Folks,
I have a Samsung i780 with a dual sim installed. each time I switch the SIM card by SW, all my mail accounts disapears. The switching by SW only does a reboot to phone module (not do device), but appears a message stating "SIM card changed, phone will be reinitialized) and then the mail account disapears.
Any clue on why this happens ? I believe there is a proprietary Samsung service running on WM6 that produces this behavior.
Any help will be appreciated.
Best Regards to all
How did you get 2 sim cards on the i780? what did you use to achieve that?

I use a SIM card that supports up to 6 numbers on the same SIM.
Hey guys if i get the invalid sim card message does that mean I must get a new sim card? If so how much would this cost me?

The sim card that is required for our devices to be able to use wifi calling is labeled with a TM9177 (newer sim card) so if you have a TM9073 (older sim card) you need to update that at your local T-Mobile store. it didnt cost me anything. they replaced it with no problems at all.

I've been seeing a major bug lately with WiFi calling. Sometimes (seemingly at random, though always when I am trying to connect to a WiFi after being connected to cell network) the icon will turn RED and give me the dreaded SIM error. Generally this is fixable with a reboot. So if you have a TM9177 SIM and for some reason you are getting the SIM Error code then try a reboot first.
Of course if you have an older SIM then yes, you need to get a new SIM. Call TMO first and tell them to put a note on your account that you are able to receive a free SIM. Otherwise some of the more A-Holeish stores may try and charge you 20 dollars.
No problem so far with wifi calling on my phone.
just goto your local t-mobile store and tell them to change your old card for a new one. they know what to do. and it's free.

Curiosity....what ROM are you using? I wonder if the wifi calling bugs I'm seeing are a ROM issue...
Thank you guys, I will call them first in head of time and then go to the mall. Thank you all!
can anyone still receive calls if they disable the sim slot, using i9192.
The problem.
I have 2 sim card
A = NWmobile
B = China Unicom
whether i put sim A in slot 1 or 2, and having sim B in the other slot, if I disable sim A, somehow calls just comes through, if I do the same with sim B and disable it, the calls does not come through, is it possible this is related to the network, since this only happens with sim A, it does not seem to be the problem with the phone but the sim A.
Has anyone tried this and have the same problem.

Are you also from HK? I got similar SIM cards as yours: NWmobile and China Mobile. If I disable the SIM card, the call cannot go through and it is forwarded to the voicemail.

can you dial ##21# for your nwmobile sim, then disable the sim card.
then try to call it and see what happens.

Same plan as yours.
My China Mobile card has no roaming and so I switch it off when I am in HK. When I travel in China I do the vice versa.
I never enable "Dual SIM ALWAYS ON"

do you think it's the problem with the phone or card, it only happens with the nw card.

Ooops my China Mobile card has only 1 number and enabling SIM ALWAYS ON is meaningless since there is no service.
Perhaps you can call forward your NWM to CHU and vice versa when you cross the border as a quick fix. Just add the **21* and ##21# in the phonebook. Not nice but a temporary solution.

I have no idea. To test the NWM card you can put it onto another brand of DUAL SIM phone.
You can also replace the CHU card by another local calling card and see if the same behaviour persists.

I think i've sorted it out, it turns out that the "dual sim always on" function had a affect on my china unicom card, and keeps getting a read out fail if i tried to enable it, probably because it does not have a call forwarding function.
I put two different cards in the phone and cleared both cards of all call forwarding, then turn on the "dual sim always on", and it comes out normal, previous I always get fail, now I then turn the "dual sim always on" off, then use both nwmobile and china unicom, now it works normal, as long as I dont touch the always on function on with the china unicom.
thanks for all the help
Hello guys!
I have a phablet Cube WP 10 with a locked SIM card (No service status). I already installed InteropTools_2.0.95.0 and searched in the registry of OS using the Interop Registry browser, but couldn't find any parameter related with a the SIM card and its status.
What should I do to unlock the SIM? May be there is another trick without using the registry?
Attention! Added information: The SIM card works with another phone and this phone sees it, but can't use the cell network - "No service" when calling...
Which carrier is the sim card from? What do you mean sim card lock? SIM card has a pin enabled?
Try putting the sime card into another phone yet?
You won't unlock locked phone to use SIM from another carrier by modifying registry. There is no such a thing.

No service

If you purchased your cube for a specific operator, you must call this operator to have the unlock code.

I thought the Cube WP was an unlocked device.
If the SIM sees no network that means the sim is not compatible. I am not sure what the problem is exactly.
I've changed current SIM card to the SIM card of another cell-operator, but nothing has changed. And what is important to mention, I can't find any cell-network of my region using the network search. May be it's some kind of lock?

maybe, simply the phablet has a hardware issue - most probably antenna has been disconnected from the motherboard
I have sim cards that if they are deactivated will get no service when inserted into a valid phone they can work on. Are you using an active sim? If so maybe look at this link as there are some service codes to try maybe...but make sure to read any warnings. Not sure if any of them work either.

Both these sim cards are active because they works with other phones.
Thanks for this link, but these codes destined for Android OS and don't work on WM10 except first one.
Wad worth a shot anyway.
Hi, I'm using Galaxy s21fe running the latest one UI available, and for some reason I cannot set a SIM card for data connection and the other for calls, there's just a Primary SIM, which do both with no choice to make a SIM for just one use, it's data and call for one SIM only, how can this be fixed?
You can select the use of the SIM card in the settings in the SIM card manager, only when you turn on data transmission in the phone and both SIM cards are active.

Sorry, i don't understand what you mean
This is the way Samsung phones work - you can't set one for data and one for calls like you can on the Pixel or iPhone.
