Best LED manager on Oreo? - OnePlus 5T Questions & Answers

What's everyone using as a notification light manager? I've tried Light Manager and currently Light Flow, but they seem to work at first but then I stop getting the light coming on. With Light Flow, I have set it to "don't optimise" in battery settings, it has root access, tried direct mode and also persistent notification, but can't seem to get them to stick. Running Oreo beta.

Anyone?

No problem, hope it works for you.

Is it possible to turn off the LED while charging? With LOS and Light Manager Pro it was no problem, but I find no solution for OOS. Has somebody a way for OOS?

Best app to control LED settings other than LightFlow?
What's wrong with light flow?
i think right now the best light flow
Why is it that so many people on XDA either 1) reply with another question and no answer or 2) with a statement that is not an answer because they didn't really read/understand the OP.
I have not found any other apps, besides light flow, for controlling the led. Some custom ROMs (CM9/10) have built in led control

If you have a question for another question is maybe cause the first question is not just clear.
So, isn't wrong to reply with a question. This could help to get a more detailed context, in wich you can give better answers.

IMO: you should switch to a CM based ROM (or a ROM like e.g. "BAKED Black Bean" from user Travp) which has the CM hack included.
Then you don't have to use a third party app like LightFlow because the CM hack just works

Does CM hack have individual LED color settings for contacts, sms etc... like LightFlow does?
The problem I have with lightflow is that sometimes it "turns off" and I have to re-open it.

It has all the essential setup possibilities in there, yes. LightFlow is more powerful but I think the CM hack offers everything one could ask for. And it works

lol I don't need it that specific, I mean things like charging, charged, missed call/sms/mms from general people, specific missed call/sms/mms for specific contacts, etc...
It can do all that? If it can I may switch because I am tired of Light Flow randomly not working then having to re-open it (yes accessibility is checked and yes run in foreground is checked)

No charging, charged, specific contacts/mms.
CM's implementation is limited to apps. So you select an app you want a notification for and the color and frequency of the light. That's it.

Not charging/charged lights... Or specific colors for calls/texts/emails from specific people. I could do without the contact specific option, but I love the charging lights. I have the wireless charging mod on my phone so I'm very, um, anal retentive, about making sure my charging setup is in good working order. I like to verify it with the lights. Plus, it's nice to know by a glance when your phone is full and good to go!
I wish I didn't have to use Lightflow, but CM just doesn't have the bells and whistles I prefer on that regard.
Thanks

Thank you for a good answer.... and nothing is wrong with lightflow i just wanted to know if there was anything else... hopefully AOKP will add the LED settings soon
is there anything that lights up the camera flash when the phone rings? this app doesn't work on the nexus
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1556118
The only thing I like light flow more than the aokp/cm10 type controls, is setting a standby light, or a service light that always pulsates even with no notification. Is that a run on sentence?

Hi m8,
I got mine yesterday (9076) which guide did you follow. I am tempted to try it out. I'll let you know if the skyline notification still works or not.
m8?
LOL!
Anyway, the gist of my steps are as below
1) Flash a custom recovery. I use Gummy's. For some reason it cannot mount my sdcard1 so had to put the CM installer and GAPPS in sdcard0
2) Flash CM and GAPPS in Gummy
3) Factory reset
Surprisingly, VOOC seems to work (charging real fast now). WiFi/BT/Rotation etc all works. Camera seems to take laggy videos though
Only thing not working for me at least is the notification light. I try toggling the pulsating options to no avail.

I have the 7a, but as I see it at the moment, there is one version of CM for both devices, and hardware is the same (besides screen and memory). So my guess is that it should work on both devices.
(Just got my 7a tuesday, and on cm-11-20140701-NIGHTLY-find7)
Unfortunately what's works on 7a not necessarily works on 7 now.

yep i can confirm this ...
To the person about VOOC: This is hardware related, doesn't have anything to do with software. So software will not make/break VOOC, it will always be there.
Notification light hasn't worked for me either (X9076) and tested every CM nightly ranging from 0701 until 0703. Having screen issues with all of them (not properly waking up from wake), so next test will probably be 0706 build.

Disable charging LED?

Hi All,
I was wondering whether anyone know of a way to disable the charging LED, specially the solid Green that comes on when the battery is full?
I am thinking some modification in /sys/class/leds might do it but not sure which is it.
I find that solid green indicator too bright and distracting when kept charging at bedside at night.
Hey, did you ever found a solution for these.. man that led gets bright at night!!!
GravityBox Xposed module
I think the charging LED is dumb, especially when it precludes notifications.
I mean, really, who watches the charging LED?
"Okay, watch this light and when it changes, unplug it!" ???
"Oh, nope, can't unplug the phone yet, the LED says not to!" ???

Nuts...you're not. It only disables the orange charging indicator, not the green charged indicator.
If it were red, I'd think Locutus of Borg was looking at me every time I looked at the screen.
A custom ROM might be our only hope...

Did you try the "Disable Charging Led" module? Its a standalone module and not part of Gravitybox. If I remember correctly, it had an option for charged led as well. But I haven't used it for a few months so not sure if I remember correctly or if it still works with HTC10.

Although it isn't disabling the charging LED, you can edit a boolean in /system/customize/ACC/default.xml to allow the green LED notification light to blink while charging.

notification led acting weird

when i try a while led for any notification, let's say whatapp,
whenever a text comes first pulse is completely while
second starts with purple and then white and then ends with green
and as the pulse count moves on purple and green become more prominent while the white diminishes
same thing happens with yellow too
dark colors are working fine though.
can anyone else test it and reproduce this thing
coz i dont know if its normal or device issue
it never happened on my opo

op2 experience
hi all! I'm a op2 owner thinking to move to a new op3. The issue you're experiencing was already in op2. The only way to fix, and it's not a real fix, is to use only the following color for your notifications:
red
blue
green
If you try any other color like purple, cyan, yellow, not sure about white, it starts with a sequence of different color...seems like kinda decomposition of the color you choose in its primary colors...or something like that...
disappointed the bug is still there....

if for set up you mean which firm/sofware it was 100% stock everything...it happened since the very first release of the oxygen, and it was the 2.0...and from that till the last 3.0.2 the bug is still there. I've tried also with third party app (even thou I hate to use third party app to use what it's supposed to be a "stock" feature...) but no way...same problem with all the apps I tried. Now I gave up and using only red blue and green (whatsapp, gmail and FB). text messages (SMS) have same color of emails..but I actually receive max 2 sms per month...
Thanks for keeping us informed. However I noticed that ,at least in my case, I can only choose WhatsApp to have a different led notification color. Other apps don't let me chose this color per app.

for per app you need to download lighflow or light master,
otherwise some third party apps like whatsapp can override system settings or else
you'll get a single color for all the notifications. u can change the color for missed calls though.

Reboot after making some changes or just reboot? Because if all it needs is a reboot, then your solution isn't working. My phone has been rebooted multiple times after I got it and made the led settings change but I still see the same colorful dance of led on every notification
I have the same issue here.

Is there a way, like in CM to assign different colours to different app notifications?? Like Gmail - Red, Facebook Messenger - Blue, Whatsapp - green . I'm having to use light manager to achieve this.

Xiaomi has started putting one colour leds in their devices. From what I have seen, no one has been able to enable colours on whyred's led. So, I assume the the led itself is white only.
It is only white.
Not only that, but it is also too dim.
It's dim and when it lights up when you have a notification, it's not smooth at all
