Some people may have never heard of developermenu.efi, it's an efi application Microsoft mostly uses on test devices which allows you to do many things, here are the main highlights:
Note: if some people have a problem with getting this efi to display something, please use this one: https://forum.xda-developers.com/windows-10-mobile/exe-binaries-binaries-w10m-oem-kit-t3476453
Enter Mass Storage mode directly on the phone without the need of a computer.
Delete and dump the UEFI variable storage from the phone (be careful with this you can easily cause problems).
Tickle the battery to 0% (useful for re-calibration).
This EFI application is test signed, this means you must run it on an unlocked device.

It's also the latest available (from 15254.158).
You can create a new entry in BCD for a new bootapplication and reference it in the place you did put the efi. You also must make sure you turn on nointegritychecks on it because it's test signed.
For reference here's what Microsoft actually does to BCD when installing it (aside from nointegritychecks):
You must place the files attached in EFIESP\windows\system32\boot\
Provided are also the latest bmpx files which enables graphical status when you're in mass storage (also works when switched using WPInternals).
L630DS work fine but I don't see anythynk, just black screen.
PS: tried use different devmenu efi(from this post) and it work and display.

What doesn't display? The menu or when you enter the mass storage section? That efi should defintely work except maybe on rs2+, didn't check everything but I vaguely remember MS breaking feature manifest policies with rs2.

I can't actually make a tutorial now because each people have their own way of loading entries from bootmgr, but I have planned making a whole post about bootmgr and bcd entries and how to have multiple of them on a lumia device in the future, afterwards sure.
Please make tutorial using bcdedit
I have BSOD on 950
UPD: My fault, i had efi file on wrong partition
So I do have a question on this, it is the 'Reset your phone' inside "About" that we use to open this, right? (running 10586 on a htc one m8, trying to follow your guide on unlocking the bootloader)
update: nevermind, its a hard reset and not a factory reset

I made this tool originally for SonyEricsson Xperia X10, but have now modified it to work for our Galaxy Tab, best suited for deodexed ROMs. I hope it will make life a little easier when modifying files on the device. It uses ADB to pull and push files, so users don't need to remember long command prompt/terminal emulator commands anymore. It also has a nifty little application manager, which allows for quick installation, backup, and removal of both pre and self -installed software. It has a LogCat function to read and save logs on the go when investigating errors, as well as functionality to decompile/recompile, sign and zipalign APKs and JARs.

Instructions:
1. Extract archive.
2. Run GalaxyTabModTool.jar
Note: Make sure your phone is connected in debug mode, you have root privileges, and unsecured your device's shell. The application will try to unsecure your shell if you haven't already, but worst case scenario you might have to do this manually. Also, the manage ROMs functionality is still experimental and has therefore been disabled.
If you have problems, let me know and I will try to sort them out with you. Keep in mind that often when a modification goes wrong, you can simply push back the original files and reboot. So keep backups handy!

Yeah you are correct. Some files need to have dependencies attached for APKTool to extract properly. I will try and implement this functionality in next version.
This is very useful and will definitely save a lot of time during post-flash setup
Thank you

Try to create a folder named Themes in phone memory. AN error will appear preventing you from doing this.
Warning : do not create this folder by connecting your phone to computer . This will put your phone in reboot loops.
I just flashed my phone after doing that...
Maybe chance to repair via *.pfs Deletelist... next time...
Not sure what exact happens. As few Security thingies stronger...
Boot Cycle is bad to handle...
Maybe S8600 easier, as full Qualcomm... maybe then FTM is possible...
Then maybe access to filesystem possible... to repair... MAYBE.
Best Regards

I too created a "Themes" folder on my phone using my computer whilst connected in debug mode however I found it had changed to "New Folder" a bit later when trying to copy a theme in there...
Strange behavior indeed.

Anybody can replicate ChatON can't add buddy from Android version of ChatON?
I can't add any contact from any of my friends that's using ChatON for Android.
It's prohibited to create folder named "Themes" in the phone memory directly on the headset because that folder is protected and hidden, because there are themes downloaded from Samsung Apps (and they are encrypted). So they are available only in menu: Settings - Display - Theme. But it's possible to create that folder connecting the phone to computer in Kies Mode (by default) and put there our themes in smt file. And then folder will be visible in My files, themes (smt files) will be there, and it's possible to send them to someone else via Bluetooth etc.
It's not a bug, bada has protected that name for a new directory as 'Themes' is used as a system directory by the OS.
If you use Windows 8, you may miss the options in the Start menu such as shut down, restart, logout, etc. Well, my program brings them back! Once installed, you can click in the bottom left corner of the screen (or use the Win+X keyboard combination), then select Shut down from the menu. This brings up a program with the following options:
Shut down
Sleep
Restart
Sign out
Switch user
Lock

Just download it from the link below, extract it to wherever, then run Setup.exe
I have tested it, and I've had a friend test it, and it works. If it doesn't work for you, please tell me, and I will try to help out as best as I can.
UPDATE: Since uploading this, I've tested it on another PC, and the shortcut isn't being created. I am looking into this, but in the meantime, you can install my program, then use WinAero's Win-X Menu Editor to add a shortcut to the menu. You can download the Win-X Menu Editor from here: http://winaero.com/download.php?view.21
Could you please provide some more info on how this works? Hacking the Win+X menu, that's awesome... but please don't just give us an opaque binary that I'm going to have to decompile before I can be sure it won't mess something up (on a system that I can't afford to use as a guinea pig). Either provide some info on how the hack works (as simple as "it modifies registry key [foo]), or the source code, please!

The power options part is just a program I put together in Visual Studio, it's just a form with some buttons. The other program, which puts the shortcut to the power options in the Win+X menu, is something I found in an article on Cnet about customizing Windows 8. No registry entries are modified, it just adds a shortcut to the folder C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\WinX. There's nothing to worry about.
Cool, thanks for the info! That's awesome.
I've stopped working on this as I no longer have any use for it (I'm now using Stardock's Start8). I am still happy to answer any questions and may provide the original files if requested.

Hi Does anyone know where the updates are located on the disk?
My phone is rooted.
I.e. when the system, phone updates download.
C:\Data\SharedData\DuShared
Edit.
Just checked that location and there are very little files in there. My phone is trying to schedule a reboot so I expected it to have a gig or so of files
Before preparing for install are there.....then, i realy dont know .... inside \windows\imageupdate? you may try to search for spkg files.

Let me know if you find .

I will but I am not having much luck. I suspect in going past the preparing stage the files may have been moved into the boot folders ready for an install startup.

15606399_microsoft.mobilecore.updateos.spku.cab?
my phone download this cab on low battery(specially), so phone didn't not suffered packages.
packages 8.1(Windows Phone\Phone\Data\SharedData\DuShared\PackagesToInstall ):
Download mail cloud(russian site).
Packages w10m 10586.71:
Windows Phone\Phone\Data\SharedData\DuShared\PackagesToInstall
( 19935598_Microsoft.MainOS.Production.spkg.cab or other):
mail cloud(russian site)
I don't remembered exactly for w10,
but on WP 8.1 download all update packages here.
C:\Data\SharedData\DuShared\Download
After the preparation goes here.
C:\Data\System\ImageUpdate\bla..bla..bla
On W10M.
C:\Data\Microsoft'or'SoftwareDistributor(dont remind)\downloads.
after preparation goes same dir.
are you looking for Ndtk ?
It's firmware package come from Nokia "OEM" not MSFT.
I guess they will not block ndtk on older device such as wp8-8.1 series.
so collect all necessary packages when oem releases their firmware updates.
One More thing, stay ready to catch device specific firmware packages for W10M (as they will be retail cab's)
Possibilities of the cooking fresh retail ROM, I've trick to resign modded ffu.
Production images can be flash on any retail device.(production images accepts msft test cabs, like including tshell)
much more things coming soon after w10m release
cheers....

I don't have much knowledge about this, you need better ask to @lumiaWOA on telegram group
I think in worst case you should try to recover with Windows Device Recovery Tools, update to the latest (August) patch level and then redeploy WoA. I didn't haves the BSOD, but several times my WoA was broken... Is the Microsoft logo displayed during startup? So you can at least try WPInternals to reflash, or try the Cogwheel/Flash method. If you need advice, ask!

I conctact someone @ woalumia and he halpme, the problem is that I have some srange files in dpp\mmo partition and when I use woadeplyer I got error "invalid character in path"
because copy dpp partition to root of woa installation, then I mast those partition to copy manualy.
I never got win10arm, always agot bsod inaccessible boot device.
Then I find woa ffu file and flash the phone, win10arm boot
That ffu file provided Gustave and is from same donor model as mine
I never got woa.deployer dual boot
Thanks in advance
