Only issue that I have with it is that it works maybe 70 percent of the time.

I would look into that. :good:
I find it works great if you do it at there tap rate lol if you do it too fast or slow it doesn't seem to register all the time, but other then that no complaints.

i always have my phone right next to me but have my phone set up with a pattern unlock security for those moments that i leave it somewhere in a hurry and not worry about someone being able to get into my stuff but since 95% its right next to me i hate having to do the pattern unlock even though i can do the pattern fast i prefer not have too... so is there an app or shortcut so i can have my phone without a lock but for those quick moments that i need it locked i can activate it with just pressing that app instead of having to go into settings and manually setting it up again then remove it?
Not sure if there is an app specifically for that. Best I can think of is you might be able to set a condition using a app like tasker or impel. Basically, "if I press this button then enable this" I'm not sure how well or if this would even work but its worth a look I suppose.

I have been using no lock from the market.. It works great to flip your lock screen on or off. Works great on GB.. Flaky on ICS

I don't know of any particular app that does that but I just set my security settings to automatically lock with a delay. I generally leave it at about one or two minutes.

I am using NO LOCK right now on ICS and yea it's not perfect but I can keep the PIN CODE lockscreen and then use the app to disable it when I want.

Tried this and so far working great just what i was looking for. Hopefully someone can figure out a way for the phone to do it without having to install a third party app, but for now NO LOCK is working great. Thanks.

I did this but ill use it for a quick minute or less then it will shut off then at the time i turn the screen back on its locked and i have to unlock it and what i wanted was when suddenly i have to put my phone down and i want it to be locked with a push of a button without having to go into settings and setting it up . thanks either way as well.
Tasker will do anything you can possibly think of. Including this.

No Lock No Work But...
No Lock didn't work but a different app from the store call No Lock Screen works like a charm (for the exact problem you described).
hey @Ma$etas , do you found another app or way to solve your problem ?
Same as you, I need on demand lock screen, I lock when I want. I didn't want to unlock using pattern or pin every time I use my phone.
But, I need to lock it sometimes. If I left my phone on desk, when I'm sleeping and any other condition

I have had the phone for less a week and I have had to pull the battery twice cause the screen became unresponsive to touch. Was wondering if any one else has had this issue. Very frustrating.

Once today after I woke the screen while shopping, it just froze. Again a few days back when I think I was editing text in an online form. I wonder if the keyboard is playing a role...

If it the lg key board then I would agree. No issues once I went to google or swift key boards
Happened on the G3 that I exchanged last week. Woke it from deep sleep and unlocked the lock screen but after that it was semi frozen. I could turn the screen off and on with the power button but that was it. Had to do a battery pull.

does it still happen? mine randomly freezes on lockscreen. I will have to wait a minute or so and then it comes back to life
I am experiencing this problem as well. It didn't start happening until I turned off the Knock On feature.
I have to battery pull my phone about twice a day.
I don't want to turn Knock On back on because it is a battery drain and it incredibly sensitive.
Does anyone know a solution?

Just had it again in line at Costco...annoying. After a pull I've downloaded No Lock and activated it...this is the second time in two days it has frozen transitioning from wake to unlock screen. I'll report back in a few days if this was a fix.

Mine is doing the same thing and tends to do it at least every other day. Mine hard locks to the point of requiring a battery pull. From what I've found:
1. It happens on ART more than Dalvik. I left it on Dalvik for 4 days and it didn't happen once.
2. Mine tends to lock up most frequently when I pull the notification shade down while on the lock screen, probably accounting for 75% of the locks.
Is this consistent with anyone else's experience?
Mine will do every two to three days or so, but I stopped using the LG keyboard and am using the Google keyboard and seems to have helped. Also it gives me a warning before it goes dead to touch in that it shudders a bit.

It started after I turned off the Knock On off. Which I did thru the secret menu. I literally have to bang on screen to make it wake up.

Mine freezes every other day, and sometimes twice in the same day. Running stock launcher, all animations off, and ART. All freezes seem to be after double-tap wake, and then either a notification swipe or page scroll..still looking for patterns.

I'll just add that last night I added 'No Lock' app and enabled it, so now only a wake to get to desktop, and no freeze since, but it's only been a day, too early to tell.
Anyone else experiencing a really long delay when you try to wake your phone up? About 70% of the time when I wake my phone up to just use my phone, it has a bad delay. Most of the time it will take around 7 - 10 seconds for the screen to turn on.
I am stock and un-rooted. I have gone into the stock recovery and cleared the cache partition a couple of times, but that doesn't help. I am really hoping for S-off soon. I'm hoping that a custom rom can fix it.
I'm also experiencing this same problem, drives me insane. I'm hoping that maybe the forthcoming 5.1 update will address that issue.
I've never experienced this. I'm stock still. Kinda sounds like a runway app causing the problem.
Never saw this on launch os or 5.1. Have you tried running it without apps for a while?
Last night I disabled instagram. It seemed to fix the problem so far. I don't use it much anyway. My battery stat still shows it as number 2 on the list. I just uninstalled it. Maybe it will fix some issues.
I have this too...but I'd say only about 30 percent of the time. I use the double tap to wake aout it certainly does not all the time.
Mine does it sometimes. I don't know if it's a delay because I push the power button again and it comes on. Another thing that drives me up the wall is that the screen doesn't wake up after taking the phone away from my ear during a call sometimes. I'll have to push the power button to turn the screen on.

This sounds like either a case problem, or proximity sensor.
You can test the sensor in htc advantage app.

I just tried it, it passed the tests a few times. I have a spigen neo hybrid so it doesn't come even close to the sensor. Who knows.

Mine doesn't wake up after a call sometimes. It just started doing the delay thing again. I wonder if it has anything to do with memory leak on 5.0? I may disable a couple games I downloaded this week and see if that fixes it.

I have to double tap at least 2-3 times before the phone wakes up.

Yup..
Seriously, why not using the fingerprint scanner? Because of the CIA? It's so much faster then DT2W.
Edit: I off course do agree it should work the way you want, but i was just wondering.
Just don't like it when things don't work the way they should..
Same here with OOS 3.2.2 Sometimes i have to tap 10 times to wake up.

Hi all, does anyone encounter any issues when using their back button on the note 10+? Very office I have to tap multiple times in order to return to the previous page. I wonder if this is a ROM issue here.

You should try it. It is developed by Samsung
I believe you can switch where the buttons are located. Might have to get to Developer Settings to do it, but I am pretty sure there is a way. I think you can not only switch where the buttons are located, but also add another button into the mix too. Can't remember where I saw the guide on how to do this, but 99% sure you can.

It's not about the back button locating on the left or right, it's about the back button intermittently not working.
