HTC One M9, bought from eBay (China). AT&T.
Target - fix gps (unable to find satellites)
S-OFF
Locked (now)
Stock ROM 7.0 401 and recovery
MID - before 0PJA11000, now 0PJA10000
CID - before: in Download Mode 111111, in Simple CID Getter TMUS010, now HTC__032
1. I flashed RUU version 401 (Europe) and same recovery
2. Phone has been rooted. After root there was a red text on the screen when booting. I flashed ABOOT file and it was fixed, but I can't come back to S-ON because of partition modification. And after every OTA update red text comes back
3. GPS can find my position, but can't find any satellites and can't track my way. In GPS app is info about some satellites, but unable to connect with them. This problem is all the time, even before install new RUU.
I'd be inclined to say that the gps is borked at the hardware somewhere.
Try flashing it back to its stock form.
I tried many times.
Where is GPS module in this model?
I mean flash it back to its previous at&t configuration and go from there. If it still has Supercid then change it to match the firmware you're flashing. Supercid is not valid.
Don't worry about s-on or bootloader. Once unlocked they never need to be locked again.

i have tried to get back to stock by flashing an ruu file i downloaded RUU_ENDEAVOR_U_JB_45_S_HTC_Europe_3.14.401.31_R_Radio_5.1204.162.29_release_302015_signed
since my HOX is WWE. i tried to run the exe after re locking bootloader of course, but it gives an error (ERROR 140 BOOTLOADER VERSION ERROR) i tried it more than once so i figured the problem or i think i have my phone is running on 3.20.401.1 and the ruu is 3.14.401.31 i looked every where for 3.20.401.1 ruu but no luck have any one got a link for it?.or some one can help me solve this problem?
Ruu will never see the daylight with that number. If you want stock.....get one in the general section - nandroid backup collection ! More than enough to choose from
The nand has to match :
Fastboot getvar version-main
EDIT :
And if your CID is not present, take the 3.20.401 from another CID and and restore it, then flash back the stock recovery. Do not relock the bootloader (not needed) and update via about - software updates in the settings menu
if i flash a nandroid from another CID will it cause any problems?
downloading your 3.20.401.1 CID HTC__E11
No software issues won't be there. It's just that it's from another cid, it needs one official ota to pull the cid straight. After that you can also relock the bootloader if you wish
After s-off / root / unlocking boot loader and flashing gpe I would like to go back to stock. I keep having reception and camera issues.
I have the RUU which gives me an error 159 image error, my current is just blank. I have read that it could be my cid but i am not sure what the AT&T factory cid should be.
There is a list of files to try but they all depend on the cid and factory number and I don't have any factory number listed when I run the fastboot commands on the page.
How can I overcome error 159 and get the RUU to work as it seems the easiest way.
Thanks

just a quick update so far i changed the cid to supercid and i got it to flash 1.54.401.5-W_Splash.zip firmware and i got my stock recovery screen back. I had relocked my phone and ran the RUU its at 66% so I am keeping my fingers crossed
i was traying to revert to stock by following the thread of mike1989 and apparently i did something wrong, im on s-on relocked bootloader and flashed a stock rom odexed (also by mike1989) and flashed stock recovery after that, now the phone cant recive any OTA's since ive flashed the 4.4.4 rom (world wide english version) and my phone is from france (CID: ORANG202) and i cant re-unlock the bootloader to flash a custom recovery
i also tried to flash a RUU (with the same CID) but no success it says :FAILED (remote: 12 signature verify fail)
i will be very thankful if anyone could help me!
Just go through HTCDev.com again to unlock the bootloader.
What if the exact file name of the RUU you tried?
What hboot, radio numbers?
If the RUU is indeed correct for your CID (for which I'm a bit suspicious, there aren't many RUUs for Euro carriers), you might have the wrong version. With s-on, the RUU has to be equal or greater firmware version than what is on the phone (no "downgrading").
Hi everybody,
I'm sorry, I'm sure this question may be asked so much time, but after 1 hour searching I don't find anything usefull for me... (Maybe a keywork issue ?)
I don't know what I've done, but after I locked again the bootloader in order to flash on a RUU, I blocked my HTC 10 and can't boot on android again.
When I tried it the phone is only going to bootloader mode and don't want to get to my Os. I have TWRP and was on the custom LeeDroid 7.0.
I can't backup or do anything and while i try the dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/fota on the terminal, it won't work...
And I can't unlock again the phone, I've tried and it's "relocked".
Has someone have the same issues ? Really need your help ! :crying:
Thank you !
Why did you even lock the bootloader to flash a RUU? Is that mandatory? Sticking with Lee is always a better idea .
You might wanna try using a RUU.exe to get your OS back. What firmware and model do you currently have?

Yes it was lol...
But i've read that it was better to be on a locked bootloader to flash ruu :crying:
Yes, you need to lock the bootloader to flash an RUU.
Some people like custom roms, some want to go back to stock.
From the bootloader you can go to download mode and get the unlock token and try the process again to unlock, I would guess. Beyond that, I'm assuming the RUU screwed up somewhere. It is generally not possible to flash an RUU unless the phone matches the RUU's CID and MID parameters. And if it didnt work, the RUU wont have gotten far enough to do any damage.

I've re-unlocked the phone but it won't install the ruu but i think i've made the good RUU choice from the HTC website (was this one : on the website HTC us/support/htc-10-t-mobile/news/)
And i got an error 155 (ERROR UPDATING IMAGE) can't update your android phone.
But i've checked and i'm CID: T-MOB101 | MID: 2PS620000 on my HTC 10 ...

so you can't flash ruu with a unlocked bootloader?? thats odd...people use rru to get back to stock after running custom rom and you shouldn't lock bootloader with custom firmware bc it supposedly bricks you...or is download mode still operatable?
edit: i just flashed an ruu to check and can confirm ruu worked with unlocked bootloader and s-on.

Fair enough, advice I followed at the time suggested I relock bootloader to do an RUU. Being S-ON or OFF doesn't matter.
However, since there was no RUU for my CID (H3G__001) I had to S-OFF in order to change my CID to WWE (HTC__001) to flash that RUU. My phones status at the time was S-OFF, Relocked. It worked fine. It also worked fine under those same conditions after I changed my CID to BS_US001 and MID to 2PS6500000.

Isn't the US MID 2PS650000?

The download mode works, bootloader too
I'm not able to flash with an unlocked or a locked bootloader, i've tried the RUU and the custom ROM like Leedroid for example.

I don't think it's the US MID, my IMEI is German and the phone works great on 4G / LTE in France (where I live) and i've read that 4G won't work with an US version in France, but maybe you're true and their is no RUU for my version ... (fragmentation pleasures).
Do you know how i can s-off this phone in order to change those CID which block me ? ^^' because i can't use sunshine bc no OS installed and can't flash one ...
In fact, the only think i can flash / unflash is TWRP and the recovery stock..
I just bought a brand new HTC One M9. Unfortunately, it's an AT&T model, and I can't update the firmware because I live in the UK. It is running stock AT&T android 5.1, current firmware version is 2.11.502.18. I have S-OFF. I downloaded this RUU: RUU_HIMA_UHL_L50_SENSE70_HTC_Europe_1.32.401.17_Ra dio_01.01_U11440261_56.02.50306G_2_F_release_42934 0_signed_2_4.exe from this site: http://www.androidruu.com/?developer=M9
My worry is that, if I flash the RUU, I will be downgrading. Will this be a problem? Is there a more later version of a WWE RUU available elsewhere? Also, I want to remain being S-OFF, so will flashing an RUU return the device to S-ON, or is that only manually possible?
First you need to change cid and mid(not sure what mid you have) to europe.
If you want to flash this ruu you need to flash first a firmware only zip to downgrade your firmware to 1.xx.401.xx, then you can flash this ruu.
Isn't any problem in downgrading, you can update it via ota or just find a newer ruu.
Flashing ruu's will not change your device back to s-on.
S-off is permanent.
If you want to convert the phone:
The phone needs to be plugged in to a power source ALL OF THE TIME while you do this. Make sure your phone is gsm (I think it is).
Root it,
Phone into download mode and plug into a pc.
Use htc_fastboot.exe to change the cid to HTC_001 and the mid to 0PJA10000.
Get the same version official firmware in a ZIP file but from the uk unlocked, for example x.xx.401.xxx where "x" would match YOUR CURRENT firmware on the phone NOW. 401 is the euro wwe region, which is what you want.
*You won't lose your data but you DO lose root. Unlocked bootloader and s-off do not matter.
Rename the firmware.zip file to 0PJAIMG.ZIP and copy it to an EXTERNAL SDCARD and put the SDCARD into the phone.
Boot the phone into download mode and you will see a prompt at the bottom of the screen to "press vol up to flash". Press vol up.
After about 10 mins and a few reboots with the black htc logo etc.., the phone should be sat at the lockscreen waiting for you. It is now a euro wwe on 5.1. You can now go to settings/about/software updates/ and hit "check now".
Download and install all the of the ota updates as they come until no more are left. You will now have a euro wwe at 7.0.
Easy peasy...
