White metal plate for magnetic car mount - Google Pixel 2 XL Accessories

I have a clear plastic case for the GPXL2 and use one of those metal plates you get with the magnetic car mount.

I wanted it to be white so it somewhat blends in with the white of the panda XL.
I tried spray painting the metal plate white but it wasn't smooth.
Anyone have any (cheap) suggestions on how to get a white metal plate?
Would Home Depot or someone similar have something suitable? I searched for white dog-tags but the cost wasn't worth the effort. Amazon had other colors butvthey were silver, gold or rose gold...just not white.
I figured there must be some panda 2 XL owners who have done something so that the beauty of the phone isn't hidden behind a solid color case as well as not having a black eye-sore metal piece between the phone and case.
Thanks.

couldnt you just buy white vinyl sticker/wrap and cover the black plate?

I tried using white "PlexiDip" to paint my metal plate. It didn't hold up well, mostly since I don't keep my in a case 24/7.
Maybe I'll look for a vinyl sticker/wrap.

Use Enamel paint. Let it dry for 24 hrs and you'll be golden.

Best Jelly Soft Dark Brown & Lime Protective Case Pouch

Well two of my cases arrived from China and I thought I would share photos with them on the phone (Blue Pebble I9300)

They come in several colors, I chose Dark Brown and Lime.
Nice tight/snug fit, but not hard to remove, button/rocker are covered (tho still easy to press), headphone, usb cutouts and mic holes aligned.
Top notch quality. EDIT: It's name is misleading, this is actually a TPU case.
Well without making you wait any further, I present to you the pictures;

Nice thanks for share
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
Just realized they sent me GREEN instead of LIME, after I already left prositive feedback. Was wondering why it wasn't as florescent as the pictured on ebay.

Tight hard edged TPU, but not soft oily, nice and grippy. The back has a protruding lip that lets the grove fit into the creases of your fingers. Slides easy in and out of pocket.
Thanks for the question
Thx for info. Ordered one already though.

Pictured: Elago Breathe Case - Indigo Jean on Pebble Blue

idelgado782 posted a nice photo shoot of the Elago Breathe case (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1774853), but since there was much discussion (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1795198) about what color cases match well with "Pebble Blue," I thought I'd post some pics of my Jean Indigo case on my Pebble Blue phone. Color names are getting so creative lately.
Here's a link to the case. $9.99 on Amazon.

The case feels very nice, and although it isn't rubbery it isn't gonna slip out of your hand. Those perforated hole things are very grippy.
The whole thing attracts lint like a magnet. I brushed it off the best I could for the pics, and it is still noticeable. No biggie, but...
And, as a side note, that last pic was the result of a fumble 2 feet above my bathroom floor, about 3 hours before my case came in the mail. Gorilla Glass is NOT indestructible.

No, the color isn't for perfectionists (I have CDO: It's like OCD, but in alphabetical order, like it should be. ), but it's not that bad.
That sucks about your phone. What are you going to do?

Probably leave it and get a Steinhal Curved Crystal screen protector to go over it.

[DIY] Wallet case with metal plate

Just wanted to share my idea. I have a heavy duty occupation and went with copter screen protector and a wallet case. The wallet case has snap on attachment and opens from right to left. The sleeve has three card slots and a bill slot. In my opinion the sleeve was quite annoying since it's so light it wants to close over the screen all the time. I got the idea to put a thin metal plate in the bill slot to make the sleeve heavy enough to make it fall open easier. The bill slot is exactly the size of the screen, so there won't be any pressure marks on the screen from the edges of the plate. I cut the plate with small margin and smoothed the edges and corners so as not to cut the sleeve. Bonus effects are added protection against pressure and blunt trauma and added weight (I tend to drop my phones if they are too lightweight). I'm still on the lookout for an even thinner and lighter sheet of metal to use but am quite pleased with this solution as is.

Stickerboy Sides for Bamboo Back

I found a plce that sells just the sides for the oneplus. $10+ship. $14 total.
pros:
looks great when sitting on a table/couch. you no longer have to look at those hideously whimpy tan sides.
stickers go on easily
matte colors have gritty texture.
you get two sets.
cons:
looks like stickers when up close.
they do not form fit the sides too well. when wrapping the corners... the slant of the corners causes the stickers to raise up towards the screen. they are a little tall also. i had to cover up quite a bit of the chrome to keep from having a noticeable lip around the bamboo.
the cut-out for the sim tray isnt like the buttons/usb/speakers/etc. it doesn't fully wrap around, as in there is no sticker covering one side of the tan.
sharp edges.
the buttons, of course, are a bit more difficult to push.
all in all though... i am extremely happy that i no longer have to look at the tan. and the grit of the stickers adds quite a bit of grip. maybe after a few days of use in the hand... the edges will soften a bit.

Accessories ITSkins Hybrid/Silk case (Hourglass shape with large smooth curved corner bumpers similar to the Ballistic Urbanite)

I was a huge fan of Ballistic Urbanite's case but they don't make them for our phone. Their cases were essentially hourglass shaped so there were not too bulky but very protective. All I have been able to find for the Pixel 6 Pro are cases with raised squared bumpers in the corners.
I found this case via a "Prime Day" special. It is a "Hybrid/Solk" case for my Pixel 6 Pro from https://us.itskins.com/google-pixel-6-pro-hybrid-silk/ .
I am _very_ happy with it. It has those unique large smooth curved corner bumpers like the Ballistic Urbanite. The case has a smooth soft surface and feels great in my hand.
The only color choices are black and burgundy. The photos make it look like bright red but in life, it is darker and really burgundy.
