I replaced my HTC HD's lcd+touch+digitizer because i accidently crack my touch screen...
I found the set on e-bay as ''i594 Hot Genuine LCD screen for HTC Touch HD/T8282" for 53€ (app.77$) .
Dismounting the HD has not an easy job for me - cause I had no experience in such operations - but I need it. The screen responds to the touch and everything is normal but... NO BABKLIGHT!!!
I dismount the phone 2nd time, nothing...
I made a hard reset ,still nothing...
Was I a fool to buy from e-bay or I did something wrong? I used the service manual step by step...
If someone can help I 'll be pleased to listen...
I'd try the old cracked display to check and see if the backlight is working. If your old display is working, the new one is probably faulty.

Today I'll request a new set from this company -out of charge - and I hope that everything will - finally - work... Allthough I'll wait for at least another 20-25 days.
Do you have a link to the article you bought or the name of the seller? I bought a screen unit off of ebay as well (and the title of the article is almost identical) and mine was damaged as well. If it's the same seller, we might have a scam on our hands...
I demanded a replacement from the seller, but they said they couldn't send me one, because allegedly they sent all the units back to the original manufacturer to have them checked. Not sure if I can believe that though...
EDIT: My seller is "e2euro".
"My seller is "e2euro"."
... I'm afraid you are right...
Same scam... but no answer yet...
I'm but what should we do about it?

Sorry about my late answer - I was in Madrid for five days!
The seller does usually answer me within a day... I'm going to contact them once more to check on the current status of things - and if they don't offer a acceptable solution, I'm going to get my money back via paypal and complain on ebay! Not sure, if there is anything else we can do...
Ok, so let me start off by saying that my original Nexus had a burn in problem.
So I called Verizon and ordered a replacement, which I got yesterday, however, the replacement has what seems to be a screen calibration error(def. not hardware). I know I can fix it by rooting it, but I dont feel like going through all that work, nor I dont think its my responsibility to fix it.
Anyway, the issue on my new screen is that it has a blue tint and it is too over saturated in some areas and washed out in others.
So should I send the replacement back for another one?
If its bothering you send it back until you get a good phone. You are keeping it for 2 years. Or you could get a newer phone.
Today is a very sad day for me somehow my new htc one x's capaticive buttons stopped working i restarted and even factory resetted and they are not working anymore
my previous htc hd2 was stopped digitizer working too. How unlucky i am.
I guess I neet to install CWM and using on screen button
which rom do you reccomend? ı used to install couple roms to hd2 but i havent tried with one x
thank you all
Factory reset will only reset it to the rom you have flashed. Have you tried flashing the correct ruu for your phone? When you say it's new, how new? New enough to return to where you got it for replacement?

capacitive buttons stopped working
my htc one x touch sensitive buttons have stopped working like a week ago, i then installed the coldjellybean by which i got that onscreen buttons after 2 days the buttons started working n i thought of selling the set but as i was going to make a deal with a person that day the problem appeared again, i dont have the warranty left and the screen replacement is quite not an option. Is there any trick that i can work on to make them work again.

it could be just the digitizer and on ebay you can find it quite cheap.

i took the phone to my local market n came to know that the their isnt any separate capacitive buttons cable, it is embedded within the lcd, so if i have to order then whole complete lcd + digizer + module, and i checked the online purchase price is almost the same price the local market ppl are offering that is near 60 dollars.
Just that i am not sure why does the buttons stopped working and if somehow why they started working n now have again stopped ;(

not sure what you mean.. look at this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Touch-S...865?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4d02ec98e9
anyway it happened to me with another phone that a portion of the digitizer stopped working for a few days, then it started working again and then it stopped for good and had to replace it.

hmmm, well actually i was reading all the other threads with this issue and came upton this
Code:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1696552
Which shows "DO NOT try to replace the screen by yourself" and i can see that on my set that its rather v hard to do this thing instead everyone says to buy the whole module as it is very complex thing to do.

it is hard to separate the digitizer from the lcd but it's doable and nothing like the iphone digi+lcd that uses an epoxy adhesive. so if you are carefull (or have someone skilled doing it for you) you wont break the lcd and you'll save quite some money. it's true though that the new digitizer wont stick to the lcd as well as a "genuine combo digi+lcd" and you will notice dust building in between the two. my advice, if you know someone that is skilled enough, try get the digitizer off without breaking the lcd and if you manage that then buy the new digitizer. otherwise since you said that changing the whole digi+lcd is not an option you can always try sell your one x as damaged or use it as an expensive paperweight.
best of luck mate, i hope you solve it one way or another.

haha that paperweight thing made my day... well thanks for the advice but i think i am going to wait until it gets ok by itself as it happened before until then icecoldjelly rom would be a temporary solution for the onscreen buttons. Thanks anyway
Hi there.
My Desire GSM LCD broke a few days ago, so I got a new one. Both are the Sony Super LCD version. The screen works, except it seems to display only 256 colors or even less. I checked the assembly twice, I changed my rom (Mildwild CM7 then HTC stock then CronMod CM9), it didn't change a thing.
Does someone have an idea before I try to convince the seller the replacement is defective and he has to send me another screen?
Thanks in advance!
PS: despite being a shameful noob on this board, I checked for similar issues, with no luck.
Hi, a few of you may know me from a thread i posted a few months back about how my OnePlus 5T broke on me. Basically, the display of the device stopped responding to touch out of the blue without any drops or water damage. This is a somewhat rare manufactures defect of the device and i have found at least half a dozen people that has it. There was someone from the OnePlus forums that mentioned that OnePlus India accepted this as their fault. Unfortunately, i didn't buy the warranty when i bought the phone from a third party so i can't have the phone replaced.
According to the third party repair shop i trust with all my phones, the touchscreen IC of the phone failed and that's why touches weren't registering. So i paid 130 dollars for the repair. But it doesn't seem like the phone wants to stay fixed. The same problem came back three times throughout the last week and i had to take the phone back to the repair shop for the same repair three times.
Can someone here that's knowledgeable enough about the hardware of this phone tell me what might be wrong with the phone? I already paid a sum i really can't afford anymore to this place so i can't afford to have someone else check it. And i don't know about these things enough to be able to debug the problem myself.
If this isn't a good place to ask these type of questions, I would really appreciate if someone can atleast tell me where i could get a solid answer to this problem. I need to fix this phone so that i can sell it because i'm in a tight spot right now.
Thank you!

Talk to one plus. Regardless of who you bought it from it should have the manufacturers warranty on it for 1 year. Go straight to one plus
