hi i am a noob and i downgraded from the crc1 to the rc29
and i get in the recovery menu E:Can't mount CACHE:recovery/log
i fallowed the http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=538456&highlight=crc1
and got to this part "If you are coming from another Apps2SD ROM. In order to guarantee you won't have any issues with the install you should remove all directories starting with "app" and the dalvik-cache directory on your /system/sd (ext2/ext3) partition. If you backed up your whole SDcard, this shouldn't be a huge issue. - Yes you'll have to reinstall your apps. You can try to skip this step, but if the install fails, rinse, wash, repeat and don't skip this step." and did not understand what i needed to do
i tried to complete the guide and now all that i have is the E:Can't mount CACHE:recovery/log and i cant load any update.zip.
i really dont know what to do pls help
To resolve this error, you must wipe in the recovery mode (Alt+w) and then try installing

when i try to mount the g1 the pc doesn't recognizes the phone, what should i do?

I changed LCD display on my i9195 phone, and after replacement, when I tried to put this phone on, it stucks on bootloop.
So, when i put phone on, it vibrate, logo Samsung Galaxy S4 mini appear and it goes off, 2 x vibrate and reset again.
I tried to flash 2 stock roms, but it didn´t helped.
Then, in CWM i found some interesting texts:
Wipe cache partition
--Wiping Cache..
Formating /cache
Cache wipe completed
Wipe data/factory reset
--Wiping data...
Formating /data
Error mounting /data
Skipping format...
Formatting /cache
Formatting /sd-ext...
Formatting /sd-card/ .android_secure!
Skipping format...
Data wipe completed.
CWM /advanced / show log
mount: mounting /dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/userdata on /data failed: Invalid argument
W: faild to mount /dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/userdata (File exists)
When i try to "mount /data "
Error mounting /data
I also tried two times to "install" .pit file via odin, but it didn´t helped.
So, there is no /scdard and /data anymore! I can´t even try to install zip from /sdcard. Flash stock rom didn´t help. New .pit file didn´t help.

Simply flash a stock ROM, do not check "repartition"!!! No need of PIT file. After flashing process will be done phone will reboot and make a wipe by itself. Then it will reboot automatically. But, it won`t boot, and you`ll get a freezed "Samsung" text. Simply turn off the phone by long pushing of the power button/ or pull battery out. Then boot your phone to recovery and make a wipe/factory reset, then reboot your phone. Enjoy.

So, after 8 hours of scouting, what it could be. I flashed kernel and it works now.
But i found another problem. Touch display doesn´t work. Power button, volume button and bottom buttons(menu,home,back) works.
Any solutions? Many thanks.

Hello friends, i hope you can help me because i ****ed up real bad today... I was in cwm recovery, and press some button that said something like "format for rom" or something like that... Now i dont have any SO installed, no rom on my phone, and it says i have 0mb avalaible. So i flashed the TWRP recovery because im more familiar with it, i have tried sideload but get this error con the cmd window after it gets to 100% * failed to write data 'protocol fault (no status)' *
On the phone i have: E: No valid storage partitions.
Any help please? Already tried adb push rom.zip /data or /sdcard but since i have 0mb for storage on my phone i think any of that will work. I can flash recoverys, but cant move any rom to my phone to flash Help please
Ok it seems that i was able to push the rom.zip to my /system but when i try to flash it, it says:
E: Unable to mount /data

What carrier are you on?
How does that matter? The phone was originally at&t. I need to format my storage or my /data or something to be able to install the rom
I wiped everything and flashed

With that amount of detail, no one can help you...
What device do you have(d855, d852, etc..)? What is your recovery and the version?
Are any of your partitions any other format other than Ext4? Did you format /system & /cache & /data /internal storage in TWRP

I have installed TWRP and SuperSU following instructions here and it all works but If I try to install any zips or do any sort of wiping i get a list of error messages :
Could not mount /data and unable to find crypto footer.
Failed to mount '/data' (invalid arguement)
Unable to recreate /data/media folder.
Unable to mount storage.
etc
I have tried reinstalling TWRP and SuperSU, even tried reinstalling firmware and still get the errors. My phone seems to be working fine as long as nothing goes wrong or I imagine I can't install a ROM
Any advice would be greatfully appreciated.
