Make sure you've granted tasker. All the permissions in app info + root and allow to modify system settings you may need to use something like secure settings to toggle data

On rooted device
Tasker > Run Shell >
Command -> svc data enable / svc data disable
check - Use Root

I was just checking out my data usage and there is a 10147 with almost 3 gigs and I can't find any info on it. There's no app settings button at the bottom, no corresponding app. I haven't rooted yet, but I'll try and search in the for system to see what I can find but does anyone have any idea what it is?

What do you do most on your tablet? surfing the web?
I find that as a wakelock on my phone all the time
Web/apps I am constantly trying out apps then uninstalling them also constantly on the web. And I don't ever let the screen lock so I don't know if it's preventing anything.

Looks like a PID, what does the output of:
Code:
ps |grep 10147
...yield in a terminal?
After rooting my phone I no longer have an option in my notifications dropdown menu (not exactly sure how to say it) for my mobile data toggle. I'm using a rooted stock ROM.

You can simply install a very small app called "Data On-Off" from play store, it all allows you to add a widget to toggle data on/off
Anyone ever get this popup randomly all the time? I can't get it to stop. It's not a Chromecast issue either as the person doesn't have it installed.

I've seen it too but not sure what it's reading as a nearby device. Is it my wife's phone, the laptop, etc.

Try playing with the notification options in Settings > Google > Nearby
Facebook was causing this issue. Every time I click on a video in Facebook it tried to cast it. Force closing FB worked.
Go to Settings > application manager > click on the 3 vertical points in the top right side on the screen and select "show system apps" (if your phone does not have the 3 vertical points, search on google how to show system apps in your phone) > then go to Nearby Devices app > Notifications > turn off Previews in pop-ups, go to Nearby Service app > Notifications > turn off Previews in pop-ups. my phone is a Samsung Galaxy A5
Greetings....i'm gonna show you guys a simple way to reset adaptive brightness on Mi A3.....
You need this apps or any apps that can launch app activities....
Apps : Quick Shortcut Maker
This apps is old but very useful since it has a "try" option where you don't need to make a shortcut in your home screen if you want to reset the Adaptive Brightness....
So here is the step....
1. Disable the Adaptive Brightness in settings/display
2. Install the apps
3. Launch the apps and scroll down until you see Device Health Services like in the screenshot
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
4. Now click on the Device Health Services (clear storage) use the "try" option like in the screenshot
5.Once you have click on it, you can choose either "Return Adaptive Brightness to Factory Default Settings" or "Clear All Data for Device Health Services including Battery Statistics and Adaptive Brightness data" like in the screenshot
6. once you have reset it then exit the apps and reboot your Mi A3...
That is the guide on how to properly reset Adaptive Brightness...hope this guide can help you out....
Helpful... thanks

Android 10 = Android Auto within the system
if you want to have the app (to change settings, etc..) you need to download the app from the playstore.
