before I stopped it. Gonna try some more. Stuck at abl.elf on the odin prg.
Since it appears that getting it to flash is not going to happen is there anyway to make/flash knox updates, thanks.
Couldn't get it to work so decided to restore my backup from pc to phone using smart switch but nothing is happening, says preparing the restore process for .5 hour and nothing. How long does it take and is there another tool that can restore the data I backed up. Progress 0
Can the S20 be jailbroke and what program do I need. If it gets jail broke can I then put in new os, thanks.
New question since no one answered previous one. If I got the bootloader unlocked and loaded a new android 12 version on it, would it then resume normal updates or just stay on stuck on 12 like it is now on 10. Would it make it a non tactical version or remain same.

How did you get this device? These are generally government/military only, and are destroyed when retired. If you happen to be government and/or military, modifying your device without explicit approval is forbidden and could result in severe legal consequences.

Are you sure a software update is available for your device? If not, your options are limited without unlocking the bootloader.

Jailbreaking applies only to Apple devices. Android phones by default allow installing apps from sources other than the Google Store; rooting depends on the device. Have you enabled Developer Options? If so, do you see an OEM Unlocking toggle?

Per my first answer, if there were an official update for your device, then you should be able to update without unlocking the bootloader. If not, then no - installing a different Android version will not be able to use normal updates, outside of GSIs such as LineageOS.

This is unnecessary. You have a device that simply isn't very popular, so there isn't very much support for it. Further, you posted in the wrong section - as a Galaxy S20, you should have posted this in the Galaxy S20 Questions and Answers section. Posting in the right area gives you better chances of getting help with your issue.

@csmdew As suggested by my esteemed teammate @V0latyle I've moved the thread into the Galaxy S20 forum.

I thought SURE THAT I posted in the right place but if not I apologize and I thought I answered the questions about how I got it and if it has updates available. I know the TE mdl has been updated to A 11 os but don't know if any further. Also what I was asking is if it was flashed with A 13 os would it get updates like a normal S20 mdl would. This was not issued to me but rather purchased online from a seller who sold around 20 of them and the box does not indicate its a Tactical Edition; when I tried to get money back he closed his/her account, so stuck with it.
sorry but i have not find any firmware for your special device
Thanks, that must be why odin won't write to stock firmware. I'm thinking that u must have to have the stock bl firmware to get it to write the rest of the os, not sure of anything. except won't update on it's own.
