On the latest Oxygen 4.7.6, bluspark TWRP and magisk 15.3. Installation went perfectly and running perfectly, however when I restart the phone it goes into a bootloop when it reaches the lockscreen. The only method is to factory reset. I have done this 3 times already. Does anyone have an idea?

First of all, make sure u have the Magisk uninstaller zip on ur phone, that way if u get a bootloop u can recover without having to wipe ur rom. U can get it from the Magisk XDA thread, just Google it. Second, seems there are some issues flashing straight into 15.3. Find a 15.2 or earlier zip, and then u can update to 15.3 within the Magisk app.

So I was on rooted 3.2.6 with xposed installed and decided to upgrade to 3.2.8.
I dirty flashed the full ROM 3.2.8 onto my 3.2.6 (without flashing SU or xposed because I wanted to use Snapchat with snapprefs again so I i flashed 3.2.8 without root , logged into Snapchat etc. )
after that I flashed superuser and xposed and since then my phone doesnt boot.
I interrupted the first try because it took over 20 minutes then tried it again after clearing cache and dalvik but it still doesnt boot ( i see the two circles and red dot)
Hope someone can help me
PS: I didnt make a backup because it would be too large, on the other hand I have the full 3.2.8 on my internal storage as well as the latest superSU
solved it
If someone experiences the same problem you need the newest xposed version v87. Flash it normally and wipe cache/dalvik , thats it !
I had that, I fixed it by boot to twrp flash the xposed uninstaller zip to remove xposed, then the phone should boot normally, I then found a newer version of xposed (the November security patch in 3.2.8 doesn't like older versions) and flashed it via twrp again, all my modules were still there and didn't need setting up again either.
Hope that helps

Need help, i have been using custom roms since i got the phone, was on the newest cdroid from today or yesterday, decided i wanted to try OOS, i updated to official twrp 3.2.0.2 and downloaded the full OOS zip.
Formatted data, transfered OOS zip and magisk 16 to phone, wiped everything except sdcard, flashed OOS and when I tried to flash magisk it gave me a error code 1. Tried blue twrp tried OOS 5.04, and still does the same thing please help!
I had the same error last night but it's all right, you can go ahead and continue, it will boot up. You can install the universal TWRP by codeworkx.

Let It boot oos first time, then try with magisk 16.3 in TWRP official.
Hi all, I had just updated my phone to DP2 (clean install, full wipe using system image ppp2)
I've got TWRP installed as well. After flashing magisk 16.4 zip, the phone goes into a bootloop. Any thoughts or suggestions on how to solve this?

I had a similar issue. Certain magisk version seem to not play well with DP2. Try flashing Magisk beta 15.3.
I solved it by uninstalling my old magisk modules using uninmod (I believe). It couldn't boot because of some module I still had activated

That wasn't it, i had no modules. I fixed it though.
Here's my mistake:
I did a clean wipe as i had to unlock_critical. I was on the January patch. This removed everything, and i went ahead and flashed the ppp2 image for pixel 2 xl without flag thinking it wasn't necessary (mistake?)
I then went ahead to setup the phone, and transfer my titanium backup files into the phone (mistake i believe).
My issue arises.
I went back and reflash the ppp2 image with the -w flag again.
Booted into the phone, skipped every step possible in setup until i got to the lock screen.
Boot into bootloader, and loaded twrp.img
flashed twrp.zip, magisk16.4.zip in the temp twrp image
rebooted and it loaded.
Hopefully this is helpful to others trying to do the same thing!
Hi,
After making a clean flash of the latest official global 8.7.26, I tried to flash magisk (it worked on my previous installation, 8.7.12), but I get a bootloop everytime.
Any ideas on how to fix that ?
Cheers
Edit: solved, see my solution 5 posts below.
i have 8.7.26 and magisk 16.7 everything ok

So you flashed the rom, and then flashed magisk zip, and it worked ?
I wonder why it's not working for me
Edit: tried flashing uninstaller twice, then flashing magisk again, no success. Tried with lazy flasher, nothing. Same with 16.0 and 16.7
installed the Room, Reboot,installed magisk
Rip me then. Any other things I could try ?
All right I solved it, here's what I did:
- Go to settings -> About phone -> System update -> menu (3 dots) -> Download update
- Your phone will download something. (I was on the latest version available already, so my guess is it re-downloads the update package for the current version )
- Install the update (it did it in TWRP). The phone should reboot automatically.
- Boot back into TWRP, you can now flash magisk and boot without problems.
You can try Magisk 16.4. It works for me, but Xposed is still not working. Any Idea?
Hey all, I have always updated each month using the simple methods posted here, just doing a fresh install of each factory image.
I have got the november update installed, TWRP installed. However, I cannot for the life of me get the magisk install to "take".
I have installed various versions, 16.7 17.1 and 17.3 in TWRP, have rebooted to system each time, and yet no magisk zip. Have even tried doing fresh install wiping system, magisk uninstall, etc. Anything you can think I am doing wrong?
I just checked and its nothing wrong with the TWRP method... I was just able to install sultan zip from it. Any other way I can get magisk manager/Magisk zips? I have always just flashed the zip from TWRP. please help, thanks

Very strange, but it just worked, after the 20th time of doing the same thing. Who knows why
Hey, my issue with Magisk is a bit different. I've upgraded my Pixel 2 XL every month and flashed Magisk afterwords. What I keep running into for the past couple of months is that after I'm all done, I will get a notification that there's an update to Magisk, but it's the same version I already have. I've tried different versions from 16.7 to the beta 17.3 and I would always seem to lose root after a while and be prompted to download the update to Magisk. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.
I am having the same issue with magisk after updating to nov update. Did the flashall then booted twrp and flash magisk Not sure why

Run the Magisk uninstaller first
run 17.1 or the uninstaller. i've had better luck with 17.1
I guess the issue is linked to the Active Edge Module!
Download "uninmod_magisk", install it via TWRP, execute it via Terminal in TWRP, delete the Active Edge Module.
Now you can boot and reinstall that module.
