I Had KDZ MM FOR MY LG G3 D855 AND LATER IT WAS "NO ROOT" SO I INSTALLED KINGROOT N ROOTED MOBILE AND I INSTALLED "TWRP"APP FROM PLAYSTORE AND INSTALLED RECOVERY IMG"TWRP 2.7.0" AND BOOT INTO RECOVERY
THEN MY PHONE STOPPED TURNING ON AND WHILE I CONNECT TO P.C IT CANNOT BE DETECTED EITHER !! I TRIED ALL WAYS TO BOOT MY MOBILE !! IT MIGHT BE SOFTWARE BRICKED PLEASE HELP ME TURN ON MY MOBILE LG G3 D855 INT VERSION WHICH IS RUNNING ON MM ROM 6.0 !! PLEASEEEE HELPMEEEE PLEASEEE SOMEONE

you can changing in off ....
and then.... into again download mode.
if(not work).. I think Your phone was hardbrick.

It was 100% charged bfre hardbrick but my phone doesntevn show its chargngornot aftr i connect chrger

You just downgrade to lollipop, then.... up MM by ZIP

Can't downgrade since my phone's bricked. I need MM tot to unbrick since I was running MM when my phone got bricked.

You can downgrade your phone from MM to LL....
Then you UP again to MM
....
You just download 10x TOT... flash to LL..

Okay.. but the instructions said that I need the tot that is the same android version as the phone before it was bricked. Are you sure this won't make things worse?

Hello there,
I have the same problem with my G3 D855.
I send it now but at the LG customer under warranty.
Let's see what it comes out.

Fixed by doing the shorting method. Flashed v10* instead of MM like I was supposed to, but I got to download screen and reinstalled MM

Hey, please share the outcome.

Hey ho,
I'll keep you posted.
The support has now sent me the repair order and the shipping label to the next repair service. On Monday my G3 goes on tour.
Hopefully it is then end of the week back.
As a repair base I had given an update error. Which was caused by the "LG PC Suite" program.

Hello there,
Yes, the way I have already looked at.
But I have warranty on my G3 until the end of 2016th
Since I try only so dear, and when LG says no because then I try this out.
Would not be the first mobile phone which you have to open and to repair it ^^

LGUP shows unknown model ????

Hi Guys i have LG G3 D851 ..i am currently on MM i want to downgrade to lollipop so i downloaded the kdz file V20e but the problem is that LGUP cannot detect my G3 shows the device as unknown model but correctly shows the comports i even tried using LGFlash tool used seems that i cannot downgrade shows error and stops so i wanna know is there any way to fix this unknown model in LGUP ...

To anyone else who has this issue u may need to change the buildprop file and ur phone must be rooted it still doesnt shows as unknown in LGUP but since i have rooted my phone n bought a new battery and installed xposed and im having a good battery life i still want to know why it aint showing up in LGUP

i think D851 doesnt support LGUPdirect mthod thats what i figure but u can go back via tot method to lollipop or kitkat...im still using MM with custom rom

Dont install it.. use it with flashtool as dll and tot for ur model.. old flashtool way

i cant seem to flash via lgflashtool 2014 cuz it needs kdz n in TWRP u need .zip file...what other flashing method is available?

The only flashing method that has ever worked for me when my phone was bricked along with Corrupted recovery is the .TOT method. And that I'm afraid is the one from where you have to start all over from Out of the box experience with 4.4 Kitkat. If the LGFlashTool2014 does not work for you, I recommend the LGFlashtoolv1.8.1 + the crack. It will not ask you for the KDZ and should allow you to downgrade without any hassle.
There are 2 things you will need:
LGD851AT-01-V10c.zip & LGFLASHv160.dll
This will point you in the right direction. Just scroll down to the text where it says "2014 TOT Method (Old/Outdated)"

Solution to LGUP LG G3 unknown
While an old thread, it'll be found in searches. For anybody who gets "UNKNOWN" device with LGUP for the LG G3, I found that LGUP for the G3 is often distributed with the wrong DLL file. See the details here, post #11.

i bought an LG G4 with a model number of h811 but with sprint serial number

Dear fellow XDA members i bought an LG G4 H811 and when tried rooting it with no luck by pure luck i noticed that the serial number starts with ls991... Now the rom is 20R as a normal T-Mobile phone ... Anyone faced this issue before ? If so how do i root this phone ?

first you dont know what you have.. i suggest to open the phone and take out motherboard. see plaque model if it says h811 then you have h811 if its says ls9 then you have sprint.. thats the only way. they maybe edited software easy to do.. but you can not change model in plaque ..

Thank you for the reply ... Now which one of them can i rely on to determine what to flash on it ... I wanna root the phone and get a custom rom on ... Ive tried to get it to go to the bootloader but it simply restarts without going for the bootloader and im not quite sure what i can do next.. Any tips ?

Sounds like a two part phone.
Has been refurbished..... Most likely sprint motherboard.....bad news

Same issue here but my phone is a refurbished f500l
I suggest you to not customize anything because there is nothing good when it comes to customizing a refurbished phone even flashing official kdz just let it go or you would be in your worst case of customizing
But if you insist you may want to search about qualcomm 9008 mode a little

I have battery issues too its lg bloatwares but you should have root to modify system and remove crapware(some of them can be disabled through apps menu)
First,try some apps like kingo .etc and see if those apps work because king root worked for me when i had h811 10n rom however its super user app is nothing but bull****...it will do the trick on the other hand.
Second(which i really dont recommend),try low effort root and injecting rooted system with send command and adb search for it in this forum and you will find it.
What i strongly recommend is getting along with it
Because this phone does nt worth the hassle to modify any thing on it if you have a refurbished device

LG G4 815 problem

hello guys
i bought a new lg g4 for my girl
i was surprised because it can't upgrade to android marshmallow via phone
i decide to update it via LG up
installation take place and when it get to 100% the phone shutdown
but screen was black there is only vibration, blue led and the sound of volume up and down when pressed
LG up still recognise the phone version
but when i want to reupdate it tells me that the version is wrong (i used the same as the first one)
i tried many versions but same result
please guys help me to get back the phone it's a real loss for me

Many times a phone becomes a brick because the tutorial "how to flash" was underestimated, people read them too fast, download any file, install everything randomly, everything very fast.... and later, oh... I ruined my phone!
Not saying that was your case, but it won't hurt you if you take a look again to the tutorials, and others fails and solutions.

Downgrade 7.0 to 6.0

Hello everyone, it's been many months since I'm using the official LG v29a beta ROM installed with the booloader locked with LGUP.
I would like to go back to Marshmallow how can I do? My G4 is Italian no brand.

Cazzo... did you try the search box?
Doesn't matter. If I already lost a minute writing that, I can also advise you...
Flash V20p.kdz with LGUP. Don't forget you need to use the right .dll for the phone to be recognized.
If you use the search box you'll find what you need.

I have the same problem. I have updated my LG G4 to 7.0 beta. Now the problem for me is I can't able to boot into download mode it says "Your device is corrupt. It cannot be trusted and will not boot" phone is booting until lokscreen it freezes there and restart again.
My Lg G4 is from Taiwan. It doesn't allow to unlock bootloader. Any help much appriciated.

Corrupted Bottloader is not the Thread. Power Button to Continue and Downloadmode starts!!!

If you're stuck in LG logo boot up, just try to start LGUP (having the right files), connect the phone to a USB2 port and start the process.
Today, after try the RR ROM, I re-install v29a with TWRP but got stuck on the LG logo boot up, I just disconnected the phone from the computer, turned ON LGUP, connected the phone, was detected as it should and re-flash the v20p.kdz again. No problem... try it.
