In-App Installation within V4A
Requirement: Rooted, installed Busybox.
Description: Starting from FX v2.2.0.4/XHiFi v2.0.0.7, Intelligent Setup is added to V4A.
This setup replaces auto/manual installation, providing the easiest installation method.
Just follow the instructions when you first run the V4A app.
[FX/XHiFi version]
Make sure BUSYBOX Fully Installed
1. Extract and Install ViPER4Android_FX.apk
2. Run FX app, when prompt, choose Yes to install/update.
3. Choose correct CPU Type.
4. Reboot device.
Switch to Compatible Mode (To use with any other sound effects including system-provided/third party)
1. In option, switch to Compatible Mode.
2. Reboot device.
3. In sound settings > music effects > Choose anything other than V4A, because V4A effects will work just like that in compatible mode.
Switch to Safe Mode (To work with almost any music player)
1. In option, switch to Safe Mode.
2. Reboot, done.

fx is used as normal for speaker or earphone
xhifi is used for retoring the sound quality basically used for earphones

just uninstall all the things related to it even drivers
give a restart
install FX version only
driver should be cortex a8
after installation (for Viper4android FX)
for headset
master power =enable
playback gain control=enable
effect strength = moderate

and paste (there is a folder created in memory card called "viper4Android") there inside kernel and extract it there only!
and from FX
there is option in covolver
Impulse response tap it and select the option any 1 according to your need

I really do recommend this audio mod, best for music lovers, currently using NexMusic and This Mod = Ear Orgasms!!!!!

At the moment I still use viper4android 2.4.0.1 on android 6 on my sony xz. Unfortunately I have that problem that the sound drivers from the nothing turn off. If I open the app then everything goes again. (Connected via headphones)

I'm really interested in this.
Can I ask for your invaluable ideas on:
1) viper4Arise, is it any better or worse then viper4android?
2) Dolby atmos, is it any better or worse then viper4android?
3) Failing any advantages from points 1 or 2 above what setup have you chosen to go with of the 3 options you supply? I would assume viper4android, but I would like to go with what's been tried and tested by the yourself.
I'm typically interested in better voice calls both over loudspeaker & in ear, as well as better music playback levels over loudspeaker.
4) Are you aware of the Viper4Android FX module available through Magisk. Would this be the same or would you advise against this version? If it is indeed the same then perhaps this method would allow for me to try and perhaps remove the mod if need be (easier then restoring a TWRP backup as such.)

I had flashed your viper4android a few days ago - but didn't flash either of the other mods.
I was under the impression to flash only 1 of the 3 and not a mixture.
So is it ok for me to flash "2- Stereo Sound Mod with Sony Settings" now, even though I have already flashed viper4android?

I am using both, I did not enabled the Viper4android mod in Magisk, working fine.

ARISE (Viper4Android+Dolby Digital Plus) for Z2 Plus for Pie 9.0 Treble rom

its long procedure but worked for me I've used this one on AEX latest pie version and Bootleggers latest pie version plus nameless latest kernel on both rom Don't know about other Treble Roms I hope it will work with others too If anyone trys other tell me by posting this thread.....

BEWARE YOU CAN'T UNINSTALL IT YOU HAVE TO DIRTY FLASH YOUR CURRENT ROM AGAIN TO UNINSTALL IT
- First delete both audio_effects.conf file from both directories (/vendor/etc/) and (/system/etc/)
- Set SELinux to Premissive use (https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/selinux-mode-inverter-t3775271)
- Flash ClearSound Mod (https://za.gl/gsSDdb)
- Flash Viper4Arise (It will take upto 15 minutes don't be panic till that time)

Note : use aroma installer then in installer screen, select materialize version and yes to (lib workarounds)
- Reboot
- Open DD4Arise App click on power icon to enable sound effects
- Open Viper4Arise App and install driver and Reboot

If it Doesn't work like what happen in my case DD4Arise force closes and Viper4Arise driver install loop again and again so I've found an workaround :
- Open (/vendor/etc/audio_effects.conf) and find (libv4a_fx_ics.so)
- Change path to (/system/lib/soundfx/libv4a_fx_ics.so)
- Open Viper4Arise and install driver and Reboot

If still issue remains then final thing :
- Open Magisk and Go to Download section and search for Dolby Digital Plus latest module and reboot
- Open Magisk and Go to Download section and search for Viper4Android latest module and reboot
Note : this one Viper4Android version have aroma installer so use volume buttons and input according to screen instruction, same as above select materialize version by pressing volume up and yes to (lib workarounds) using volume up but there is an extra option for OnePlus which you have to decline by pressing volume down
- Open Dolby app click on power icon to enable sound effects
- Open Viper4Android App it won't ask you to install driver just check driver status and enable master switch then status will change to Processing

I did not get any aroma installer while installing the mod.

This mod doesn't improve sound and old and bugs default sound files, pie has already improved audio. All u need is to instal ZAP mod less than 1mb and get an good earphones ?

It will ask you to use aroma or traditional one and both of them have the same instruction as i've mentioned above difference, only UI is different you have to press volume up or down button to choose option in traditional installer.

Salam and hello everyone, ive edited mixer_paths_mtp from oreo 8.1 and made a magisk module for Dual Speaker SoundMod (vince) [AOSP PIE ONLY] .
read carefully, [AOSP PIE ONLY!!!]
check #2 post for latest AOSP Pie , AOSP Q and Miui11 Pie Vince updates
first flash magisk module.
(if dual speaker not working for you after reboot, proceed manual steps below)
then
paste manually the edited mixer_paths_mtp.xml into root/system/vendor/etc - using root explorer/mixplorer or other file manager
(copy the original mixer_paths_mtp.xml from root/system/vendor/etc to sd card or anywhere you like, rename the edited mixer_paths_mtpMODI.xml to mixer_paths_mtp.xml
then copy and paste it into root/system/vendor/etc. change permissions to 644 (rw- r-- r--), after that reboot your phone.)
try listen to the dual speaker.........
*its working for me, tried on latest PE and Havoc 2.7
*forgot to mention, i also flashed audio modification library too. (download from magisk) if dualspeaker already working for u guys just ignore.
Please try and give me feedback.
also careful on the volumes for u guys that
already got audio enhancer such as viper/dolby etc. installed.

For Q, u can use the September 3rd 2019 Pie mixer file below for dual speaker mods.. better use manual method for now, and i didnt test any audio enhancer yet. but can confirm that dual speaker is working...

* just a little guide to make sure your dual speaker working...
-the original mixer file size for aosp pie is 62.48kb, the file ive edited is 63.71kb, so if u see your mixer_paths_mtp.xml in root/system/vendor/etc is 62.48kb apply manual method again and reboot. u need to have the 63.71kb mixer_paths_mtp.xml file in root/system/vendor/etc to make your dual speaker working. hope this will solve your "not working dual speaker issue".

Can confirm it works on PE with DA Kernel and Audio Modification Library and Viper4Android. Really really nice mod. It really improves audio and the speaker is so loud which surprised me.

but there r a few other lines also need to be edited there too for earspeaker.
i put 90 for ear speaker.max is 95 so becareful bro. cant guarantee

ok, just tried ainur sauron.
flashed ainur sauron MK III (27.05)
checked root/system/vendor/lib/soundfx and root/system/vendor/lib64/soundfx
the files installed there.
to make it working need a manager, so i download and flashed Ainur JamesDSP v2.2 .
rebooted, open music, open JAMESDSP Manager. tweak it... and yes, its working.
*ive checked that dual speaker already working before i flash the JAMESDSP manager
*flashed without viperfx/dolby

Its not working in havoc 2.8 there one deference in file name you say mixer_path_mtp.XML in hovec 2.8 have mixer_path.XML I try to rename like havoc but not sound?

doubt regarding Viper4android

I just rooted my phone and installed 5Toos rom with viper4android
But I just installed it and even when I enabled it ...it doesn't show processing....
I enabled master limiter but still the processing shows NO ....
Somebody can you give me a tutorial ????
I searched everywhere but still no help !!!!

Remove whatever you installed completely. If there's an uninstaller, use that. Install the LegacyFX module through Magisk. Just follow the installer prompts, vol + or vol -, for which options you want. (I chose the older version 2.3.) At the end you can choose to make it a system or user app; I chose system.
