Question for OB 3 users - OnePlus 5T Questions & Answers

I'm currently on the stable 5.0.3 build but am interested in the beta builds. Just have a couple of questions.
1) Can I just flash the ob3 zip in the stock recovery without wiping all of my data?
2) Does ob3 still have the audio tuner working with Bluetooth devices?

You can flash it through stock recovery but may wipe data as your switching from stable to beta.
Audio tuner working for me

Well I'll try it later. I know going from beta to stable you have to wipe data. Was hoping someone has gone from stable Oreo to beta could chime in whether or not wiping data is required.

I flashed from stock 5.0.3 to beta with no issues.

Huh. Well that changes things. That's the main reason I want to switch to the beta's. I have an eq app installed and it works, just not very well.

I dont have Equalizer with BT headset too (JBL T110BT)

They were working on Nougat... Dunno

Will try with some other BT headset as soon as I manage to get it.

I'm only using it for streaming to my truck.

[Q] Speaker and Headphone volumes problem

I have installed Cyanogenmod 11 M4 on my HTC ONe X, didn't update to the M5 update as it was crashing repeatedly with that.
One major problem that I have encountered since installing this ROM, is that the volume of both the speakers and headphones are barely audible even on full volume.
Hoping for a solution for this problem

Works perfectly just make sure you add it as a system app using lucky patcher etc or the affects wont stay on.
Works perfectly with mine. Just install it and it is good. Its onky good for the external speaker to increase bass. The headphone jack quality is already very good.

As the person above stated, it seems to work fine and settings stick, just by installing as a normal app.

Are you using it to use the effects settings and EQ, or because you want to improve the output quality? If it's the latter, don't bother.
Is this helping also with hissing sound in the headsets?

Nope, the hissing is still there. I'm using Viper4Android and eXtremeBeats and those make a good sounding mobile sound great (if you get the settings right in Viper)!
works great also on lollipop
Viper4android tested on Lg G3 with bumper lollipop v20d
Viper4android flashed with TWRP + SELinuxMode setted to "permissive"

Have it all going now thanks ?
I have it working on all music apps with a headset. Flawlessly.. But.....
Using the phone speaker, the sound drops off after 25-30 seconds. Any app. You name it
Pretty sure it's Viper. Anybody knows how can I revert the installation?
I flashed it on TWRP and now even uninstalling the driver the sound still drops.
I will reflash the Chupa chups ROM that I'm using to test if it's a problem with the phone

If you flashed it as a system app you will have to remove it manually with system app remove or the likes, don't forget to wipe data before uninstalling

I think I know what is causing this. Together with the apk I flashed some soundfx lib files that were on the viper4android topic.
I couldn't revert this sound drop with dirty flashes of Chupa chups, which, probably doesn't revert android lib files.
I'm saying that because the phone was working good before the viper flashing. At least I could play a 3 minute video straight without a sound drop.
Can't point if this is truly the problem. I will do a normal flash to see if it reverts or not. Going to bed
Have you guys ever heard about these sound drops? The problem is that I can miss notifications and alarms with that. Damn it.

Theres some zip files in the offical viper4android thread, 3 infact, cant remember what post it was.
You need to flash the 3 files, then it should be working.
else try Shuttle Player, also a good player but not such a hassle.

[Q] Microphone sensitivity is too damn high. All video and voice recordings suck!

Title says it all.
I am running SlimKat 4.4.4. build 7.
Problem has been happening since SlimKat 4.4.3, and even on W03 Slimkat V20 and V23.
I cannot find anyway of adjusting the gain on the mic. Calls are fine, but if I record a video or just run the voice recorder app, its super distorted.
I've read that flashing the Plasma kernel will let me run apps that can adjust the gain, but Plasma is only for 4.3.X
Any advice is much appreciated.

Just the most recent Agni kernel will work?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2311094
Does it matter I am on the ATT note 2?
Will flashing the kernel be an issue or do I need to reflash the rom as well?

When I do that, I get Android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly, repeatedly.
I reboot the phone and under "About Phone" it still has the stock Slimkat kernel

[Q] MIUI Rom - Gapps and Headphone Bug

Hello guys... First of all, this rom is Awesome, i appreciate the developer (whoever it is)...
The MIUI rom is not working for me with Gapps flashed, but it is working very well alone..... i can,t say what happens after flashing Gapps..
Also, i've found an annoying bug... The Headphones weren't working, but after after adjusting ringtone sound, alarm sound etc., it started working,
But the problem is that the speakers are also working:cyclops:, both are working simultaneously....so, i can't enjoy my music alone..
Am i alone experiencing these bugs, or there is anyone experiencing the same????
I really love this Rom and want to use it as a daily driver, so i request the developers to solve this problem......:fingers-crossed:

MIUI 10 install guide.. anyone tried this ? does it work ?

Hello
Anyone tried following the instructions in the link below ?
https://www.xda-developers.com/miui-10-xiaomi-mi-mix-2s-xiaomi-mi-6-xiaomi-redmi-note-5-pro/
If so, does it work ?
I am a bit nervous to try it, but am desperate to give it a go
Regards
Mark
Rom works fine.
The gapps however doesn't work for me. I had to use Google installer (in that same gapps thread the portal takes you and on page 3) to get my Google apps running

I don't record videos so I wouldn't know. Either way there's a magisk module that fixes this in the guides and general section
You installed global beta or China beta? Is root, magisk and everything still working?
I suppose so, at the end it's always Oreo rom..
