Flash in TWRP.
This Aroma has all the mods from my normal Aroma but there is one last step. Like the other, you must flash the base at the bottom of the Aroma first. Then flash any other mods you may like in any order. When done, flash the very first option which is the Magisk Module Maker. It will make a zip in a folder and zip on your sdcard called magisk. After you back out of the Aroma, go to that folder and flash that zip and reboot. I did notice that QS background doesn't play nicely with live wallpapers though that might be semi-transparent QS background only. This is flashed in TWRP but will show up in Magisk Manager so you can enable or disable.
The Aroma comes with the following options:
Comes in all bases
Full systemui tuner
Invisible Power button on far right side of Statusbar
Full 4 way rotation
4 column QS tiles
Options
Clock positions and formats
Navbar height adjustment
Navbar Remover
3 Minit battery
Enabled stock WiFi-Data in-out arrows
Rainbow Battery
One Percent Battery Mod with 7 different batteries
Colored statusbar icons
Colored Navbar Icons
Colored Traffic speed meter up over down or separately. Up and down can be different colors.
Colored Notification Backgrounds
Colored Notification Text
Colored QS backgrounds
Colored QS text
Navbar swap of back and recents
Old Nexus statusbar icons option
Navbar remover (completely) 3,4,5,6,7 column QS options
Invisible power menu button in far right hand corner of statusbar. Tap closes the screen, long press brings up the power button menu. Now this option can go either, and, or on the NavBar too.
The 3 Column QS option is a mod. Flash a base first, then 3 Column. There are now mods for 5, 6, or 7 column QS.
If you want Navbar gone, flash the one that matches your Navbar height. Base is 36 dip. There are 3,4,5,6,7 QS column options for Navbar gone. (There is an option near the bottom for putting an invisible Home button on the left side of statusbar for those times when LMT or other 3rd party navbars don't kick in for whatever reason). Then can select other mods.
I don't know a much about Magisk but this evil themer-Magisk combo was made by djb77 at this thread:

Magisk must be installed for this to work. If you are not using magisk, try the other Aroma installer. It has the same mods but installs system instead of systemless.

Figured it out, I think. I didn't have root access enabled in my rom.

If you upload the one I just uploaded, it has a good restore to stock but it will still show up as a module. How do you normally restore after flashing a module?
I keep rebooting back into recovery after trying this...any suggestions? Is the old aroma not compatible with the feb update?

I literally just downloaded it like, within the hour...has it changed that recently? It seemed to flash properly, created a folded called magisk with magisk.zip inside it. I flashed that and it wouldn't boot, got stuck on G and then said powering off and rebooted to twrp...
edit does it matter which version of twrp I'm using?
double edit ok I think you mean the one in the other thread, trying it now

Is there a new version of TWRP?
Try using root explorer, go to root drive, data/tmp folder and delete any files that might be in it and try again.
Edit:. Only one version will work for any setup. If you are using Magisk manager you have to use the Magisk version. If you are only rooted by Magisk, then the normal aroma.

3.2 or 3.2.1? I was using 3.2.1 on the January update, rooted with magisk 15.2, and the old aroma method worked just fine.
It's too late now I have already flashed the factory image to start fresh. I tried both methods from a fresh start and they both result in boot loop back to twrp.
I'm not sure what the difference is in using magisk manager vs only rooted by magisk, all I did to root with magisk was flash the magisk15.3 zip in twrp...so I'm assuming that means I am supposed to be using the aroma from the other thread. Is it possible there were files left over from my first attempt, despite the fact that I flashed a stock factory image with the -w intact?

Yes you need to use the other one. You might need to do a factory reset through TWRP at this point. You won't lose data but will have to set up as new.

Ah ok, well I just had something strange happen when I flashed a factory image after this last bootloop. I guess it was the stock recovery? Text at the top of the screen saying something about data corrupt I think it was and asked me to do a factory reset, so I did, and thankfully it rebooted to setting up from the beginning and all was good. I don't have time now, but I will give it another shot soon as I can and report back. Thanks so much for your work and the quick replies :good:
May update is out.

Few questions, how can I get the internet speed in KBps instead of Kbps. Also I would like to keep the internet speed on the right side but before all icons and not on the extreme right, how do I do that?

There is no option for KBps
You can put the internet speed on far right, next to wifi-data, center, or far left.

I had the same problem. After Install the Loading Splash stayed or
an empty screen was shown as desktop.
Solution:
Using Recovery you must
- Wipe /data and /cache
- Mount /data and /system (!)
- Install the new version from ZIP file
It seems as the file is seen as an update, the mount is manually needed.
After that this ROM is the best I have tested so far, I am using now
permanently. The Wifi is now much more stabile, did download 7,2GB
of cards in Sygic with no problems. Also SPB 3D works nice on this,
could even remove Nova Launcher to save some space. Skype
also works nicely.
Thank you for the good work.

This is a Magisk Module Maker that converts various Mods of mine into TWRP flashable Magisk Modules.
Flash the Aroma installer in TWRP. Select and flash all the enclosed mods you want (after each selection is flashed and you want more, hit next, tick the check box at the top of the page, hit Finish and it takes you back to select more). When done, hit Finish. You will back in TWRP, hit the back button and go to Install. Find a folder on your sdcard called "Magisk". Inside there is a Magisk module called "Magisk.zip". Flash and reboot. These are the same mods from my other post but are for people using Magisk.
Now an Add-On selection in case you flash several mods but forgot or want to change some. It is the second selection. Flash it after you have flashed any additional mods. Afterwards, find and flash the Magisk.zip
Options
Internet speed - Up over Down- select position far left or to left of Icons on the right side, or center of statusbar. Indicators can be colored individually 6 different colors
Optional internet speed, single line. Strongest signal is shown. Left side, center, and by WiFi placements are available. Same color options.
Clock position - Center Clock not showing on Lockscreen
Dynamic Navbar, 8 sizes
Regular Navbar, 8 sizes
Battery text, with or without Battery Icon
Invisible screen-off Power Menu Button on far right hand side of status bar with option to remove.
Option of Invisible screen-off Power menu button on right side of Navbar in portrait mod and/or on the top side in Landscape mode.
Dpad left and right on the Navbar, poitrait and landscape options.
3Minit Battery
Settings Theme Colors
QS background Theme Colors
Colored Statusbar Icons - 6 to Choose From
Colored Navbar Icons - 6 to Choose From (Matches Statusbar)
Colored notification backgrounds
Colored notification text
Custom one percent battery mod enabler and 7 custom batteries to choose from.
Colored Halo Ring. You can match the other colors if you choose to.
Rainbow Battery
If you are going to install 3Minit Battery, you must install the 3Minit Resources apk, Prior to flashing that module.
I have flashed most of these myself but as always, have a backup. Signature disabling and Black Google bootanimation, loud effect ticks aren't working at this time. Flash at your own risk.

Hi!
Thanks for all your help in the other thread.
I am trying to figure out exactly what steps I need to take as this whole thing is pretty confusing. Lets just say all I want to do is have a day of the week show up in the status bar. What steps am I missing here?
1. decompile the framework framework-res.apk and install it
2. decompile the SystemUIGoogle.apk
3. go into the SystemUIGoogle.apk FOLDER and look for status_bar.xml
4. Change out the code
5. Save the status_bar.xml
6. Place the newly edited status_bar.xml in my eviltheme folder in /system/priv-app/SystemUIGoogle
Now obviously I am way wrong but I thought that was the whole point; that this thing just pulls the XML instead of messing with my APKs? Can you please help me with the steps that I am doing wrong? Or am I not understanding this program correctly?

1. You do not have to decompile the framework-res.apk unless you want to mod it. Just install it.
2. Yes
3. When I was talking about folders I meant how things were put into the eviltheme folder. Same premise, though once it is decompiled, so yes.
4. Yes using notepad++ or something similar.
5. Yes
6. No, you must recompile your SystemUIGoogle.apk first. Then unzip it with 7zip, take out your status_bar.xml and put it in evilthheme folder like this: system/priv-app/SystemUIGoogle.apk/res/layout
Those are folder names, not your actual SystemUIGoogle.apk. you must tell it the exact pathway to where your modded file goes. Look at your SystemUIGoogle.apk after you decompile it. It is no longer a apk, now it is folders and files.
Flash my Aroma, however many mods you want. Then flash the very first one, the Magisk Module maker. You don't have to install it. Reboot system, in file explorer, go to the new folder on your sdcard called magisk, find the magisk.zip, unzip it and look at the folder structure.

OK so I did this (my confusion came from the fact that I did not realize that the status_bar.xml was different when the APK is recompiled!)

Ok. Correct me if I'm wrong Tulsadiver...
But I believe what you want to do is:
1. Pull the required APKs from your phone.
2. Decompile them.
3. Mod them accordingly to what you wish.
4. Recompile them. (Do not push them to the phone)
5. Extract as .zip, find the files you modded, and now put folders accordingly in the eviltheme folder as is to the needs of your device. (For instance, /system/priv-app/SystemUIGoogle.apk/res/anim/your file here.xml(don't quote me on it, I'm guessing that's where things are)).
Don't ask me why it's nessessary to recompile them. Something to do with signature checking if I remember and understand right.
Correct me if I'm wrong Tulsadiver, just trying to help this lost soul with my own understanding.

You have to recompile them because that is the way they are on your phone. What Apktool does is decodes the files so you can read them, kind of like decrypts them. They have to be back in their original form or your phone can't read them. The entire apk would need original signature but we are only talking about edited xml's here.
@Truant_Luce Thank you! Yes that is exactly what was confusing me. I thought he was telling me to recompile in order to push the apk back to the device! No wonder I was so confused My fault! I really appreciate your reply.

Yes, put the xml in the folder order that was discussed. Zip up the contents of the magisk folder, not the folder itself. In other words, select common folder through config.sh, not magisk itself.

OK I did this. Unfortunately when I get to the home screen trying to load it has the default background (mine is removed) and says "Android is starting...." and never loads.
I tried to install the .zip you had uploaded that supposedly fixes the SystemUI if this happens but unfortunately it did not work.
Any advice to get this or my phone booting again would be appreciated. I am not sure how such a tiny modification to the clock could render my phone unusable.

Upload your zip.
You might have to do a factory reset in twrp. You have to setup your phone like new but I have done it and have not lost data.

You can also fastboot flash your firmware again. First try uploading my Aroma. Select the nexus navbar rainbow battery (selection 64) a navbar height mod (say #28) so you get systemui and frameworks involved. Flash the magisk module. Exit the Aroma and while still in twrp, go back to install, find the magisk.zip in the magisk folder on your sdcard and flash it.

I noticed in your xml that you took the stock clock completely off and replaced it with a text clock. What I do is leave the stock clock but put in 0.0dip for both the layout width and height so it doesn't show up. I believe you have to have it there though.
I fixed it if you want to try and flash it first.

I am in a thing that says "Mod options" and I see a bunch listed. None say "navbar rainbow battery". I even counted down 64 lines and 28 lines and they don't match up with what you are saying

Never mind. I found the ones you probably meant. I get a "System UI has stopped" and can't do anything when i boot my phone.

It didn't. Just flashed it. I took another look at your status_bar.xml. You left off the original clock and your layout gravity was wrong. Should have been android:gravity not android:layout_gravity
I AM NOT A DEVELOPER, I in no way claim to have made any of this myself, I'm just here to say how I manage to get as close to having Pixel software on my Galaxy S7 G930V as possible.
Basically I'll divide this into three main areas. ROM, Add-on Mods, and Apps.
Read All the way through before starting so as to not miss anything.
Also the add-on mods are installed at the same time as the ROM. That way you keep safety net and what not.
Lets start with the ROM, I am using Ufirm_QE2_Hybrid_Nougat_Rom_FlashFire_Install Status Official For VZW S7FLAT by CVertigo1 / jrkruse
jrkruse said:
Latest Ufirm QE2 Nougat Firmware For The S7 Flat Only
This well give you a Customizable NonRooted Rom that uses stock boot.img not the eng boot image so there is no lag and it will pass safetynet checks and samsung pay will work
Give this guy @umaro some thanks he worked on this until it became reality even when I gave up
These first 2 step must be done first unless you are on my previous version of this rom or my carrier specific rom that do not have root or if your unsure just do this first
This Will Wipe Your Phone
1. Unzip UFIRM_G930_Odin_Firmware.zip and flash all files in odin
2. Go through setup ignore invalid sim message and skip adding accounts
3. Go to Step 3 Below
Click to collapse
To Flash Files in Odin simply launch Odin (Downloads later)
click on each button (Labeled BL, AP, etc.) and select their respective files that were extracted from the archive.
Each respective file's label has each corresponding label. (AP at the beginning of the file name, means put it in AP slot)
Then boot phone into download mode, press home, download, and volume down keys all simultaneously.
Connect it to computer and press the begin button in Odin.
jrkruse said:
If you are on one of my previous version of this rom or my carrier specific rom
1. Unzip UFIRM_G930_Odin_Firmware.zip
2. Use odin to flash BL and CP
3. Unzip ADB_Root_G930U_QE2Files.zip
4. Flash EngBoot image with odin
5. Root Phone. I'm not going to have half a page about rooting there is an entire rooting thread here. The Eng Boot.img can be found in the UFIRM_QD2_Modified_Nougat_Firmware Folder

Rooting is very simple for this phone once the Eng Kernel has been flashed.

Options I selected in Aroma:
Verizon Stock
NoName System UI Mods
Open Source Ad Blocking
Pixel Boot Animation
Manual Debloat
Removed Every thing except Samsung TTS and Samsung Gallary / Camera (you can remove if you prefer to use google camera, DO NOT REMOVE if you plan on using zero camera.)
I don't use the google camera because on my S7 the video records the audio out of sync with the video, I haven't figured out how to fix it. but zero camera allows me to use Photos app instead of gallary so.... yea. (Requires a purchase of the root app for alt gallery)
That's about it for the ROM install.
**note these were installed in FlashFire with the ROM so as to pass safty net.
Now here are the add-on mods I used:
Open-GApps - to get pixel icons, and connectivity service
Android 8 Emojis
iYTB Vanced (Modded YouTube)
Google Lens
Zero Camera Mod
Copy those mods onto internal storage with the ROM install and add them into FlashFire during the ROM install. Place them after the ROM zip, but before the Format Cache / Wipe System less Super SU.

THANKS A TON DEVS!!!! :good:  :good:
Let me know if anybody has anything else they have done to get this close!
I appreciate you putting all the links and mods into the same place. I have never flashed using FlashFire before (on a G930V) and this was an excellent guide for me.
My only trip up was I didn't understand the language about Camera/Google Camera/Zero Camera Mod and I tried installing the zero mod while debloating the camera off. So I will have to go back and do that.
I skipped the "flashables" youtube, emoji, lens but may end up going back for those.
Thanks again.
Update: I found a cool way to have the new Google now page in the launcher.
Launcher App:
First is the actual app. Typicaly I would just say use Nova but on the pixel launcher the Google Now page looks different than on other third party apps. I wanted this look, so here is how I found a way to get that new Google Now pag to appear on other launchers.
Step one, if you installed Google lens mod, you should be able to get the pixel launcher from the play store, if not get it from XDA labs or APK mirror. Set Google. Set it as your default launcher. Next you will need any third party launcher and Tasker. I'm using Lawn chair Launcher. (On Google play). Use button mapper pro to map pressing the home button to launch third party app. Go into Tasker and make a task, so that whenever Google pixel launcher is launched, open third party launcher. As long as the pixel launcher is set as your default, the new Google now page will appear in apps like Nova and action launcher.
I'm *loving* this so far. Thanks to you and the devs that have worked on each stage of this.
I'm doing:
Verizon Stock
No UI Mods
No Ad Blocking
Pixel Animation
"PlayStore" Edition (not BS free, not manual)
Flashing GApps
Flashing Emoji
My only issue is like you described with the camera. It was working initially and then it updated and the update is causing problems. Also, the double home button launch doesn't work without a 3rd party app (and with screen off with no root).
So I can either figure out a way to always ignore camera app update and use a 3rd party app for launch (screen on only)
or
Will the S8 camera option include the gallery app and not be cleared by the "PlayStore" option?

I believe so, however I don't know, this would be a better question to ask in the ROM's Thread. the link is in the OP
It says you flashed open gapps, does it just re write over existing gapps with no problems
I get a lot of requests to remove the NavBar. I'm posting this mod at each phone's forum themes section. TWRP flashable zip. Restore zip will be created in a folder named ozop on your sdcard.

Installation instructions for those of you that have root, but do not have TWRP. Busybox must be installed first.
1. Download the enclosed vrthemeADBversion zip and readme.txt for copying and pasting purposes.
2. Unzip the vrthemeADBversion zip to your sdcard. Rename folder to vrtheme
3. Put the readme.txt on your PC where you use adb.
4. Download appropriate NavBar Gone zip. Unzip and copy the system folder that is inside the vrtheme folder to the root of your sdcard.
5. On the root folder of your phone, find the data folder and create a folder inside it named tmp
6. Copy the vrtheme folder you earlier extracted to your sdcard to newly created data/tmp folder (/data/tmp/vrtheme)
7. On PC, with your phone connected and in file transfer mode, open CMD prompt and type "adb devices" without quotes. If your serial number comes up you can proceed.
8. Copy and paste the command lines from the readme.txt (include quotes)
adb shell su -c "mount -o rw,remount /system"
Hit enter
First time you will be promoted by SuperSU to give adb permission.
Copy and paste the second line in readme.txt
adb shell su -c sh /data/tmp/vrtheme/installtheme.sh
(If you would rather run a bat file and are on Windows, extract the ModInstaller zip where you adb is and run it instead of typing or copying and pasting the commands from the readme.txt)
Wait until everything runs, after a pause of a few seconds your phone will reboot and your NavBar should be gone.

Also.... what is everyone using for navigation replacements? I love LMT, but it crashes and often leaves me without a way to return home.

I'm using LMT. Never thought I'd like it but in order to get this mod right, I had to try it. Now I like it. Took some getting used to.
I could put a invisible home button on the left side of your statusbar.
I use Swipe Navigation and love it. After a recent update caused it to stop working, I downloaded an older apk from the XDA thread and keep that on my device for emergencies.
Edit.. Should mention that the developer, @Splder released another update the same day that fixed the problem I had.
I also use swipe navigation and it works great. I got scared a bit because I updated it and it didn't work but i just needed to turn it back on and grant permissions again but other than that it's the best app to use if you want to get rid of the nav bar. Simple swipe up gestures from the bottom left, middle and right make it a breeze to use.
Holy crap, thanks OP, was looking for something like this since Oreo release.
Is there any bug like Assistant force closing upon opening it or something like that?

Not that I am aware of. I'm not really a power user and just went navbarless a couple of days ago. This zip will make a restore zip in a folder called ozop.
Thank you for the great mod. It was a shame that the option to remove the navbar from stock rom was no longer possible. It was the only thing that drove me to custom roms. Immersive mode is not that practical. I've been using either lmt or the pie controls from gravity box since KitKat and going back to using the navbar was impossible.
Thank you for this! Out of curiosity this will break SafetyNet, correct?

I appreciate the input. It is almost the same. There were complaints that the LMT navbar didn't come up smooth enough so I added and changed a few things. Nothing that would trigger something that one didn't.

I like the idea of the invisible home button in the status bar with the navbar removal...you think it could be flashed over that previous mod you made for me? Will this introduce lag like I experienced when I tried immersive mode? Im guessing not since it just removes it...

Hey another day another rom, that's what you might be thinking. but we at stag (I'll try not to use big words, because the idea is to be simple) aim at something towards elegance. We are learners just like everyone out there, This is small something we have started which helps us learn every single day. Why Stag, you might question, my answer would be why not. After all Harry's patronus was a stag(pun intended). Anyway, so the aim here is to provide a really good experience to everyone who uses, everyone on telegram channel can contact us and request, everything will be considered, because if you as users feel something missing, it obviously must be missing. Whatever Features you find in first build there's no guarantee that they will carry on to the subsequent builds.
As 69+ features help only to boast, and this ROM over here is not only meant for that. We want you to boast but not by the features, We want you to fall in love with the touch. So here I'll be adding up the features that i intend on adding/removing. we are starting of with many features just to find out what you like/what you don't.
There's a huge list here
Very firstly there're two people who i'd like to extend my big thanks
@darshan1205 The person who taught me everything i needed to start and @hridaySharma who always helped.
nextly @the_Darkbeast who helped me through all the rom and device related stuff.
@shekawat2 for letting us reference on his rom, which helped in making a great base for stag
Then there are the precious testers without whom many things would still be broken, These change from device to device and will properly be given credits.
In garlic Pritish Joshi, Saqid, Sandeep and myself tested the rom thoroughly to rid it of all the major bugs.
Finally Me and @phenom87 We work on the source
we also have vinothraja and Abhimanyu shekhawat, who always guide us in times of issues a big thanks to them

Hi, I am about to give your rom a try after having had some issues with a few others, among other things. I'll let you know how it turns out, do you have a chatroom I can drop into later?

yes the oficial telegram group
thanks
Can't seem to flash with either method... Twrp errors out with error 28, and fastbootd fails on flashing system.IMG with "unable to resize partition".
FYI, I figured this out...at least on my device from newest stock, I have to flash product.img BEFORE system.img or it will fail. Perhaps someone can confirm.
StagOS looks great, BTW. Nice work!
Tried the rom which went well. Thanks for giving the community another choice!
I absolutely love your implementation of network speed. Its actually useful again for those of us with numerous eye problems or are getting older
I'm getting a lot of "operation not permitted" while trying to flash with TWRP. If I try to do I on the fastboot it refuses to flash vbmeta (anti-downgrade), system, and product (both "Command failed" "FAILED (remote: '')".
What should I do?

Are you using the newest version of TWRP? If so, then re-flash back to stock recovery and try the fastbootd option

The one here (https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/recovery-unofficial-twrp-3-5-0.4155041/) is the last one, right?
The model the device reports to be (XT2043-7) is indeed the 2020 one and not the 2021 one.
As I've said in my previous post, I've tried the fastboot option and it doesn't work. I've even tried the "trick" used by mightysween to no success. Should I try to run sudo chmod -R 777 / (at least the vast majority of "operation not permitted" errors are when trying to access folders)?

I'd say give it a shot. If it fails, attempt an adb sideload. That would be my last ditch effort.

Tried both. I haven't got any error, but the end result is the same: stuck at boot animation.
Maybe I should wait a few months to see if there's any development.

It took about 3-5 minutes for mine to get out of the boot animation and actually start. Perhaps we can compare and see what happens?

I've left it running for sever hours, and what happened is simply nothing. If that's not stuck I don't know what is.

This is quite interesting here.
Let's try it by this steps.
1. Download the moto flash tool and flash the latest rom by your carrier. Run the stock rom once, don't put in your info into google for it will be a waste of time.
2. Go to the bootloader and flash TWRP to slots a and b
3. In TWRP wipe the data and nothing else.
4. If you're doing fastbootd method flash in this order (boot, vbmeta, product, system). If you're doing this thru TWRP, just flash the .zip file
5. Flash gapps then reboot into system
Hopefully this works, if not please telegram the op.

I decided to give it a go and test things out. Unfortunately, it's not working for me anymore. I did several attempts thru TWRP and stock versions of fastbootd. I'm going to find a workaround this, hopefully we'll get through this, if not, I'll just try a different OS. Hate having to swap different OS's for that it's time consuming...
