Erm. Where's the home button on the browser?

I hope I'm being blind but I can't see it. Hell I only found out recently that a long press on the back button brings up bookmarks, history and saved web pages.
Someone please tell me I'm being blind.

I could be wrong, but I don't think there's been a home button in stock browser in a long time (if ever).
Im guessing if you open a new window, it will go to your homepage.

That is a massive tip it's been drving me nuts having to scroll to the top.

Yea I don't think there is a home button. I like the Honeycomb browser and the MIUI Siren Browser where the tabs are visible at the top like a desktop browser.

Not quite the home button but you can type a search into the address bar (with a quick flick to bring to life)

Although I can't answer your question, I like to thank you for the tip. Long pressing the back button is a great shortcut to get fast into the bookmark menu!

once enable, by touching the frame, the blue control appear.
the first one gives you opened tabs.
the middle globe gives you the search address bar immediatly,
and the ... give you extra menu.

Disable Soft Keys?

Hi there
How do I disable the soft on screen keys?
They get in the way and take up space when gaming or sometimes watching films I want to be able to swipe down when I dont need them or for them to disappear automatically.
Im on stock, unrooted.

Flash a rom like cm that includes support for extended desktop. That's exactly what you're looking for

Yeah Just use Cm.
Just hold the power button and press disable keys.
Works perfect! Gaming is 2x better with it gone now!

Hide Bottom Bar
Alternatively, use this.
Grr, sorry, mainly a lurker, and XDA won't let me post a link. Search for 'Hide Bottom Bar' in the play store.
Requires root, works well for me for gaming and ebooks.

Are the cm roms stable?

Yeah, they're pretty stable, even the nightlies.

Add this line to your build.prop.
qemu.hw.mainkeys=1
It makes the phone think it has capacitive buttons and disables the nav bar.
then just use LMT Launcher to navigate though the phone.

I use the app full screen toggle then I use button savior to take place of the soft keys the top pic is with my soft keys still hidden look at the lower right to see an grey arrow by my l key. The second pic the soft keys are now out. Notice I still have my my status bar which u don't get with using full screen mode on roms like cm.

[Q] Asus Flip cover - clock not centered anymore

Hi, I'm using the Zenfone 2 for more than a month now. Having a Flip Cover from Nilkin. Was working without issues for almost a month. Today from one min to the other the clock is just not centered anymore. When you activate it through the circle view it appears around half a centimeter deeper than it should be. No clue what caused that and I don't get it back. Already installed the image again. No change - anybody else having such issue? Otherwise I will send the cover back as it is just ugly when the ring around the clock is not in centre.

You can adjust the display from the lock screen.

Thanks for your feedback! Can you tell me how to move the clock? Because on the lockscreen the circle clock is not visible. And once I close the cover I can't move the clock. Sorry for dumb question .

Under settings, Asus cover make sure you have selected the quick settings app to display.
With cover closed swipe left or right until you reach the quick settings screen. Then use the screen adjustments to move the circle.

Navbar keeps turning white on home screen

I recently installed the unlocked firmware (XAA, G955U1UEU1AQG2) on my Verizon S8+ and every time I come out of using split-screen (multi-window), the navbar on the home screen will change from transparent with white buttons to white with gray buttons. It doesn't matter what mode the navbar is in. The only way to clear it is to restart the phone. Is anyone else that's running the most most recent version of the unlocked firmware seeing this?

I figured out what was happening. I needed to exit out of split-screen, not swipe down on the bottom window.

Yeah, I love it, it runs smoothly. It doesn't have WiFi calling or Verizon voicemail built in. I know there are mods for WiFi calling, but I don't wanna go through the headache of setting it up. I just use Hangouts (with my Google Voice number) if I ever need to make a WiFi call and Google Voice for my voicemail.

First select select which window you want to close (by physically touching). You'll see the blue line between the windows move in the direction of the window you touch. Then press the little white hash in the middle and then a menu will pop up. Then press X.

Question Any ROM/Magisk Module/App to expand apps past hole punch?

Thread title, really.
I've missed immersive mode on my 7 Pro ever since I got my 9 Pro, there wasn't any time I would ever turn it off on my 7 Pro and it's why I'm keeping it on Android 10. But Android 11 lacks immersive mode so I can't use it on my 9 Pro. I fear burn in so I've had my status bar permanently hidden (set to 0px) and I just bring it down with a gesture when I need to view notifications.
But even though the status bar is 0px, all my apps still know the holepunch is there and push the content below the holepunch / make a black bar above the holepunch. Is there any setup that you guys know of that ignores the holepunch? Bonus points of its on a per-app basis. I know Samsung phones can use Good Lock to accomplish this, and it's crazy that a phone that doesn't even need root can accomplish this but I can't seem to find a solution for my phone with an unlocked bootloader lol.
But yeah, I really just want a way to force apps to ignore the holepunch. Anything?

That's what I'm using to force my status bar to 0px. Unfortunately the whole ignore holepunch thing doesn't seem to work on OOS11. Unless you found some way?

Did you enable this in Dev Settings? It appears when you are using G-Visual mod

Yeah, but even after enabling, it only affects the status bar and no other app. Even in your screenshot, I can see your settings app pushed considerably below where your status bar is. Seems like a true immersive mode is just impossible on Android 11

Oh sorry I misunderstood you, the G-Visual mod makes the app go full screen (with status bar) in portrait mode.
