As we all know the sound quality when you take a video is terrible... Is there anyway to edit the video to fix the sound, or is there something that can be done to have good sound quality when taking a new video???
Editing the video after its taken would be pointless, you can't increase the quality once its already recorded. The only thing I can think of is being sure to use the highest recording quality setting. I'm not sure if it helps the audio quality any though. We are limited my the quality of the microphone that comes with the phone.
Hi mates,
did some of you notes the poor audio when recording Videos ?
I tried several times, and if the video is recording a normal voices, friends, pets.. etc at home or out the sound looks good and clear
but when I tried to record video in a club or in front of a beach bar all the videos are with poor audio
I compared them with my friends galaxy S3 who was with me on the sea side, and his videos were all with perfect quality - video and audio
even played on the computer after that.
i thought that no one can beat my HOX camera, but his night photos looks also better and much more lighter compared to mine which are yellow and dark
any ideas ?
I attend a lot of concerts and whenever I record video the picture is quite decent but the sound quality is awful. It seems like the recorded sound level is too high (too much gain), so the sound is very much distorted.
It is not related with the rom, I'm using RSK team Special Edition ROM and I had the same issue on stock Froyo.
Is there any way to fix this or can someone recommend an app to get better sound in videos?
thanks
My SGH-M919 is really odd when it comes to recording videos.
Pictures are okay, but video quality is a bit terrible.
When I record a video, it takes a while for it to begin recording...normal, I've seen this happen on other Android devices.
As I'm recording, the video looks okay, no choppiness, yet.
When the recording stops and the playback starts.. the video looks pixelated.
The only time the video looks high quality is when the camera is still.. as soon as the camera moves.. it becomes pixelated.. but, then as the camera is settled.. it forms back into a high quality video.. move it again.. pixelated.
I have the video settings set on 'Standard,' as opposed to 'Low' on Snapchat, but that does not help.
Does anyone know what's going on? Should I enable/disable anything in the developer options? I've noticed this on Snapchats received by other Android users in my contact list, but iOS 4.x.x+ devices are all clear.
Any help/troubleshoot is appreciated!
If y'all need a video, lemme know and I'll try to send one.
Same here, iOS users are always clear, Android is the same as your issue and the same with me.. I would like to have this fixed as well!!

That's what I had thought lol, I hope snapchat improves in quality for Android devices

Any way to change the .mkv recording to .mpg4 when shooting video with stock camera app? This is a PIA when trying to use Videos you've shot with other apps. I'd just roll with the Google Camera but there's no silent option that I've found.
You should disable " High res audio" to record in with a normal extention.

You sir are a legend!!! Have you done any comparative testing by chance with the High Res on vs Off?
I just tested this and the High Res Audio isn't a gimmick. The **** is fire. If a person was shooting something that would edit later they want this. If a person was shooting clips or something for social media or something else they could pass and it is still great.

He<y There, is there any chance to post somewhere a mkv recorded with the 10 in some loud clubs or something?
I am really trying to find out if it is better, or close even to the 4mics of the 950xl Lumia (distortion free audio recording)
Can you please go to a club and record some music ?

The only club I occupy is the gym lol but here is an album I uploaded with myself in the woods. There are multiple videos all recorded with High Res Audio. https://plus.google.com/+BrandonBuhler/posts/f5g3ndNXZve It picks up crazy detail in the ambient sounds. In some of the water shots I am quite a ways away but it's still awesome. I tested outside earlier and the main differences is that the back ground audio is clearer and more detailed. If I get out today in a crowded area I'll grab a few samples as comparison. I know it won't be the same as a loud club but it's probably the best I can do. :good:
This guy pretty much literally shoves the phone into the speaker grill, watch from 01:40

Probably in the default.acc never checked for it but I do know other 4k video camera apps have unlimited time.

it seems that if you go back to 1080P you won't have this limitation, only with 4k ...Well I can live with this...
