I use AICP nightly build of 19th Jan, 8.1 oreo on my lenovo z2 plus, with JIO sim of India.
For the past few hours while the data works with VOLTE enabled i am unable to make voice calls using that sim.
Have tried clearing cache, network reset, reboot, sim-swap etc. But still unable to make voice calls using VOLTE.
The sim works on a different phone though. So it appears there is no problem with the sim.
Any help?

Hello, thanks to my carelessness, I think I broke my dual sim functionality.
What I was doing was messing around in the network settings in Engineer mode that can be accessed using *#36446337#. And all of a sudden, both sims stopped working. After a lot of messing around with the RAT settings, I could get one of the sims working. After selection sim1 or sim2 in the options and changing the RAT settings for that sim, I can get said sim to work, but it breaks the other. No matter what I do, I can't get both working again. This was on Open Beta 9.
What I've tried doing since then:
1- Factory reset
2- Flashing another ROM (Lineage)
3- Flashing latest 4.0.4 firmware
nothing seems to get both sims to work. Always just 1 sim working. Does anyone have any thoughts what I could try?

Just do a full wipe with the unbrick tool and everything will be back to normal.
I have the same problem after I mess with the engineer mode.
Tried everything and still unsolved.
Try installing the modem or firmware of previous oxygen OS builds then updating the oxygen os

Yes, I tried the unbrick tool but it's still the same. It seems to me that the GSM/WCDMA band of the phone is broken. When put two LTE card into the phone, both can work under LTE band.

Installed the OOS3.0 and then updated to OOS4.0. Dual sim function won't work on both OS.
Flashing modem usually can solve signal lost on Samsung, but it seems that it won't work on Oneplus.

Well you just said you are a noob.. No problem but really dialing a number isn't going to break anything in your phone.. Wipe all partitions then Flash OOS 4.0.2 and o guarantee it will work, this is pure something in software level.
I have successfully fix the problem according to a post at Oneplus Community in China. Just Flash Official H2OS 2.5 (Android 6.0.1 ). Go to engineer mode. Choose Network Set -- Band mode --Hardware Default (Foreign) to fix the problem.
P.S. If you are in mainland China. Pls choose Hardware Default(China). Else choose (Foreign)

1-did you check *#*#4636#*#* whethere the volte flag is on,
2-also check in sim & network settings , under settings, whether the use volte when available is toggled on.
3-might also be temporary network issue in your area
4-reboot

I'm using Reliance Jio since last few months but it was working fine. Problem occurred only after upgrade to 4.0.3
I got the toggle in 4.0.3. It's under "Sim and network settings" check if you have this

I am running 4.0.3 with Jio sim and I have VoLTE. From your screenshots, it is obvious that it is missing for you.
Did you update via OTA? If so, clean flash the full ROM and check. OTA updates especially for the OP3 are buggy, I don't know why. Mine is a clean flash of full ROM.

Hi all,
I have found the solution. It's nothing to do with android or oneplus 3 or oxygen update. I did everything but the stupid sim is faulty. Took my friend's sim card of same service and it just worked fine. Will change my sim card with new one. Will see how it works. Thanks to everyone for their support.
VoLTE icon found
My husband too lost the icon on his OnePlus 3T phone after the update n my solution to his new problem turned out to be quite easy. If you too are trying to get the VoLTE icon back, then try this also:
Settings > Status Bar (under customization section) > enable VoLTE option.
I hope it works for you

I am using Z2 plus from about 15 months with Jio sim with VOLTE enabled without any issues. Suddenly VOLTE has stopped working. Toggled VOLTE, toggled data/airplane mode, tried multiple restarts but VOLTE is not working. Data (internet) is working w/o any issue but I can't make/receive calls as VOLTE is not working. Appreciate if somebody can offer any solutions.
Im also facing the same issue from today(15/8/2018 IND Independence day).
I flashed tons of ROMs and still the problem persists.
Please find a FIX for this.
It has happened many times to me. Try these steps :
1. Eject the SIM tray
2. Interchange the SIMs
3. Let the network bars appear.
4. Turn off the phone
5. Interchange the SIMs again
6. Start the phone
It works :fingers-crossed:

Thanks madhurjajoo but this doesn't work for me. I also suggest that you try toggling airplane mode on/off next time you face the issue. So far that's solution that worked for me when VOLTE stops working but nothing working this time.

I have faced this problem for a lot of time. In the end, i installed stock rom again via mi flash tool - Zui v2.5 (you will easily get the link in xda). Once i got HD symbol and tested a call, i clean wiped the phone and installed custom rom again which supported volte. But before starting the rom for first time, i flashed baseband v1.7 (which i think is of zui 3.5). I got volte after 5-6 months and I'm happy.... My current rom AospExtended Oreo based doesn't have great battery backup but atleast I'm content with VoLTE. Hope it helps
I own a redmi 7 onclite. Few days before i unlocked bootloader, rooted with magisk and installed bootlegger custom rom with miui (gsi). At first try rom file got corrupted and messing with it made twrp corrupted. But i again flashed twrp through a pc and the other file of bootlegger rom. And then everything was working fine with network. I was using airtel sim. Then i ported my airtel sim to jio sim. And after inserting my new jio sim, nothing working no msg ougoing incoming no data no call ougoing. I had to tele verify it by placing it in other phone and recherged the plan. Then reinserted back to my phone and internet data started but no call outgoing worked. I tried 10s of solutions online(placed in 1st sim tray, changed apn settings, tried jio call app, modified build.prop file, disabled google play protect, and even contacted customer care) but nothing worked. And now incoming calls are also not working even data is working only on 64kbps plan. I cant reset cause i worked very hard and optimized it very much. Please please anyone help. Sorry for long text(just for better understanding). Any working solution will be appreciated very much and yes i dont have any previous backup also. Thank you!
My POCO F3 8GB/256GB suddenly not letting me call anyone (Says mobile network not available) or pick up any calls but mobile network and texting is working completely fine. I've rebooted the phone multiple times, disabled volte, reinstalled google carrier services and still nothing so I had no choice but to factory reset the phone but that didn't work too. Currently using MIUI 13.0.9 and hoping there's a way to fix this asap.

Use miui flash tool to reset your phone to he miui version it came from. If it does ot work then, it's a hardware problem.

I'll try doing the MIUI Flash method. I hope it's not a hardware problem because everything was working fine and I only realised few days ago it started to not work
Check with other sim. If problem remains check different network modes 2G/3G/LTE.

So I've tried using 2 different sim cards (One of them being the same carrier as the sim that's not letting me make or receive calls on the F3) and so far those sims are working fine with the phone . Also tried putting the not "working" sim on other devices and it seems to work fine so I'm not really sure what's the problem here. As soon as I put the sim card back on the F3 it works for a moment then completely stops letting me call and receive calls.
Try changing network modes.

That method also didn't work
did you try downgrading to 13.0.8.0 fw? could be a defective modem driver
Try manual network selection. If fails probably hardware.

I'm getting Location unavailable too on Firmware 13.0.9, revert back to Firmware 13.0.8, and the location is okay again. Maybe you can revert to Firmware 13.0.8, don't think too far first.
Try to enable volte and vowifi. I had the same problem to my device and it is working
