Wondering does anyone know the file dependencies for system/bin/audioserver such as any lib*.so or hal files in Oreo 8.1. I'm trying to get axon 7s Dolby atmos to work on other ROMs aside from NOS.

i can get viper to work without issues on say liquid remix or aosip but every time installing the atmos, due to audioserver, it results in bootloop. atmos oreo only works on NOS and z-unleashed.

Hey guys,
I am currently on an aosp ROM based on android 8.0 . I can't for the life of me get guitardedheroes viper audio mod to work, though it worked just fine on dp4 . I was wondering if anyone has had success installing a similar equalizer or audiomod on oreo yet?

Did this work without setting SE Linux to permissive? So far Dolby mods that worked on Nougat leaving SE Linux alone do not work on Oreo.

On my nexus 5x with magisk v14 Dolby digital plus work selinux permissive others Dolby mod atmos don't work crash and freeze:crying:
It works just requires a modified boot image and see Linux permissive I use the selinux app and elemental kernel. Works for me

* This is the invention from mr. AKAVKL / AKA_VKL. I just modified some script in it to remove SELinux conversion.
* I've tested on LineageOS 15.1 (Oreo) and LineageOS 16 (Pie) based ROMs and rooted using Magisk, it runs fine.
* Flash it with your own risk, don't blame me if it's not working for you, always backup your data before trying something new, obviously.

I'm running the latest 08/30 build of Dolby Atmos by zackptg5 & guitardedhero on crDroid 08/17 with Magisk 16.7. Not sure if Atmos or Plus is supposed to be better, they both sound great to me.

this mod is ported from the one you mentioned.
if you see what's inside the zip file, you'll see it's from the same source, but modded by AKAVKL.
Is there any original thread from the dev AKAVKL?

Cool, thanks. Works on my redmi note 5pro youth RR oreo, now hopefully audio modification library module will be updated to support this and viper fx together. At the moment only one can be active at a time

you should remove it because it's useless.
you can use custom equalizer in Dolby Digital Plus app too.

No need to remove it. Just switch off the Audio fx.Dolby to be active requires all other equaliser to to switched off.

I haven't tried in Pie yet, since i'm not using Mix for a week now, lol.
I'm using my other phone (Nova 2s) now, but i'll back to Mix next week, will test Dolby and i will see if i can upgrade GPU Driver to higher version.
It is working fine (so far) on Oneplus 3T. Official LOS 15.1 and magisk 17.1 stable build.
I had bootloop on first reboot, then I forced reboot and it worked. :good:
Edit: it stopped processing after a short while. I tried to reboot device but went again in bootloop rebooting in recovery mode. Restoring my backup fixed everything. Any suggestion?
(I know this mod is not for my device).

i have been using aosp extended nougat build since long because i had dolby atmos working on it. i tried to move to oreo roms many times but always failed due to its compatibility issues with dolby atmos.
yesterday i was able to get dolby atmos on aosp extended v5.8 oreo 8.1.0 SDK 27. it is working good so far.

Bootloop everytime
i tried on aex official and managed to get it working . I was using magisk manager 16.3 and the 15 mb dolby black and cheese edition . Download it and try yourself in magisk . if it bootloops use recovery magisk manager to uninstall the module . Always loved dolby for superb clarity with superb loudness

Tried hard but couple not get dolby work on Android pie. then I came across an music player app Music 3D surround available on Playstore. Sound effects are awesome. Non playstore link is here

I got it to install but Dolby Atmos doesnt open it closes immediately itself.
