Hi people I've been using official lineage 14.1 off and on but one thing deters me from using it regularly and that is that the screen occasionally freezes for about 30 secs and then goes back to normal. This does not happen on stock at all ever..
I just wanted to know if anyone else has this issue and if so is there any kind of fix. I've also experienced this on most other lineage based rons. Any input appreciated thanks

HI! I use Galaxy Grand with Cosmic CM and problem is as soon as the battery goes on 14% the phone directly goes to 4% switches off after 1-2 minutes, I faced same problem when I previously used Resurrection Remix. Can anybody help me regarding this issue?

is ROM issue. Use another rom.if issue persist then might be a battery issue.
this happens with me on stock rom too recently.

It never used to happen before. And this doesn't happen in stock rom. (In my case)

I have the same problem. As soon the the battery percentage hits 30 and below, within no time the devices will shutdown almost immediately. I have changed multiple ROMs, and this happens in the stock ROM too. I changed the battery, but the problem persists.

Same problem, going 14 to 4 and switch off. On Cosmic CM.
I have the Chinese version of the Find 7 currently running MoKee 44.4 because I thought this issue was caused by AOSPA, which I flashed for the first time yesterday. Anyway when I make a call the screen turns off as it should and will not come back on no matter what I do. I have to reboot the phone every time. I looked through similar threads but they all seem to be unrelated to having a custom rom; this problem only started occurring after I flashed one & everything worked fine when I was running Color OS 2.0. I tried installing a new dialer but the same problem happened.
Does anyone know of a way not to have the screen turn off when making a call or better yet how to fix the issue?

I'm having a very similar situation with Paranoid Android 4.6 (both beta4 and latest beta6).
If I long-press home button, I'm sent back to the lock screen, but only after the call is finished.
Maybe there's a problem with AOSPA's proximity sensor during calls?
Sometimes, the screen will not turn off, but the screen will not react to any touch input during the call.
Power button will turn screen off but not back on again.
This is a problem coming from ColorOS 2.0.x.
I will try to flash back to and older version of ColorOS. After that try an AOSP rom.

Whit all rom use CM11 based or similar, I have black screen when I call, and no input possible!
the only ROM stable is the Kakulay, bet it have several problem whit the contacts management! it confuse the name and numbers in the memory and SIM card!

This is happening to me for 2 months now, I was running official 12.1CM and now official 13CM
I tried to also use some stock based rom but im pretty sure it happened there too.
Whats happening to me is that randomly throughout the day my phone's screen turns black and I cant reboot it by any home button combination, only by getting out the battery.
When this happens the phone just totally freezes and I cant get it to respond or make a sound.
I don't think that the phone dies because sometimes when its freezes I can still see the notification led blinking.
Does anyone know why this might happen? or where can i copy some logs that might help you guys figure it out?

sounds like you have the sleep of death issue? Personally I haven't been on CM roms much on my G3 so I haven't really encountered this issue but on my previous phone I've encountered this a few times on CM.
EDIT: Though it shouldn't happen on stock are you sure it happens on stock as well?
I have this issue as well using the Exodus rom. I never had it while using a stock rom, so I think this is a cyanogenmod issue (Exodus is a CM based rom in 5.1).
I have the exact same issue with my vs985. Seems to happen the most when viewing any sort of video, but I have had it happen at other times as well. Pretty dang annoying, probably 3-4 times a day. Using CM 13.0-20151217-nightly-vs985 but it started when I first flashed CM. Never had the issue on stock rooted rom.

Problem description:
When device is unlocked. After some time the screen is ON it starts touching by itself at the middle of the screen.
Always the same spot. It doesn't matter if I'm using my phone at that moment or not, touchscreen can touch itself while I'm using it and it interrupts my usage.
I am not using any modifications. Only lineage root is installed. The problem started after installing Lineage OS official build, one of the first 5 builds, and continues to happen till now.

Try stock ROM again, if it still happens, your display has a hardware issue

Today I updated from lineage os 14.1 as per instructions. Phone was running smooth until but after some timemy phone stopped working suddenly after taking a call, for no apparent reason. I Restarted the phone and at lock screen, screen is totally unresponsive ( cant type my pin) and goes dark and phone reboots again!!! I don't know what causes this, as it never happened before.
Is this more likely to be a software or hardware problem? I am new to this, Please help -.-
