there is a method. Actually I also bought free books. I am not sure if it is allowed to discuss it here, so to avoid any discrepancies, just google it and you will see the answer

what should I google? I know about public websites that have ebooks, most have non-fiction or really old stuff though...
Check your local library website, mine has an electronic library where I can check out all sorts of new books for free in kindle format.

For your information, almost all questions in this Sections are just Dumb, so basically spams. Plus, I only did this once(this thread) so it cannot be considered a spam. And now I have permission to post in the Developer section :] and just so you know, I've been on xda for a long time, but never registered, so I know the rules much better than you do I really needed to ask some devs questions, so I HAD to spam. Well, sorry
well I think that's quite clever:silly:
AW: Need enough posts to reply to the dev section?
This 10-post-rule is quite boring as I don't think developers read the threads there...
And as you say, most of the questions could be googled...

Well, if you haven't realised it yet, what you call dumb questions are serious Q's for some people... What if I knew all about quantum physics, and you asked me a question, and I called you dumb?

10 helpful posts are not that hard to come by. There will always be someone out there that needs help and maybe, just maybe, YOU could give them the key they have been missing.

Why can't we do off-site linking for anything? Can anyone help me out with an ACTUAL answer instead of banning me when I ask?
And if this is true, why? What is the harm if it's here to help users?
Off site linking I thought was fine. Unless you are linking to anything requiring users to sign up to do anything on said links page. Also no vulgar webpages.

Nope it's a legitimate question sir. Thank you.
I was linking off-site to help some US Cellular users who didn't know where to go because XDA supports NO US Cellular phones and I was on the AT&T forums and the moderators banned me because I linked to TeamUSCellular (a forum that supports US Cellular customers and devices). They wouldn't tell me why I was banned other than I was so called "spamming". So I'm just trying to understand their policy so this doesn't happen again.

Without reading the actual posts, couldn't directly say, but generally the mods (at least in this section) are pretty freaking reasonable, and I've only seen a ban come from some pretty serious offences. They take their jobs seriously, and don't throw out bans without some good understanding of the situation/user.
If KG or JH (as an example) had banned you for "spamming", you would have had to be pretty repeatedly unapproved-link-happy after being warned not to, to evoke that wrath.
Sent from my calculator watch.
Hmm, well it was jcase who had told me I was spamming. Two times he banned me for "spamming" as he said in the ban notice. Twice I asked how I was spamming and wanted more info on the problem and got no reply from him. So it doesn't really make sense. If we can't link off-site how do we assist users publicly without messaging each one that comes along? Ya know?
There were no warnings or info from anyone telling me what specifically was done wrong.
What I really don't get is how I went 2 years posting off-site links in the Motorola Photon sections without any issues. A lot of things were to my own site that I made for helping users of that phone and other links to the TeamUSCellular forums where we support the Electrify (Photon variant). Never had any issues over there. So again I'm stumped.
OP you have been "Judged".

Could anyone help me out in this regard?
Thanks a lot.
