Hello guys, so I can not post into MTCD forum, thats why i posted here. I have got a random headunit from a friend to repair, said it was working before but he applied an update and since then it is just a boot loop. So my guess is they put the wrong kind of software on it, i have already tried factory rom, and two custom roms, yet it still restarts. The strange is that rarely it boots up. When starting it shows a BMW logo and sometimes artifacts too. Can anybody help me in telling what kind of software do i need, is it maybe a hardware problem? I can enter in recovery, i can flash new roms on to it, but i just cant find why is it in boot loop..
thanks in advance, here is some extra infos:

hey guys ,
I recently bought this car kit for Honda Civic 2007 and android started being slow and won't see any USB devices I insert. I was thinking maybe there is a new android version because it's running android 4 and when it's checking for updates it says it's up to date. According to ebay the manufacturer is YZG . I was thinking maybe i can grab another OS from another kit and install it ? or a factory setting reset would be the safest option here to fix the USB reading bugs and hanging ?

Hello,
I have an Hizpo Android Radio.
since a couple of days is randomly reboot every couple of minutes, sometimes i can drive for half an hour and no problems and out of nowhere a reboot.
Sometimes it is in sort of a boot loop and when i turn the car off for a while the bootloop is gone.
What can i do about this?
When i try to do a system update from the settings it doesnt seem to do anything.
I also have an MCU update button but i dont know what that is.

Hello,
I have been reading a lot of posts in the forum and it's all quite confusing.
I bought a new box and I'm experiencing the issue with bt/wifi https://forum.xda-developers.com/android-auto/mtcd-android-head-units-general/mtce-xrc-v2-941-px5-wifi-bluetooth-wake-t3871755
This is my current box details
MCU = MTCE_XRC_V2.93_2 Aug 23 2018
Build = px5-userdebug 8.0.0 OPR5.170623.007 eng.hct.20180919.161540 test-keys
Kernel = 4.4.93+ [email protected] #3236 Jul 5 2018
Questions are:
-Is there an update available for my MCU?
-I saw an user that posted an update from Xtrons (MCU = MTCE_GS_V2.94_3 Sept 13 2018) will this be compatible with my box?
I would like to get rid of the annoying issue, not sure whether a MCU upgrade will fix it or not, but I would like to try.
Thanks

Hi All,
I have a car Multimedia with the following info:

Is it possible to upgrade the unit?
If it is, can someone please send a guide and the needed image/software to upgrade my Multimedia system?
Thanks!
Yes, that should be possible. I am also new to all this but I managed.
The latest version appears to be 2.74, which you can find here.
Backup your Factory settings. The password should be 126. If it's not try searching the forum. There are like 3 or 4 possible passwords to enter the factory settings. Once you managed to enter export the configuration. Or take picture of every sub menu. Just in case the setting will get overwritten.
I think the USB drive has to be FAT16 formatted but I am not sure about that. Maybe check out Alex's Android Radio channel on youtube. He also does videos in English.
