I was using my HTC desire from last one year & it was working fine untill I faced a hanging issue when I was checking my facebook account it stops all of sudden the battery was showing 40% that time I was not able to do anything. Then I do a soft reset by pressing volume down & power button at the same time, the phone restarts and when the HTC logo came all of sudden the phone shuts down and doesn't start after it.
Whenever connected to charger an orange light blinks instead of continuous. I have shown to various mobile repairing shops & also have checked with battery changing but no response at all. Please guys help me to get out of this issue. I love my phone very much

Hi
I gave my HTC ONE X (a UK version on Orange/EE) to my dad as I had an upgrade and factory reset it. I had not done anything to the device other than standard use, apps calls messages etc.
I then tried to boot it up (without the SIM in it) and nothing. Pressed the power button again, a few attempts later I got the screen on. It then went blank. Several attempts later got to a flashing white loading screen then blackness.
Plugged in charger and get an orange blinking LED wouldnt power up. Have tried Power and the Volume Down key but nothing. Plugged into laptop with HTC charger and a Samsung charger and its not found. All I get is the bell sound continually as if it finds it then loses it - this happens about 4 or 5 chimes then stops and nothing.
Any advice. Complete newbie seeking some human kindness (and easy to follow guide if possible!)
Really hope someone can help or offer advice where to go next with this as this was his means of tracking me in tomorrows London Marathon!!!
Thanks in advance!
Jeff
So its died a day ago and i tried to charge it all day from yesterday and nothing happened.
But, 10 min ago I read that I should tried to connect it to my pc, and i pressed the power button and the volume down and when I did, my pc told me that its installing drivers.. (like most of the time when you plug USB device to your pc) but its failed..
is there any way to revive my phone?
Are you sure its dead. Do you see the charging indicator light up whilst charging? The HOX has a history of dead display so it might be that.

Hey same thing happened with my HTC One X today too. Installed a new Custom ROM which was working perfectly fine untill I drained the battery completely. Now the phone wont charge, nor respond to any combination of keys I press.
Any clue?
And is this what is referred to as bricking?

Hi,
My Desire was working perfectly until 2 days ago.
I was out cycling and had sports tracker and music on.I noticed at halfway that it was hot.I thought maybe it was because it was sunny, but on the way back it ran out of battery, which was unusual.
When I got home I discovered that I couldn't charge or turn on the phone. It had a red flashing light when plugged in.I read to do the volume buttons and power button default to restart. This worked and I can turn on the phone and charge, but the whole phone is really hot, whether the screen is on or not. When it gets very hot it flashes red then green alternately.
Is there anything I can do,or is my phone toast?
Thanks for any help.

Yesterday night while I was using my HTC DESIRE 820 my phone suddenly switched off and it turned on by itself only after about an hour...
I plugged it ito charge before I went to sleep and woke up to find my screen completely blank but he LED notification light still shows green( which means its charged 100%) even after I removed it from the plug point...I left the phone like that and returned in the evening to find the phone still in the same condition!
Im panicking! Should I take my phone to the service center immediately????
uhh... YES.
Wonder if..
Hi, just wondering if you were helped by this Problem? I have an HTC ALCATEL A564C, I was working on it's OS, did not touched it for a month, just now I tried turning it on and even hardreset button's its on but black screen, last time I could go to twrp menu.. Can anyone help me please.
Hy everyone, first post here.
I've browsed the internet and this forum for a while now and haven't found a fix for this yet, so I've registered in order to ask if anybody has a clue how to fix the phone of my gf.
A little background story: The phone worked ~a year ago and has not been used since then, my gf lost her phone and wanted to use this one until she can afford a new one.
BUT sadly the phone doesn't cooperate.
After switching it on it vibrates once and shows either an illuminated black screen or the HTC logo with white background for around 10 seconds, then fades to black and repeats the process over and over.
Pressing any hardware buttons in every imaginable combination during any state of the phones starting process (before/during boot, removing and reinserting battery...) doesn't change anything at all.
Pluggin the phone into an usb port of my pc will make the phone repeat the procedure after a random amount of time.
Plugging the phone into a wall socket will make it show the battery charging bar for a few seconds and then repeat the above mentioned procedure.
The PC doesn't seem to recognize the phone (Im on windows 10, have not found anything in device manager).
There has never been any try to flash or root the phone, everything is stock
.
Hope I have not made any major language mistakes,
Huge thanks in advance for any help regarding my problem.
