If you can manage to get it to fastboot mode, try to flash boot.img , recovery.img and then Dload the Full ROM.

Hello =)
I was wondering if someone will be able to help me with my honor 8 pro.
I rooted my device with TWRP for a couple of month and decided to get back because I was not able to update my device.
So I restart my phone and was in the TWRP recovery mode I did a wipe and uncheck twrp install app.
I decided to relock my bootloader to install stock firmware.
So it restart in the erecovzry mode (i think he is called like this) it let me download the latest firmware through the wifi but show me an error message couple of second after that.
I'm able to boot in fastboot and rescue mode (with android logo)
I try to download in "dload" folder in the SD Card but when i'm starting with three fingers method it's the same it load 5% and say redownload package (error)
I juste bought the honor 8 pro during the pre realease i'm living in france and i've order it on the official website.
I'm trying to know which model I have (Europe - Asia - Russia) because i put everything in the dload folder but it always show me an error.
Do you know a way to check which region my phone is coming from ? With S/N or IMEI for example ?
What I did it's I have unlock the bootloader (once again) and i have seen the TWRP recovery mode only one time and can't access it again.
Thanks for your help..
I can't use my device for one week now and that's quite embarassing.

I already try through the dload procedure but didn't succeed lol.
Maybe I didn't find the correct firmware .
I try several maybe 3.
I can't remember which version I was on before trying to reinstall.
I didn't do the B150 and the previous one so I have to version late.
Should I recover only the version I had when trying to reinstall it ?
Thanks a lot for your help

yes you have to be on same one or higher to flash it succesfully..
otherwise you need a rollback pkg and flash any firmware you want..
if you can find rollback pkg i suggest to you to flash lower android version of full available firmwre after your device boots up update it via ota

When you say "flash" you mean use TWRP ? or only put the firmware on the sdcard and do the 3 button method ?
Should I have the bootloader unlock or lock or doesn't matter the state of the bootloader ?

My region is EUROPEAN this one should be the asian one:
Russian is L09C10B120a
European L09C432B120a
I didn't have any backup unfortunately of the TWRP.
I was able to access to the fastboot mode
I unlock and relock the bootloader but instead of falling on the TWRP Recovery I have the message I told you before with Error.
And sometime the same error number but instead of recovery it show boot or something like that..
I don't know what's going wrong with the three button method because I correctly format the SD Card and create the folder in it and try couple of firmware and always error ..
And I try old firmware and new firmware..

Hi sorry for the late answer.
I have my bootloader locked and the original recovery.
I would like to install the tock firmware and try couple without any success.
I don't remember what was the build number because I didn't have any backup but I did a preorder so it could be the first firmware that they put in it after production.
I try couple and always say "firware not found or incompatibility" I don't really understand because they are all for Honor 8 pro and european version..
Thanks for your help..
We should create a general recovery method because many people have similar recovery issues.
In my case "dload recovery" does not work and always fails at 5% (I've tried over 10 ROMs).
As I know this means that UPDATE.APP does not match the current Honor 8 pro version (you cannot downgrade), region, modelname etc...
Please try this method..
Hello I'm Andreas,
I'm no developer but an IT Professional.
I want to root my XA2 Android 9.0.
I've alread unlocked the bootloader using the tutorial on talk.sonymobile.
By the way it's been difficult to unlock bootloader that because there've been several problems installing the adb and fastboot driver. But i did it.
I'm using Windows 10 Pro
So thats what i've done in cmd:
1. C:\platform-tools\Minimal ADB and Fastboot>adb reboot bootloader
C:\platform-tools\Minimal ADB and Fastboot>fastboot devices
CQ3001KCBM fastboot
C:\platform-tools\Minimal ADB and Fastboot>fastboot boot twrp-3.2.1-0-pioneer.img
downloading 'boot.img'...
OKAY [ 1.828s]
booting...
OKAY [ 5.281s]
finished. total time: 7.125s
and that's it.
1. Twrp does not boot so that i could continue.
2. On screen there is a promt: device can't be checked ... because unlockeed bootloader. (So that is no twrp but android).
I would appreciate any advice or hint to solve the problem.
Greetings
Andreas
hi there, I'm sitting in the same boat as you. Unfortunately I don't have a solution for you. Could you provide additional information what Android version (or Lineage version) and what Firmware you are running? Is the device soft bricked? Can you still get into fastboot? When you boot the TWPR image does adb devices return something?
Does it do the same with the most recent twrp version? Latest I have is 3.3.1-0-pioneer.
A working way

Hi Neroburner,
I think currently there is no working way for xa2 with android 9. So i flashed android 8 on my xa2 h3113 and eyery thing works fine. TWRP will boot ...
I've used flashtool from Androxyde for flashing android 8 - u can get it here on xda. I've also used twrp-3.2.2-0-pioneer.img and twrp-installer-pioneer-3.2.2-0.zip and Magisk-v19.3.zip.

Thanks for the answer!
How do I get android 8 back on my device? is it part of the firmware downloaded from xperifirm?
Does this also mean for the moment LOS16 is also out of the possible realm?
Could you also be so kind to answer my questions over here? https://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-xa2/help/xperifirm-flashtool-t3944950

Hi Neroburner,
thats much. U've come that far so u will also manage the rest of the way.
First of all i take no responsibility, u have to decide what u does or not.
If u download tools u should only use trustworthy sides.
1. The other thread from you. I think its not that much important for which country etc. the ftf file original has been used for. But if u chosse a arabic or a russian or a german etc. version maybe there will no language or similar for u be available etc. But it should work
2. Herre u can find out the different versions of andoid: https://www.android-hilfe.de/forum/...r-xperia-geraete-stand-31-12-2018.845178.html
3. links for how to flash android: https://www.android-hilfe.de/forum/...-debrande-ich-mein-sony-flashtool.708128.html
and: http://www.xperiablog.net/2018/01/2...-firmware-for-xperia-xz-premium-xz1-and-more/
4. downloads for twrp: https://eu.dl.twrp.me/pioneer/
5. how to install twrp. I used this one but i only a part this way magisk etc i install via twrp install and not with sideload commands. : https://www.**********.com/xperia-xa2-root-twrp/
6 los: https://wiki.lineageos.org/devices/pioneer
Overall i've read much about all that stuff before. So i was cable to choose which parts of the how tos i would need. maybe u should to the same.
Hagen
If the command
fastboot boot twrp.img
does not work, then try
fastboot flash boot twrp.img
Then go to adb sideload and sideload the twrp_installer.zip or install this file with twrp.
Then you will get twrp without booting it every time.
If you have any problems say me. Hope it's helps you a lot.
If you have any queries about Sony xperia XA2 you can ask me anytime.
Thank you

After 24 hours of fighting, the phone was aliwe and downgradeto MIUI 10
Hi, can I flash MIUI ROM which has this in flash_all.bat:
if [%CURRENT_ANTI_VER%] EQU [] set CURRENT_ANTI_VER=0
when my current ROM after running "fastboot getvar anti" returns 1?
Will MiFlash prevent me from bricking Redmi Note 8 Pro with returning an error because of anti rollback?
P.S.: If I download my current rom in fastboot version there is also CURRENT_ANTI_VER=0 so I truly do not understand why it returns 1 after that command.
When I tried to use MIFlash to do this, it just returned an error without bricking the device.
However, I bricked my RN8P anyway with foolish persistence and paid $26 US to have it restored to MIUI V10.4.2.0 from some installed V11 (don't have it on my PC), after trying to downgrade with TWRP to flash the MIUI V10.4.2.0 zip file. Jesus, nothing but the LED light functioned. Like you, the installed VER was A_V at 1, while the ROM to be installed was at 0.
Is it possible to install a custom ROM that allows downgrades and then fastboot flash_all.bat with a lower version MIUI ROM that was initially installed? Sure as hell not going to try this, but it is a question that might be successfully answered. Sorry for not being of help for you.
Have Global V, very pleased with RN8P and MIUI V10.4.2.0.

Hello, my friend.
Downgrading Redmi Note 8 pro is very easy. I also struggled at first trying to find the safest method to downgrade and got stuck on " Anti Roll Back Protection" which on my device was " 1 " and all the previous consecutive roms had " Anti Roll Back Protection " value which was " 0 ". So didn't know what to do. but after some research, I found out that it was not a big issue.
You just need to use the fastboot method. Just extract the fastboot rom in the C drive and click on the " flash-all.bat " It will not brick your device. I tried it on my Redmi Note 8 Pro Global version
Also MiFlash will prevent you from downgrading if you have anti-var value less then your device value, which is the case for all the roms.

Yeah, exactly as simple as that.
Just put your device in fastboot mode, I am pretty sure you know how to do that.
Extract the fastboot room directly in the C drive. Just click on the flash-all.bat file. It will start flashing the rom and will take about 8 to 10 minutes.
Its literally a one click installation and is even easier than using MiFlash tool. Try it out and tell me if it works

And that method with fastboot will remain my bootloader unlocked? And will it wipe everythting from phone?
Can't give you the web page, but there are more than 1 to give help (for money), and you can be vulnerable to cheats and viruses. My guy was in the Ukraine, very honest and helped me more than once. Just Google with different words until you find what you need. Could take some time, just be patient.

Do I need to unclok boot loader
I studied some threads on here and avoided a brick by not flashing the red 6 or 6 pro boot.img .
Ok so it's really easy first unlock your bootloader. It's an fastboot command .
fastboot flashing unlock
That will factory reset your phone so if you have stuff to backup do it first . Once you boot back up just skip everything to home screen . Go back to fastboot mode , adb reboot fastboot .
Download this magisk patched boot img
patched boot for v4.11 NX669S-J.zip
drive.google.com
Unzip it and run the .bat when you are in fastboot mode .
It took me to a factory reset , do that and you'll get out of bootloop.
Now you may want to download magisk 23.zip . Just rename it magisk 23.apk and install .
There you go root .
I got the file from the 6s pro telegram group
Hi. Can u share the telegram group link? Ur device on global rom or CN?
