How to set silent(vibrate only) mode in terminal on MIUI rom - Xiaomi Mi 6 Questions & Answers

Hi!
Is there a way to set silent mode in MIUI 9 from terminal? On AOSP nougat 'service call audio 3 i32 1 i32 0' sets vibrate only mode and 'service call audio 3 i32 1 i32 7' puts it back to normal. In MIUI 9 however the same command puts the phone in DND and sets notification volume to 0. So i guess MIUI sound mode handling is somewhat different from AOSP. 'dumpsys audio' isnt very useful either, because in MIUI all sound levels stay the same when the phone is put in silent/vibrate only mode.
I would like to find a way to put my mi 6 in silent mode with LMT launcher (https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1330150), which doesnt have that option built in, and even if it would i guess it wouldnt work in MIUI.
Thanks, and have fun

[Q] Silent Mode Incoming Call

I currently have Tasker set up to bump up the ringer volume of an incoming call from a specific contact.
It works fine if the volume is at 1 or higher but if the phone is on silent it sets the volume to 7 (I set it to display, so I can see the volume being maxed) but the phone doesn't ring.
I did digging and found that on some phones if the ringer is silent when the call is incoming it doesn't load the ring tone so if the volume is maxed after still it wouldn't ring.
I have also read other post with people who have the GNex who have a similar Tasker set up to the one I am looking to create. Which implies that the GNex is not one of the phone which remains silent if the phone was silent when the call came in.
Can any one confirm? Thanks.
I am rooted/stock. My tasker profile is very simple. State > incoming call from xxxxx contact. Task Ringer Volume to level 7.
I still don't know the answer to this question but in case someone else has a similar problem,
With Tasker I just modified by Profile a little
State> Incoming Call.
Task
If VOLR = 0
set VOLR level 7
Play Ringtone
Else
Set VOLR Level 7
Endif
Not sure if thats the best way to do it but it appears to be working.

My nexus rooted (and before I rooted it) with stock rom does it correctly with tasker.
If my phone is in silent and I get an incoming call from one of those I filtered it gets loud...
After the call the phone gets back to silent mode..

How to turn off increasing ring in Mi6?

In old phones, such as Mi5s, was able to turn off increasing ring in Phone Settings.
Now in my Mi6 there is no such setting. I'm using custom from Xiaomi.eu.
It maybe possible to turn it off via adb or somehow else...
Increasing ring is terrible annoing feature...
In global developer ROM 7.6.1 now possible to turn off increasing ring in Phone settings!

LOS16 + OnePlus5 : Priority only will always set ring volume at more than 0

Hi,
I'm using LineageOS 20/07/19 on my OP5. I'm rooted and using Magisk.
My current settings for my alert slider are :
- Vibrate
- Full silence
- Priority only
Priority only is using Do not disturb, which is what I want. Except that when I set Priority only, it will ALWAYS set the ring volume at more than 0.
If I set my alert slider on Vibrate, and switch on Priority only, it will set the ring volume at more than 0.
If I set the ring volume on MAX, and switch on Vibrate, it will set the ring volume at 0, and it will be vibrate only. But if I set the slider on Priority only then, it will set the ring volume on MAX again.
But it will NEVER set the ring volume on 0 if I choose to set it on 0.
I don't understand what I can do to have a Priority only mode with ONLY vibration.
I want my favorites contacts to call me at night, but I want my phone to vibrate and not to ring.
If I use NFC, it will make a sound even in Priority mode. I don't want that, it's not priority.
Screenshots :
- Vibrate only
- Priority mode after ring volume set at 0, changed to vibrate mode and then back to priority mode (ring volume doesn't stay at 0)
- Priority mode after ring volume set at max, changed to vibrate mode and then back to priority mode (ring volume go back at max)
Please tell me there is a way to do what I want.
Thanks in advance

9s tasker sound mode not working

Hi everyone
I'm on MIUI 12.0.3 global and trying to setting tasker to turn on silent mode with tasker.
All i can get it to do is show the notification, but it doesn't change the sound mode.
Anyone else getting this?

Question Sound has suddenly become faint on Xiaomi Poco F3

The phone was new in december. Android 11. MIUI Global 12.5.7 stable
The ring is loud when someone is ringing me. When I ring someone else I can barely hear it and when they talk it is so quiet that it's hard to understand what they are saying.
I've tried three different equalizer apps with no result.
I've changed region to outside the EU TO avoid EU controls again with no result.
Under Sound effects - there are Dolby effects and a graphic equaliser which are working and under that there is "Mi Audio" which is greyed out and if it was working would include "adjustment of volume - personalise the volume according to your perception"
I've discovered the solution myself and I think it will work for all Xiaomi phones -
Open parameters and swipe down until you see Mi account,
Open Mi account and swipe down until you see Xiaomi cloud,
Open Xiaomi cloud and swipe down until you see Bluetooth where there is a button - switch it off
That's it.
When the button is on it stores your bluetooth info to the cloud every time it syncs but it seems to cause a conflict.
You don't lose any bluetooth info by turning this button off nor is it necessary to turn off your bluetooth - all your devices will link as before without having to input any info again.
