Due to problems with wifi of my zenfone 2 I installed last version of asus firmware, but now I am blocked because I can't select a wifi network (button + doesn't work and no wifi network is shown) and I can't complete the first boot with the new firmware. I read how to install twrp recovery in order to try with the installation of a non-asus firmware, but all guides I found require to set debug mode on phone and clearly I can't do it. How can I try to install an alternative firmware with phone in this condition ? Thanks.

Folks,
After install the image, Thunder Lite (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2415582) something went down on my Note 2, I re-installed the original image for international phone, that by the way is working perfecly in another note 2,
Every time that the I turn on the device its works well but when the screen turn off and the device stuck, and only pressing home and power button, to force the restart the device comes back.
In the beggining the the led was in red collor, after I install the original PIT file and the bootloader file, the led turned off but the device keeps with the same behavior. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1896696
I raise the time to turn off the screen, and the device keeps working until turn off the screen.
I am trying at least back to original installing the OTA image, but the problem didnt solve.
please I need to know hoe to solve this or at least how to start to solve this.

Another thing, seems to me that the USB debugging is not working.
Using the Note2 Toolkit the cell phone is not detecting, even with usb debugging turned on.
Into download mode shows to me:
ODIN MODE
PRODUCT NAME: GT-N7100
CUSTOM BINARY DOWNLOAD: YES (6 COUNTS)
CURRENT BINARY: CUSTOM
SYSTEM STATUS: CUSTOM
At first did u try to make a clean installation without user data?
If the problem persists you can flash a factory firmware: DOWNLOAD_N7100XXDLJ2_OXA_FACTORY. If you try this method don't forget to upgrade to a recent firmware. (protection against exynos exploit & sds).

I had stock installed, rooted and twrp install, I downloaded the update and now it only boots into twrp. So i tried factory reset and restoring a backup I had, still nothing. Just now I pressed advanced wipe everything except SD Card, now I have no OS And no backup to restore.
For some reason twrp doesn't recognise any micro sd card I put in, says it cant mount them.
I can't get adb working whilst in recovery. I just want to go back to stock.
Also holding down vol down and up to get into download mode doesn't work.
Thanks for any advice.
Got it into download mode now somehow (rebooting from twrp instead of cold boot) and downloading the stock firmware from LG mobile support tool.

1. Turn off the tablet. (from twrp menu )
2. Push vol+ and vol- same time.
3. Insert usb cable.
4. Release both buttons. Now you should be in download mode.
hi mike_1983, but have you solved with this method?

I was in same situation. And i solved installing stock room with LG Mobile Launcher.
Go in download mode, and then follow this method: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2471370 is 100% working.
dont update the official rom if you re rooted or you have a custom recovery, they ll brick your tablet. If you have access to recovery you can install a custom rom and there is no need to go back to full stock (unless ofc you want to keep the stock rom in which case you need to flash it using the lg mobile support tool)
I think I did it by holding down vol up and vol down whilst in twrp, then pressing reboot, system (or perhaps pressing reboot system then holding them down). I'm not sure if the usb cable was plugged in or not. I tried holding down vol up and down from powered off, but it seemed to still always go into twrp.
Then you need B2CAppSetup.exe which is LGMobile Support Tool, you can then download the stock rom, it overwrites everything, like recovery and root.
Made the same mistake : said yes when the tablet proposed me to update. Booted in TWRP.
Tried to flash with support tool but it stops at 95% and tells me in german (!) to remove the battery and try again... I've tried many times (without removing the battery obviously), just the same.
And now I can't get out of the download mode. Everytime I plug the USB cable, it goes to download mode.
Any suggestion ?
EDIT :
I even tried this method : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2622777
and it stops giving me a decompression error...
Edit 2 : it finally uncomressed corectly but i'm still stucked at 95% when installing : WPARAM_UPGRADE_ERROR
EDIT 3 :
Using the method http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2622777 and leaving default parameters : Korean language and country it finaly worked with the V50010A_00.kdz firmware.
My lg g pad is finally booting ! (the battery is totally drained)
Thanks to all !

It would be better not to flash those kdz files.
You could have asked here before proceeding, but it doesn't matter now.
For the topic that you sent,I'm not sure that it will work.
So,can enter in Download mode (Click on it to see how to enter)
If you can,please reply.

[SOLVED]
went back to stock recovery and side loaded the full 1.4 gb rom i will leave a link for tutorial that i used, i wanted to get back to complete stock and this was the one use
"https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/guide-how-to-unroot-your-oneplus-3-and-go-back-completely-to-stock.456232/"
When you have TWRP you have to install full zip, not simply the eval OTA zip

Flash the stock recovery.
Get stock recovery from downloads.oneplus.net
I cant seem to flash the stock recovery. The device is not visible in adb devices or fastboot devices. im facing the same issue.
If you are using TWRP 3.0.4-0 - try a hard boot...hold down the power button for 20s...wait 20s, power it back on.

easy solution. Boot into fastboot
download this tool.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-3/development/toolkit-oneplus-3-toolkit-unlock-t3398799
if newest version isnt working, download an older version with older twrp
than unzip the tool and run the .bat file and install twrp.
Thats it
There are many posts on Nougat not working with official TWRP (based on 6.0 build). Try booting into stock recovery. performing a system settings reset, then booting into fastboot and run the adb command, <fastboot boot TWRP-3.0.2-1.28.img>. From there you can do virtually anything you need to do. I recommend at least using a modified version of TWRP (such as 1.28). This has been posted many times before, please try and do a search for the answers first, it will help tremendously. Thanks

i had the same problem on my rooted OP3 when i used TWRP 3.0.2-1 , it worked to flash the full 4.0.1 rom but failed for everything else, flashing latest verion of twrp fixed it for me
Got the same problem (unrooted phone + device state locked, cannot access recover, but can access fastboot) with an added "benefit", USB debugging mode was off before it all went crashing and burning.
How to access my phone via PC? (all the guides I've found assume I had USB debugging mode on before the phone got soft-bricked, but as a normal phone user who never installed anything custom, I've never figured it is A MUST BE ON function).
Or simpler question - what tool to use to turn on the USB debugging mode? (if that is at all possible?)

Noted that you solved your issue, but this post is about the new version of TWRP. Version 3.0.3 is available on twrp.me and it works with Nougat.

Gave up trying and booked a session with OP technicians Will see how it goes in a week.
I've bought this phone only few days ago. Connected to wifi I started to install the updates included the OTA of Android Pie. After doing that my phone started to show a important wifi error. It could connect to my hotspot wifi (made with my second phone) but not to home wifi and work wifi. After trying to reset wifi settings, wipe data,... I decided to try to go back to Oreo using MIflashtool and the last Android One Rom available on miui english site.
I unlocked bootloader and put the phone in edl mode. I flashed the rom with clear all option active.
Now the phone, if it is tried to be power on, show the "Android One" logo and then it loop reboot.
I can go to fastboot, edl, can install twrp etc...
What should I do?
Really Thanks

Thanks for the help. Probably Xiaomi did something "wrong" with the Android Pie Update. I had to wait till the fastboot .tgz file of Android Pie and flash it trough Miflash. Now it rebooted correctly.
Thanks anyway for your help
