Dear Experts,
I have a strange situation I am facing at work. I need Blackberry Work on my phone. My company doesn't allow rooted devices and it came up with a new rule that Work needs Android 6 or higher as per company policy going forward.
I have T mobile variant of Note 3 and the last stock rom was lollipop. I would need to somehow get an unrooted stock rom with android 6 or higher on note 3. Is that possible?
since samsung has not released Android6 for note3, Now it is only possible to get unrooted Custom rom for our device. However I think Blackberry Work will not work on unrooted Custom rom. Because Blackberry Work verify so many things before activation. ..

Hi,
One technical told me to not install any roms with Android 4.3 becouse not work in the N7100 and is will brick my phone without maintence! And only change motherboard the phone can work back. i think that his told me this just to scare me to i don't change the ROM of my phone.
Witch ROM with Android 4.3 is more better to N7100. What do you recommends me?
Thanks,
So we all know that Samsung is not gunna release the Android L update for note 4 anytime soon, and I'm getting sick of touchwiz already. I mean, no release date and no news for this update, its disappointing. And honestly, I like stock android so much better
So
Is there any kind of rom, or anything I and many other could do to really get stock android on the Sprint Note 4? I'm dying for stock android on my note 4.
Samsung released L to the carriers a while ago. Its the carriers that are holding everything up.
If you are on sprint then just root and do whatever you want to it. Sprint is not locked down like Verizon and ATT.
You may want to check out the Sprint Note 4 forums.
But is there a way where I can get Stock Android on the note 4?

Yes, if you have an unlocked boot-loader with sprint or T-mobile for example, you can install CM12 which is lollipop.

I've seen this, but how does it work? For example, I don't exactly know how it works when it means to install "GApps". Is there a tutorial on Cyanogen 12 that shows how to do all this? And also, how does the nightly system work? Isn't it a lot of work to reflash Cyan 12 every night?
I'm new to the whole Cyanogen mod, so any help will be much appreciated
Hello everyone. Please forgive me but I am a super newbie in regards to rooting and terminologies. I have a Galaxy Note 8 N5100, wifi version. It has the original firmware 4.4.2 and I would like to upgrade it to Nougat 7.0. My son is having trouble playing new games on it so I theorized that it could be due to its age. Before I buy a brand new tablet I figured I would try to see if updating the N5100 would help.
I have googled and saw this link and it seems fairly easy.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2626778
Is that the correct thing to go through the process? And to update to Nougat I saw this:
http://www.android-nougat.tech/2017/03/samsung-galaxy-note-8-0-wi-fi-5253.html
Or if there is a better/easier way I would appreciate it. Thanks.
Wish I could help. I'm just getting back into this tablet myself.I'm sure someone will show up with info.

Hi! I was planning to do exactly the same thing -- upgrade my trusty Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 to Android Nougat -- and from scouring the XDA forums re this device, it seems to me that we have two popular options (based on the comments and thanks-ratings).
Here's the link to the more popular one, it's been renamed LineageOS 14.1 by the developer(s) but is based on Nougat 7.x:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...m-unofficial-lineageos-14-1-gt-n51xx-t3533329
And if for some reason you don't like the name of that one (or for any other reason, just to have an alternative), there's another popular one called RR (short for Resurrection Remix OS). It is based on Nougat 7.1.1_r25 and nightlies of LineageOS 14.1:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...t/rom-resurrection-remix-5-8-2-rel-1-t3571116
I'm about to upgrade to LineageOS now (wish me luck). The reason I'm choosing LineageOS is 'coz it seems to be more popular and is ported to more devices.
Hi I own the same device as you and I flashed the RR rom to my tablet it was really easy, you need to root your device first and then install TWRP (Team win recovery project) after that follow the instructions on the rom
do you lose touchwiz and spen?
Hi,
Do any custom roms offer touchwiz or spen?
Thx

If you are looking to use a more current rom with Marshmallow or Nougat, then yes you will lose touchwiz and probably most or all s-pen features. AOSP roms like Lineage and Resurrection Remix are based on stock android, but sometimes they're the only way to keep an old device current. Touchwiz roms are usually adapted from original firmware or ports from similar devices. Since this device stopped receiving updates at Kitkat, the most up-to-date touchwiz roms you'll find for the Galaxy Note 8.0 will be Kitkat.
Hello I just obtained an old Samsung Galaxy Trend 2 Lite and I am in hunt for a custom rom, this is not my primary phone and is a hands me down from my father, therefore I want to experiment with it (I do not keep any data that I care not to be erased).
So can you suggest me some Roms that work on it. Bu default comes with Android 4.4.4 version meaning it is an ancient phone but I would be glad if I can "fix" it WITHOUT some propriatery GApps.
In 2014, the SM-T110 model bought a Tab 3 Lite. At first I used it with normal Stock Rom but 1. I went into the custom Rom business the next year when it slowed down. All the Custom roms on my tablet is garbage. Please ask developers to provide Custom Rom support to the original Tab 3 on this tablet. At least remove an Android 4.4 Custom Rom. I want to customize the tablet, but no one makes such a Custom Rom. Let's not get Kitkat then port this device to Cyanogenmod 10.1. The device has Cyanogen on the last 4.2.2 output port it. Let the developers hear my voice or my money will be in the trash.

Dude, this is no Online Shop, here is nothing on demand. You make it, you share it, that's the way it is on XDA. We're not your employees.
Cheers

If you are so concerned about your money getting wasted, how about you actually make an effort to porting CyanogenMod?
Ok guys all jokes on a stick ..did anyone even created a Twrp or CWM for this device , if yes maybe we could at least make a custom stock lite for this device , so many people asking for a rom ,..
Hey guys, I recently found some versions of twrp for goya and it work. I successfully installed 3.6.2 version.
